  1. I mean… why is everything so shifted down? A wordmark should be on the chest - pectoral area, not the stomach. Forces the numbers down to the gut regions.
  2. Well that’s a blast from the past. Was NG’s “What’s Everyone Doing Today?” one of the first incidences of the pixyland guy? I’m just assuming from the You Bastard nm replies….
  3. Imagine where the Bills would be if Beane had been able to swing the Avon Miller trade, instead of the Rams.
  4. Well, Super Bowl Sunday is statistically the day with the highest incidence of domestic violence….
  5. I dunno. A lot of people say it was great. My unpopular opinion… it ushered in an age of pop singing where many stylists emulate this kind of what I call Elmer-Fudd-sitting-on-a-blender vocalizing. Or like a record skipping on the same note for 30 seconds at a time. It has been said that if the Anthem takes longer than 45 seconds, the singer is making it about themselves and not about the song & Key’s lyrics.
  6. Hey, it’d be pretty cool to have a fellow Husky. But I dunno anything about him. The real test of a GM & scouts is to find guys in smaller programs others might overlook. We’ll see how his combine and/or pro days go. UConn football is not exactly a prominent program… although there are signs of life as Jim Mora was hired as coach a few months ago. Nice facility on campus, decent stadium down the highway a bit, but thing just haven’t fallen into place since the death of the Big East and not getting into the ACC because of Boston College.
  7. White pinstriping around the numbers and helmet logo… but not on the center stripe. The matte finish is turrible. Huge chest wordmark, and on the maroon jersey, they actually outline it with an additional stripe on top and bottom. BFBS - Black for black’s sake. On edit: And no stripes on the pants, just pajamas. It hits so many of the trash design elements. 🤦🏻‍♂️. I can’t see many fans actually buying this dreck. They’ll just wear the previous old ones.
  8. Same experience with sweet tea at a ribs place in NC. Like… I could feel all my teeth roots jittering in one instant.
  9. It’s just going to take some getting used to. At least it’s not as clunky as WFT. 🤷🏻‍♂️. There have been what look to be reliable leaks on the uni design, at least for a black jersey and possibly a black helmet. As we say in the Uni Watch FB groups, it’s “Black for black’s sake” = BFBS. I just don’t understand this fad and why it’s persisted among teams that do not have black among their team colors. Sigh.
  10. Yeah, it truly seemed like we could’ve blitzed all 11 and KC’s Oline would’ve held up for 5 seconds and Mahomes stepping around would’ve bought him another 5. People talk about pressure like it means anything in the NFL / against the elite QBs. Pressure doesn’t mean poop. Against any good team or any good QB, we never get home. Hughes is always this ][ close to getting a sack but can’t seal the deal. Wouldn’t shed any tears if Star were released and we draft a big DT early. Georgia’s Davis is likely gone by our slot but, damn that kid can do it all.
  11. This from the Uni Watch (previously a feature on SI & ESPN) FB page. Looks like someone got an aerial or drone view inside the FedEx Field rooms. So… it’s Commanders.
  12. The former Mrs. Butterworth’s ain’t maple syrup… it’s corn syrup. Indians became the Guardians shortly after this last MLB season ended. And their logo is absolutely terrible.
  13. How terrible was that series? Jimmy G just 💩ed on the field.
  14. They do that to limit the game time. It became clear that a single-possession and FG to win was really unfair (given how rules changes have favored offense), so we got this next step of each team gets a possession unless a TD is scored. In a better world, we might get something more fair than a coin flip determining the game, at least for the playoffs. But that’s applicable for games with two elite / unstoppable offenses. It sucks we lost without a shot on O in OT, but I just don’t think it’s enough to change the rule. There were a couple-few ties in the regular season with 10 minutes for someone to score… if you wanna win, you gotta be able to stop the other team.
  15. SF #94 treated that guy like a freakin’ rag doll. That’s likely the death knell to his NFL career. SF #94 treated that guy like a freakin’ rag doll. That’s likely the death knell to his NFL career.
  16. Apparently CBS newsman Jeff Glor was wearing a pair of Zubaz pants this week, under his anchor desk. He showed them off to his fellow morning news crew in a viral video.
  17. I’ve never seen Josh sell fakes like he did last week, specifically the one noted in OP’s point 1. That and smoothing out his meshpoint motion was something I was hoping he would work on over the off-season with Palmer. For the whole of the regular season, it didn’t look any better. I guess he saved it for the playoffs and it was masterful. Let’s hope it can be included in his bag o’ tricks with more frequency.
  18. https://heavy.com/sports/buffalo-bills/josh-allen-cold-weather-playoffs/ He needs a pair of my grandma’s knitted wool socks! (Forgive if this is posted within other threads, but a glimpse of the wall didn’t show this.)
  19. It had an interesting premise, with fairly strong leads (Keizer Southerland, Maggie Q, the blonde lady senator whose name I forget now…), and cool sets. The writing and acting was a major off-put for me, though; it was very try-hard and followed a lot of standard political trope that “The West Wing” frankly did much, much, much better. It also cribbed from the Geena Davis-as-the-impromptu-President series. With the Netflix pick-up of the series, all of this just got much worse and it turned into a thing of characters’ interpersonal relationships conjuring all the hot-button issues (with a leftist slant) of the time wrt transgender / gay, fairly stupid and derivative conspiracy that had some interest to it but was dropped cold, addiction, White House kids with the stereotypical problems. It was a lot of recycling of old things and strained to come up with the political intrigue material it wanted to address. If you want to watch a presidential drama, The West Wing is and ever will be the gold standard.
  20. It was difficult to think I could dislike Gronkowski any more, but there he goes and does it. Not one iota of remorse that, hey, my dirty play almost killed a guy. What a piece of actual 💩.
