He'll turn into a preseason favorite and everyone will be clamoring for him to make the 53, only to be disappointed when he is cut and is never heard from again.
It's the same principle as getting a 1st round bye in the playoffs. The later in the season, the more extra rest is valuable. But rest isn't suddenly going to make your team more talented or anything.
True. But the Bills have had very favorable schedules the past couple of years with rest advantages, so we are probably due for some of those disadvantages.
I think it is worth pointing out that everything about the schedule is predetermined based on record and rotation, so we know opponents and home vs away as soon as the season ends. The only thing we don't know is the order of the games until schedule release day.
I don't think they'll beat Cincy or Miami. I don't think they have a big leg up on many of those other teams. That is the best possible scenario for them, but they will lose more games than that for sure.
I don't like starting the season against Baltimore, especially since we have those defensive players suspended. They would have helped, I think. Oh well.
And facing Cincy so late means they'll be playing well by then.
