It’s official. The New York Jets legendarily suck!
MJS replied to Chandler#81's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
And it also isn't a selling point to come to this division. You have the Bills and Dolphins on the upswing, and you have the GOAT coaching in NE. This division is suddenly one of the hardest to win in. -

I feel like any decision an in-demand potential coach makes comes down to a couple things. They are, in order: 1) The QB situation 2) How much power they have been promised 3) Ownership and GM competence Having a lot of cap space just means you have no talent. It's a selling point, but kind of a lame one. The minute you take the job the clock starts. If you don't start winning significant games, you'll be fired within 2 to 3 seasons. So building a team from the ground up seems great, but it is also a huge risk. -

Yeah, the players and coaches played the Raiders tough. They are clearly trying. They had a goal line stand earlier. The way you tank is by getting rid of talent. There's no incentive for a player to not try his hardest. He would be putting bad tape of himself out there and that could lead to missed opportunities. Similar with coaches. Coaches almost never survive a tank, so why would they play along and assist in themselves getting fired? Now, when it's clear you suck I can see the effort of players and coaches waning because then all you have to play for is pride, and sometimes that isn't meaningful enough. But they are too competitive to go out there and try to lose. The Jets suck. Their players and coaches aren't motivated or happy, I'm sure. The writing is on the wall that everything is about to get blown up. -
Week 13: Bills at 49ers on MNF (in Arizona)
MJS replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Didn't a lot of money go against the Bills last week too? I think people are going to lose their money again. There's no reason the Bills shouldn't win this game. Obviously a loss is possible, but I don't think it is rational to believe that the 49ers are favored. -
I feel like there is only two or three guys in the entire NFL that produce like that. If you play fantasy football there is Kelce, Kittle is hurt, and then an endless gulf before you get to the next TE's (Tonyan in GB and Hockenson in Detroit). Just not a lot of production there league wide when compared to WR's and RB's. So while I'd love to have our own version of Kelce or Kittle, I'm not sure that's realistic. We would have to luck into that player. They are a supreme rarity.

Josh Allen the most blitzed QB in the NFL
MJS replied to Royale with Cheese's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'm assuming all of this is also affected by your schedule. Sometimes you face blitz happy schemes. Sometimes not. For instance, if you face Gregg Williams you pretty much know he'll be blitzing all game long regardless of who he is facing. -
Will Jerry Hughes get to double digit sacks?
MJS replied to Royale with Cheese's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Likely no. But that's ok. Sacks aren't everything (but I sure wish we had a consistent double digit sack guy...) -
So now you are just making stuff up? Not even remotely true.

Wouldn't it be dropbacks? Pass attempts doesn't include when he is sacked or scrambles. -

That's the total number of blitzes, right? But what's the percentage of times he is blitzed? -

Injuries can be tricky. Adrenaline covers a lot. I've been injured during games and hardly felt it until the next day. But I bet he will be fine. I agree. First to 20 wins. -
A big annoyance of mine is when your title is longer than the actual content you post. If you have, like, a one sentence thought, I don't think it warrants a new thread. Just find an existing thread to put it in. Some people like to post a brand new thread for every little thought that enters their head. Try to contribute to the community and foster good discussion. Err on the side of NOT posting a new thread. Find every opportunity to put your thoughts in an existing thread. If there is no place for it and you think it is meaningful and well developed THEN start a thread. If you are referencing a tweet, a video, an article, or some other existing content, embed it or at least link to it in your post.

Sometimes players get bored on the sidelines. They come up with inventive ways to keep themselves entertained.

What is a successful season for the 2020 Bills?
MJS replied to BITE ME's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This is where I was before the season and still where I'm at. But even if we somehow don't win the division and still get a playoff win (or especially two) I'd feel like the Bills were moving in the right direction. But I feel like the Bills could go all the way if things fall in their favor in the playoffs. I don't think the Bills are the best team in the AFC. but the best teams don't always go to the Superbowl. I have felt like the Saints have been one of the best teams, if not THE best team, in the NFC for a few years now and they can't seem to make it to the Superbowl. Being the best doesn't always get you there. -

Milano and Dodson designated to return from IR
MJS replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I see Klein in more of the Lorenzo Alexander role. There was room for both of them on the field when he was here. Klein can be a situational pass rusher and run stuffer. Milano's coverage ability is really key though. -

But they don't have their starting QB. That's the difference.
