  1. Where the hell is Star? It’s just been Harry out there from what I’ve seen.
  2. 👋🏼 Late diagnosis about five years ago.
  3. But for those who still want to hear the sounds of the game / crowd? The ESPN app had a feed of Wimbledon matches several years ago where there were no commentators. Just the little score ticker and relevant graphics that came up. It was wonderful not having someone all up in your ear and trying to control your thoughts. It was like you were just another spectator at a match and just watch it in peace. Would that they could enable that for sports broadcasts. The Next-Gen-TV / ATSC 3.0 for over the air broadcasting has a number of features including for audio. Wonder if that could be an option.
  4. Terrible call on the block of Kearse. That was absolutely a clean block. Blindside block like Ford in the Houston playoff game. Hate this league’s acceptance of 💩 reffing.
  5. Wow, this gentleman is walking the walk! Truly inspirational in these times. 💛 Wonder if Lamont is a Bills fan….
  6. The dream would be to get the Davis kid from Georgia to pair with Ed at the other DT spot. He’ll likely be long gone by the time we pick, tho. No slight to Harry, but that’s a big step down from Star, who is a step down from elite himself. We should be preparing for an overhaul of the interior DL in the off-season, jetting Butler and possibly Addison.
  7. In the immortal words of the fixer Wolf in Pulp Fiction, let’s not go sucking each other’s 🍆s just yet. Need to see if he can do this consistently and against good / better Ds.
  8. His right hand was so swollen during the post-game interview / turkey leg 🍗 chow-down (would’ve been appropriate for Ed Oliver to have been included in that. Dude made plays without much help / with backups along the rest of the line). Literally DOUBLE the size of his left hand still from the surgery a few weeks ago. Dude is a baller, just runs through people, and it seems like the TE University thing helped his game. Very important outlet for Josh and his blocking has gotten better too. Would be very nice to have true, complete, dangerous TE rather than the 30 year string of guys who can really only do one or the other.
  9. The play was inside the 5, iirc. I’d love to see the replay again but yes, as I recall they had the blue and yellow LOS and first down lines superimposed. Morse and Dawkins were just a bit behind Ike, and Ike was just past the LOS. Like a yard. And it’s not like he was doibb no g anything. They were all just ambling around looking over at the other side of field where the play was happening for the last five seconds. They were totally out of the play. It may have been the letter of the rule but it definitely wasn’t the spirit of the rule. IMO, the refs didn’t like the degree of brokenness of the play and just decided to throw a flag. It is after all the No Fun League.
  10. But… by one yard? It mandates that if your team does end up passing, the OL has to allow itself to be pushed back. And yes, in these days of the RPO it’s like… 💁🏻‍♂️. Downfield, OK. One yard past the LOS, tho?
  11. Use your helmet as a missile into a guy’s knee, you deserve a concussion, Adebo.
  12. Asked this in the GDT, but the fast-moving nature of that thread isn’t for something like this: Am I the only one who doesn’t get what the point of the ineligible man downfield penalty is? I mean… I understand what the engineering of it is — no lineman past the los on a pass play unless engaged — but I just don’t understand why it’s such a problem deserving of a penalty. What is its advantage? Boettger was one yard past the line of scrimmage on the called-back TD to Knox, on the opposite side of the field.

  14. Honestly, I think delivering several big bags of cash 💰 to the ref’s union office might help. Like… seriously.
  15. Have a Facebook friend from the Lyme disease community whose son was signed by Elon U and is getting some minutes as a C/F frosh. So I’ll root for him… unless they play UConn.
  16. Somebody needs to wear a pearl necklace on the field?
  17. Not understanding why Sanders is Josh’s first and second look any time he’s on the field.
  18. If this game isn’t enough to convince TPTB to put a retractable roof over the new place…. This is all kinds of sloppy, for the third time this year and we haven’t even hit the cold yet. As the effects of climate change hit harder over the life of the next stadium, we’re going to have this even more.
  19. Spin Doctors and Soul Asylum at Riverside / what is now 6Flags New England in the early-mid-90s. Pocketful of Kryptonite still holds own in rock albums.
  20. Well, this is the way to jinx a guy. It’s like every time an announcer states how such and such kicker has made all of his attempts from whatever distance range, the dude misses. This thread is like being in the dugout and mentioning that a guy has a no-hitter in the 8th inning. You just don’t do it!
  21. The quality of officiating has dropped precipitously, such that they are acting on instructions from the league to make games closer and the same old Most-Favored-Teams & Most Favored Players… or something is doing with betting. It’s been bad before but not to this level. I had four games on screens this weekend and it was like every play, three games had a flag. The fields are being carpeted yellow. And it’s becoming unwatchable like this.
