It's just fans who don't know what they are talking about and who just parrot the old talking points.

Ok. I can see that you and others feel that way. I actually like it and I'm against over legislating the game. I don't want to put even more on the officials for them to potentially mess up. We should be removing and simplifying the rules, not adding. That's my opinion.

It's no coincidence that the best RB production in years started coming when the Bills produced the best offensive line it has in years. If Cook was a complete back, it might be a different story for me. But he is a 50% of the snaps back because there are more competent options for pass blocking and receiving.
-
This is why RB's shouldn't get big contracts. It is not that difficult to replace their production with a guy on a rookie deal. Plus, the shelf life on RBs is shorter than any other position.
-
I think the point of the rule is to prevent players from picking up the ball carrier and physically carrying them. I bet if we saw that the officials would throw the flag.
-
Only pulling a player is not allowed. That doesn't ever get called, though. Not since the early 90's. It is called the QB sneak.
-
I don't think there is a case for it to be banned besides some people just not liking it, for some reason. It fits completely within the rules and the spirit of the game. Nobody has an issue with linemen pushing running backs forward when they get stopped.

Andre Cisco Highlight Reel_Case to be signed as Free Safety
MJS replied to MikePJ76's topic in The Stadium Wall
Hamlin is 6 ft tall and 200 pounds. He is not a small safety. He also isn't slow or unathletic like some like to claim. His RAS score is a 7, which means he is above average athletically for his position. -

Honestly, Hamlin is better in the box as well. But maybe that is what they want. Two safeties who have the ability to play in the box, run stuff, and blitz. -
That would be a cool game to go to. But there is no way they have any of that decided yet, right?

And he looks like a college kid. -
Where is this coming from? Why do fans keep saying this?

Bigger. Faster. Stronger. More complex offensive and defensive schemes.

Watching the playoffs again, i’m okay with Bass for now
MJS replied to Billsfed1's topic in The Stadium Wall
I doubt it. Either a kicker is kicking with proper technique or he is not. Any NFL kicker or special teams coach can immediately diagnose what the issue is in real time. Bass knew exactly what his issue was, but it took time to drill it out of himself. And the mental side of it is when you are thinking about using proper technique, it is hard to actually do it because you overthink everything and become robotic rather than just using muscle memory to do it. -
Yeah, how do people not see this? He was one of the big disappointments this year. He was bad. Cut him and move on.

And many of them flame out. It's still a crap shoot. -
Who had the most impressive MVP season among the three Bills MVP's????
MJS replied to Special K's topic in The Stadium Wall
And his 1975 season was even better. 2,243 scrimmage yards and 23 total TDs. It could be the greatest season ever by any player regardless of position. -

OJ and it isn't particularly close. -
That's not quite true. More money goes to the high value players, generally. Depth and lower end starters don't all go up in price at the same rate. Positional values also play into it. So, it can be more beneficial to certain teams more than others depending on their individual needs and cap issues.

NFL Off-Season Free Agency/Trade Positional Breakdown WR
MJS replied to billsfan89's topic in The Stadium Wall
I'd love to have Metcalf. I'm not too interested in any of the other options. Maybe just bring back Amari Cooper if they can't make a swing for someone better and then try to bring in some draft talent. -
Because I see clips and they are never funny.
-
Does anyone watch that anymore? It hasn't been funny in a long, long time.
