  1. am I the only one that didn't think there was a practice today...
  2. This is the point I've been making for two days.. Lets move past it people. Everybody gets caught up in the moment/circumstances. Also, if its severe, and buffalo fans have seen some awful things happen at our sports venues, we are the first to fall silent + pray/wish for the best...
  3. To me it's always been a 4 year rebuild. Two years to tear down the roster and fix the salary cap and two years to build up the talent and leadership structure. Right now I think this thing is running on schedule in year 3. I think we are all kind of expecting 8-8 this year, but that isn't what they are building towards... The encouraging thing to me is knowing that Brandon Beane is starting to look at franchise changing trades that will most likely cost us a first round pick. That's a telling sign that they feel that they are getting there.
  4. Barkley should be the Underrated QB. If anything, we as fans overrate Tyree Jackson due to his size and UB background. Barkley just smeared the Jets all over their home field. A awesome day in a season that had very few of them...
  5. Definitely need an entrance song (are they still playing Bring Em out By TI?) No Shout song after field goals.
  6. It's still my feeling that his is the 3rd year of a four year plan. Two years of a tear down and two years to rebuild. Giving up a first will not happen until we are into the last phase of year 4.
  7. Take a look: You have Edmunds, who is coming off a nice rookie year. Past that, we have Milano, who we can only hope is back to normal after a freak broken bone last season. Alexander is 35 and coming off a great year, but is only on a one year deal. After those 3 we have a bunch of no names that I don't want on the field if we have an injury to one of our starting 3. If we're thinking long term then we definitely need to address LB in the draft. Can't wait for Thursday.
  8. Personally I think it's time for Murph to move on. Might just be me but I'm getting a "too big for his britches" feeling from listening to him lately... Maybe I'm just getting old
  9. Surprised at the responses that want Miami at home week 1. Its so much more satisfying when we beat them here in the cold.
  10. no, man. The team are the only ones allowed to be embarrassed. I'm perfectly happy with everything in my life and that includes rooting for a perennial loser to get better. If somebody has problem with that they have a bigger problem...
  11. I support this so long as "IZABELLA" by Phish gets played every time he scores. Edit: Yes, this is a Hendrix song but the Phish version would be fun...
  12. That's a best case scenario. If we go 8-8 or 9-7 and miss the playoffs I'm OK. That being said, 2020 would be a make or break year then. Honestly I'm not in love with this year's free agent class. I don't see a lot of game changers out there. If we defer the money to 2020 I'm fine with it.
  13. Sat next to a couple of Miami fans today and had a great conversation with them. They said that the fan base is done with Tannehill but aren't ready to show Gase the door. When I asked why and that Gase was brought in specifically for Tannehill, they shrugged and said "that's what you get for drafting a Wide Receiver to be your QB".
  14. Good year for me. This was the second year of a tear down. The true rebuild starts this March and extends through 2020. I am thrilled with Allen. You can give me all the stats you want but I love the way he is constantly keeping his eyes downfield. He will learn/be coached to check down in the next year as he goes through his first full offseason. Checking down is much more teachable than it is is find receivers breaking open in the intermediate passing zones. The best thing about Jim Kelly was that the guy was gutsy enough to always give you a shot on 3rd and long. Even when backed up in his own end and facing 3rd and 16, you knew he was going to give you a shot at it. That's what Allen brings back to the table and I F'ing love it. Give him a couple guys on the outside and see what he can do. Other than that, Milano, Edmunds and Trey White is a great defensive core to build around. Hopefully Harrison Phillips develops and we continue to draft well. Finally, a great send off for Kyle Williams. As a guy that's been around him on the golf course a few times I couldn't be happier with today. Always nice to go out your way.
  15. **clears throat** STOP MAKING MOCK DRAFTS BEFORE FREE AGENCY!!!! and Fred Jackson was screwed by Doug Whaley... not because he couldn't stay healthy.
  16. I do remember that. Its hard to make that call in the moment. Washington had all the time in the world to decide they were going to do that. Hats off to them for showing respect, but we had a play to run. Trent Edwards may not have even noticed...
  17. Wide eyed optimism... or delusion?? If you are feeling optimistic, I'll give you whatever odds you'd like on us making the playoffs. How's 50-1 on a $20 bet sound?
  18. Correct. This was a two year tear down with a two year rebuild.
  19. I'm sticking with Culture over talent while setting my lineups. F Benjamin 6-0
