Josh Allen now 60% CAREER completion percentage.
MJS replied to BidsJr's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Not to mention 600 yards! -
I'm sure the brace was part of it, but they also had two bad weather games, and they also played two of the best teams in the NFL during that stretch. I do not think it is accurate to pin everything on Josh's shoulder. There were a couple of INT's he threw that were clearly a result of decision making, not innaccuracy.

Probably playing with toys. I was 4.

Another tough opponent. Could go either way. But I expect the Bills to go win it. But seriously, people, if we lose can we not go back to the "fire McDermott" and "Josh Allen sucks" talk? The Cards are a good team. Sometimes good teams are going to beat us. It doesn't mean our team sucks or our coach is horrible. Losses happen. Let's just hope that this was the beginning of a turning point for our defense (crossing my fingers Tre doesn't miss time with that ankle). If the defense can get back on track, that would be amazing. We could have a dominant defense AND offense. How sweet would it be to head into the playoffs with both sides of the ball clicking?

Maybe we can say the Bills are better because they already beat the Dolphins. But that would be ridiculous, right?

Looking at the remaining schedule I see 12-4 at worst

Yep. Win big and it's Superbowl talk. Lose, or even don't win "good" enough and we need to fire everyone and start over.- 26 replies

Looked like an ankle sprain to me. He was walking around afterward.
-
Because the Dolphins are good this year. Duh.
-
Not really. Falcons win McDermott's first year. Vikings win Allen's first season. Dallas and Stealers wins last year. Dolphins, Rams, Raiders, and now Seattle wins this year.
-
We've actually been blitzing a lot all year. At least that's what it has seemed to me.
-
They'll take a break for a few days to dry their tears.
-
Nope. McDermott has plenty of quality wins.
-
Can't wait to go back and watch it. I was only able to watch the 1st and 4th quarters. Good to see Klein making some good plays. I guess the trick is keeping him out of coverage.

When McDermott talks about games, does he sound passive?
MJS replied to Billsfan1972's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It has come to this? Attacking the coach for his press conference coach speak? What they say to the media has nothing to do with how they play on game day. And do you approve of the Seattle coach's press conferences? Has Pete Carroll removed all passive speech from his answers? And the Patriots have been struggling. I bet it's because Bill Belichick has dropped the ball on his media responsibilities. He needs to change his tone. -
I know a few posters who haven't lost any confidence. They've been at 0% all year and keep going strong.

The much maligned deterioration of the passing game...
MJS replied to Hebert19's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Top QB's have bad games too. Russell Wilson threw 3 INT's in a game this year. -
Brady wasn't Brady yet. And Brady today would never take a hit like that, or even attempt a run like that.
-
Nobody. If he is running the ball he isn't throwing it. Let him get some runs. Cover the pass. Prevent the big plays. He'll eventually get frustrated and try forcing some throws. Send some well timed blitzes.
-
Hmm, I don't know. He didn't lead with his helmet. The runner wasn't defenseless. The most you might get is an unnecessary roughness penalty. But I don't know. I think that hit is within the rules.
-
But they haven't contained the QB super well. They'll get pressure but allow a lane for the QB to escape the pocket and make a throw on the run, or pick up yards with their feet. I'd actually like to see them stay in their rushing lanes better and contain the QB and running backs even if that means less pressure.

That's not true. There are many ways to win a game. It is a week to week league. It is entirely possible that our offense explodes and we still lose, or for it to be a defensive slug fest. Just have to wait and see how the game goes. And it certainly is not fair to erase half of the good games and only focus on the worst games when evaluating any player, especially a QB. Especially when you consider the caliber of opponents and the bad weather.
