  1. Moore may be this years MVS. We kept him around at the start of last season for a few weeks to see if he could shine come real games. He didn't, so we acquired Cooper and cut MVS. I think if Moore makes the initial 53 there's a good shot he doesn't last the whole season unless he steps it up.
  2. I'm hoping White and Buechelle are cut and the Bills scour the wire at cutdown time for a young QB for the practice squad. I would keep Mitch. I actually feel like if he had to start a few games mid season that Brady could craft a gameplan that he could Trubisky could run successfully.
  3. Rumor was the Bills liked him coming out in the draft. If he's cut, it wouldn't shock me to see Beane bring him in. In addition to safety, he can play STs and even has some experience as a KR. If PFF is your thing they actually confirm this. PFF scores from last year: Hamlin: 60.2 Rapp: 59 Duggar: 44.3 Again, that's PFF so take it with the normal grain of salt
  4. This is spot on. People are so obsessed with Hamlin and his play that Rapp gets a pass. But he's just as much a liability as Hamlin is out there as a starter. Another issue is we were spoiled for almost a decade with Poyer/Hyde. Even league average safeties would look terrible to our eyes at this point. And Rapp/Hamlin are below league average which makes it look even worse.
  5. Haven't read every page yet, but here are my thoughts. I thought Hancock had a very solid night. I'd love to see him get some reps with the first team and see how he does. I was hard on Landon Jackson last week, but I will say he did better. He went from stinking out loud to blending in and being largely unnoticeable. I suppose that's progress. I said in the beginning of the off season that Shavers had a real path to the 53 man roster in a Kumerow/Sherfield/Hollins type role. I think he's on that path. In addition to his STs ability, he does something we don't see many others do routinely...he creates space down field, can track the ball and catch it. Some guys I think really hurt themselves. Mike White, IMO, played himself off the roster last night. There are going to be some young QBs on the waiver wire soon. I'd love to see the Bills poach one of them and dump White/Buechelle as the practice squad arm. RVD. I like the kid, and he's a fine replacement level tackle. But, he was passed on the depth chart last year by Grable and I don't see him leaping ahead. He's also got almost zero position flexibility. He's ok at LT, struggles at RT and does not play inside. I really wish there was a way we could keep baby Gore on the 53. Love the way he runs. But Cook and Johnson are locked in and Davis isn't getting cut.
  6. Honestly, last night I thought Hancock looked solid. I would be tempted to see him in there against a first team offense.
  7. Browns signed WR Isaiah Bond to a three-year, $3.018 million contract. Contract is fully guaranteed. Because of course it would be the Browns.
  8. If you notice I used the word "likely". That's a far cry from "Instantly calling him an NFL Head Coach". Read up on the guy and get some varying opinions. My opinion is far from the only one that thinks he's on a fast track to leading his own team. Yes his career could go in any of a thousand directions. But a smart guy with an offensive side of the ball mindset and with he connections he has made over the years gives him a solid leg up on many prospective coaches.
  9. Yeah, Webb is likely a future HC in the NFL. Well liked and has a ton of connections from his playing time. Always liked him.
  10. Almost time for the MITCH TRUBISKY REVENGE GAME!!!
  11. Damn he had Shavers. Overthrows him. Shavers can get separation tho.
  12. Gonna be some young QBs on the cut list soon. Hoping we drop Beuchelle and White and go get a young guy to stick on the PS and develop.
  13. Bagent is a solid backup. He could start for the Saints or Browns
  14. Trubisky is gonna carve up the Bears 3rd/4th stringers in the second half. This game is far from over...
  15. Yes, the defense is playing vanilla. That's not the issue, though. Too many players are not where they are supposed to be. Losing contain. Mental errors. Lots of guys having a rough night
  16. He should be soaking up the snaps. Him and the other PED guy. If they get banged up they alr have 6 free weeks to heal. Mitch Trubisky revenge game. He's gonna light it up. You need an excuse? Amateur.....
  17. So in addition to a likely high draft pick, the Bengals are reported to be looking for a player on defense. So it potentially would cost the Bills a pick and a player (that would likely add to the dead cap) in addition to paying Hendrickson a huge raise. For a player now on the wrong side of 30...I would pass.
  18. I don't know about anyone else, but I think this Allen kid might make the team.
  19. Teams have been doing more joint practices with other teams in the last few years and pulling back starters in the actual games. Allen has had live reps against the Bears for the last few days. Playing a series or two tonight wouldn't make much difference.
  20. In a major twist, he will play but it will be at FS.
  21. I think the extra money is from paying for the rights to Mr. Brightside, throwing Josh one HECK of a bachelor party and buying Dalton Kincaid some extra Big Macs to put on some weight.
  22. Just hand us the trophy now.
  23. Well I'm certainly glad to hear Ed will eat. He definitely would not have the energy to produce on the field if he went on a hunger strike. At least he won't slim down like Kincaid. This is fantastic news!
