Seems like they have been under pressure to give him higher scores if week 3 was better than week 2. Allen should definately have had a higher grade in week 2. I thought Allen regressed a bit week 3, although he turned it around and still had an excellent game. I don't see how they can rate week 3 higher than week 2.

If we are relying on a slot corner to be a significant part of our run defense, we have problems. Corners can help out, but their primary job is coverage. The run defense needs to come from the dline and linebackers.

Always pressuring, never sacking. Yeah, he does get held an awful lot. -
Bellichick give Bills some help in scheming against Raiders

Problem is, the Raiders know that now. If they don't adjust they are idiots. -
I don't think a point system is needed. I'm fine leaving it up to the discretion of the moderators. If you want a point system I think it should be a "three strikes and you're out" kind of thing, with a timeframe (perhaps adjustable according to the specific offense) that those points can expire. Perhaps semiannually. If you get your third strike you are prevented from posting for a month. If that happens three times to you, you get a permanent ban. Edit: Off topic, but I would totally be all for not allowing members to make new threads until they reach a certain reputation level.

Fitzpatrick says his favorite NFL city is ... Buffalo

You want Allen to get injured!? Or start sucking!? Would Daboll really take that job? I'm assuming he will get more than one interested team and I doubt he would want to face his old team twice a year. -
Seahawks have a pretty bad defense. But of course, the Bills defense hasn't been very good either.

Doesn't he have 12 total TD's? -
All the Josh MVP will be over soon so enjoy it now

I don't feel like there are usually a ton of games where the weather is a huge factor, even in Buffalo. You may get a game or two each year. -
Nope. Not doing it. Bad joke.

Allen is by far the most important component to the offense. As long as he sticks around we should be fine. I don't think McDermott will allow an OC to come in and change things significantly.

Should have been illegal contact. The only legitimate gripe is that the officials usually don't call things like that late in the ball game. They usually let them play unless it is super egregious. To me they should be calling things consistently no matter what the down and distance is, or what point of the game it is. But that's just me. It wasn't catchable because the timing was thrown off due to the illegal contact past 5 yards of the line of scrimmage. But we shouldn't be surprised that Woods is going to back up his own team.

ESPN's Dan Orlovsky Making Case for Allen MVP

He has been coming on One Bills Live for a couple years now and has been giving Allen props when deserved. Seems like he just calls it like he sees it, which is refreshing. A lot of us were fooled before Josh Allen was drafted. -
Yeah. I mean the fake INT was a huge momentum swing and I don't fault defense for being on their heels after that. But at some point they needed to right the ship and they didn't. They continued sinking. I think the mentality needs to shift from "let's ride this out and get the win" to "this is my chance to get an INT or a sack/fumble and pad my stats". A lot of good defenses keep playing hard because they know the offense is going to take risks to get back into the game and the opportunity for turnovers and big plays increases. And that's what defenders live for. So they may need a "play fearless" pep talk from McDermott just like Allen needed last year. Particularly Edmunds who seems to overthink things. And maybe Frazier needs half a game of McDermott calling the plays again to light a fire under him too.

Name your 3 most pleasant surprises and 3 biggest disappointments
MJS replied to GreggTX's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Surprises: - Josh Allen consistently completing 70% of his passes. I expected him to get up to around 60 to 65% - Daboll calling great games and leading a great passing attack. - Gabriel Davis contributing as a 4th round rookie. Disappointments: - 3rd quarter lapses in execution / coaching adjustments. - Terribly called games by the refs. - The Dolphins are actually pretty good. -
Cody Ford at LG; Quinton Spain benched

When is Feliciano due to return? Any injury and rehab updates? You're off to a rough start. -
It can't be a classic for me because of the horrible officiating. It still makes me angry. I agree. I also thought about this. Hopefully this shows the players and coaches that the best coarse of action is to stay aggressive and continue to stomp on the necks of their opponents. I think execution by the players has been the issue. They need to find a way to keep up the intensity.

He was also outside the pocket and likely deemed a runner by that point, so not afforded the normal QB protections, so an incidental shot to the head is not a penalty necessarily. But he did take some shots on other plays that warranted penalties. I fear Josh is starting to get the Cam Newton treatment from the refs.

Totally. It's like a new defensive line. But I am concerned we don't have a true 1 tech that can eat up blockers. They are all kind of small on the inside. Harrison Phillips isn't as good as I thought he'd be coming back. Maybe he needs more time, but frankly the entire dline probably needs more time.
