I'd you haven't noticed, our team is pretty good.

OBJ just isn't as good as we thought he was.

A Few Thoughts about the Dolphins Game (Part II), in no particular order
MJS replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall
Allen was fired up this game and I feel like there is some bad blood forming between these two teams, but after the game he was all smiles and hugged it out with the Dolphins, including Wilkins. Personally, I like seeing the fire, and if you are going to taunt, that's the time you do it because it really doesn't hurt the team much at that point. I'm ready to put Hyde out there to receive punts and kicks. I'd rather have a sure-handed receiver with no return than a dynamic returner with muff issues. -
The Bills scare me sometimes when they aren't performing how I know they can, but I can't think of any other team that strikes fear in me. They can all be beaten.

Exactly. The dumbest "stat" in the history of sports. Turnover worthy plays. Soon they'll introduce a stat for "intended TD passes" or "possible sacks if your offensive line blinked out of existence after 2.5 seconds on a play". "Smart" people trying to show the world how smart they are by creating stupid numbers that don't mean anything. Want someone to believe your opinion? Give your opinion a number and call it a fact.

Aaron Donald or an elite OG.

Someone needs to address the Jerry Hughes blackball issue.
MJS replied to LABILLBACKER's topic in The Stadium Wall
When was the last time he had a Bruce Smith caliber game? Hughes is a good player. But he is nowhere close to the elite echelon of pass rushers. Those guys finish. Hughes does not. He gets some pressures, but he does not get enough impact plays and he hasn't for years. I'll be very disappointed if we resign him, not because I think he is a bad player or anything, but because I want to give the young guys a shot to develop and see if they can become guys who make the impact plays and can do more than just pressure. -
Bills Classless Again [Edit: FinHeaven message board]
MJS replied to Process's topic in The Stadium Wall
Good to practice a play in live action that you don't get to practice much. But I think they went for two because Miami did earlier. I don't really like that mentality. Just do what's best for your team on each play regardless of what happened earlier. And you don't want to risk a starter on offense getting hurt. If Allen got hurt on that 2 point play, that would have been horrible. But I don't think anything classless happened. Honestly, teams should be scoring as much as possible because margin of victory is one of the playoff seeding tie breakers. You have to balance that with injury risk and closing out games, though. -
10/28 Thursday Night Football: Packers (6-1) at Cardinals (7-0)
MJS replied to Hapless Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall
Murray just throws up prayers all the time. I'm surprised he doesn't have more interceptions. -
Was he playing well before the injury? I hadn't heard much about him this season until this.

Bills - 28 Dolphins - 16 The Bills offense comes out strong then coasts in the 2nd half. The Bills defense is dominant again, but allows a garbage time TD to make it look closer than it was.

They had a pretty tough schedule last year and were able to deal with it. I think this team is pretty well battle tested by now. They've had multiple run-ins with fellow AFC powerhouses. They came just short of the Superbowl last year.

We did pretty well vs the Ravens in the playoffs last year. There's no reason to believe we can't beat the Browns. But yeah, the Titans are a problem. Potentially. They are hot right now, but they are an inconsistent team. They lost to the Jets.

Do players know immediately if a rookie is good or bad?
MJS replied to Albany,n.y.'s topic in The Stadium Wall
Perhaps, but I'm sure there are countless examples of players and coaches being wrong. -
That dude should have retired by now. Who was paying him money to be on their team? He is completely over the hill.

Current NFC Landscape brings back memories of 80's/90's dominance
MJS replied to FilthyBeast's topic in The Stadium Wall
Hogwash. The AFC has been better for a few years and now maybe the NFC is better this year. It will swing back to the AFC soon enough. The AFC is packed with good, young QB's moreso than the NFC, in my opinion. When Tom Brady retires, the Bucs will disintegrate. When Aaron Rodgers leaves Green Bay (maybe even to an AFC team), Green Bay won't be relevant for awhile. The landscape is constantly changing in the NFL. -
Can't expect Saleh to come in and fix the dumpster fire that is the Jets in less than a season. Give him a couple years. We all knew the Jets would be bad this year. I'm sure Saleh knew they would be bad too.

For me it isn't an argument that Allen is better than Mahomes. To me it's clear. Mahomes has had the greatest start to his career probably of all time. Dan Marino is in that conversation too. As of right now, Mahomes is the top QB in the league. What he has done is amazing. But he was also put onto a team with talent ready to win right away, with a great coach. The Bills were largely devoid of talent, especially the skill positions. So when would Mahomes have won a Superbowl with the Bills? Not last year. Mahomes got beat by the Bucs and Tom Brady. There's no reason to believe that he would have done better with the Bills in that game. 2019, maybe? But the Bills had only John Brown and Cole Beasley to throw to. Maybe he could have gotten it done, but the rest of the team wasn't ready to win a Superbowl, in my opinion. Mahomes would have gone nowhere in 2018 with the garbage talent the Bills had. Also, I just like Josh Allen and Tre White and think the fit the team and the fan base really well. So no, I wouldn't trade them and I doubt that Mahomes would have won a Superbowl with the Bills by now.
