  1. The current rules on offensive PI are fine... they just need to call it! So many receivers push off, even some (most) of the star WRs around the league. They got good at it too... extending their arm about 80% right before the ball comes, but not 100%, so the zebras let it go, but it's a major advantage.
  2. Run the ball. Period. It actually reminded me of the Bills/Dallas MNF with dumb*ss Jauron (and co.) having Trent Edwards throw a flat pass at the 8 yard line (pick six), when a FG would have ice'd the game. We went on to lose that one too. Throwing the ball in OBVIOUS running situations is just asking for trouble. Why do it?
  3. He's probably (rightfully) pissed they didn't give him the ball up to 4 straight plays at the 1 yard line. He knows he would have got 1 yard and a TD. Dumbest play calling of the year. Don't tell me it's TT's fault. RD shouldn't have called an RPO. Just a straight dive play right up the gut. No decision needed by TT at that spot.
  4. Run up the gut 4 straight plays. If you don't get 1 yard, you don't deserve the points. No one was even lined up over the center. I think TT could have just snuck it in anyway. PLUS, if you don't get it on 1st or 2nd, you're burning more clock and/or Jax uses their timeouts. Save the pass plays MAYBE for 3rd and 4th down - but run on 1st and 2nd for sure.
  5. Important to realize that Tyrod helps mask some of the problems on the OL. He often escapes where most other QBs would get sacked or rush throws (ala Peterman's horrendous half). You could draft the #1 QB, but without a solid OL, they'll be toast too. The big uglies is where it needs to start. Hoping for a couple big monsters to solidify that group. OT, OG, and may even need a center (Wood is adequate for now, but likely not for long).
  6. Sit tight. Take a QB if one of the right ones fall to first pick (I also love Rudolph - he'd likely be there). Bills need top-3 round quality for new: OT, DT(s), LB, DE, CB (if lose EJ). Later rounds: more OL help, RB, other flyers.
  7. After QB, we need 1st/2nd round OL talent, then D-Line/LBs. This is the year to draft by position need (vs strictly best talent on board regardless of position). QB, OT, LB, OG, DT(s), DB depth, late-round flyers. Gonna have to address CBs, RBs, WRs, TEs in ways other than the draft (retain current guys or FA).
  8. Just don't let Brady, Lewis, Burkhead, White, Cooks, Gronk, Amendola, or Dorsett beat you. Take them away and what are they gonna do? Easy...
  9. 2 Special Teams TDs: KO return, blocked punt for TD, or punt return for TD (haven't had one of these all year). 14 quick and easy points that don't rely on our offense. (okay, I'd take just 1 of these)
  10. Hey, my very first post. Glad to be here. Been reading all your posts for the last couple years. Thanks for all the laughs and insights. I feel very strongly about next year's draft so wanted to jump in. To me, it is, and always has been about the OL. The Bills have just patched up the line for the last 18 years, always with 1, 2, 3 weak links. It's time to get some real monsters we can rely on for 10 years. I don't care who you have at QB... without a line it, it falls apart. With a line, you can do so many more things. I would use the first two picks (or at least 2 or the first 3) on the best OTs in the draft. If the "value equation" calculator says we're reaching 9 spots down or whatever, who cares. So we get two bonafide day 1 starters at both OT, then move Dawkins/Glenn to OG (they've both played there before). Wood and Richie stay. And we'd also have Groy waiting in the wings. One of the top-3 picks on a QB. Then DT, LB, another DT, another LB, RB, CB. I think we're actually OK at TE and WR now, and the DBs look pretty good. So our 10 picks would be: 1) OT (or QB) 2) OT (or QB) 3) OT (if QB 1 or 2) 4) DT 5) LB 6) DT 7) LB 8) RB 9) CB 10) Flyer...
