  1. You're right, it is up to the coaches to put the players in a position to succeed. But at the end of the day, the players are the ones executing (or not executing) the plays. The PLAYERS are the ones that are jumping offside, false starting, etc. While I believe there's plenty of blame to place on both parties, players and coaches, at the end of the day, the players are the ones on the field.
  2. Can he start this Sunday?
  3. Can you blame him? They made the Bills look like a JV team.
  4. CAN a rookie QB be ruined? Absolutely. But if you ruined yours, you picked the wrong one in the first place. Most coherent post I've seen here in a while.
  5. But I was told on TBD that we needed to fire McDermott and Beane...
  6. Yeah, you know, because Lawson, Clay, and Zay are all here because our current FO brought them here. And 50 million in dead cap space is due to shedding HORRIFIC Doug Whaley contracts. Beane has had exactly ONE draft up to this point, and not even two full offseasons. Back up off the ledge.....
  7. Carolina's defense sucks? They gave up eight points. Eight.
  8. Again, I think they did understand that he wasn't going to have an 80% completion rate. But as I've already posted.... If one guy very obviously outperforms the other in an "open competition", what are you supposed to do.... start the guy who LOST that competition? I'm just saying. Hindsight is always 20/20, look at it through an objective lens, not an emotional one after we got our a$$es spanked.
  9. Again, I agree and I think you're missing the point. Yes, I understand that the preseason doesn't transfer to the regular season. That is painfully obvious. But if you have two guys that are essentially in a competition, and one very obviously and blatantly outperforms the other, are you supposed to start the guy that lost the competition, simply because "preseason doesn't transfer to the regular season"? Is that the coaching decision you'd have made, start the guy who played worse because you have a crystal ball?
  10. AJ got hurt in the second preseason game, and had looked terrible before he got hurt, and he was simply out-performed by Peterman in the other game. Anybody that watched those two games would agree.
  11. Not after watching preseason and watching him pick apart the Carolina defense like he was shooting fish in a barrel... no.
  12. I agree... however I think anyone that watched the preseason would agree that Peterman won the job and looked the best out of the 3 QB's we had. Everything that he had showed us, showed us that he was a halfway competent NFL QB. Now, why that's not transferring to the Regular Season? I have no clue. Something loose upstairs? All I'm saying is, hindsight is always 20/20. Not a single person saw this happening after how good Peterman performed in the preseason. Disclaimer : I am NOT A PETERMAN FAN! I'm just trying to look at it objectively.
  13. Yes, this is somewhat true. However, with limited cap space, and having to use the draft capital to get our QB of the future, what exactly could we have afforded/had the capital to get? And as you said, they had to make a decision. I'm not disagreeing with that. We had a big hole at LB to fill. If we had filled the OL, we'd have lot's of guys here complaining that we didn't draft a LB when we had the chance.
  14. I think you're forgetting the fact that arguably our 2 best OL retired unexpectedly. I don't think it's an "identifying talent" issue, as much as a "talent that's available" issue. I fully expect them to address it next offseason because they'll have what amounts to almost unlimited resources to make it happen.
  15. Seriously. Click on his profile and scroll down. It will show you all of his posts one after the other. I read the first 15 and LITERALLY every single one was "the bills suck the coach sucks the GM sucks." Do you have a wife? Friends? Other human beings that want and choose to be around you and your misery on a daily basis, Yeezus?
  16. This sums it up. For all that the kid has been through, you have to admire how hard he worked. Anybody that watched the preseason knows, he straight up won the job by outperforming the others. This wasn't given to him.
  17. And listening to Beane's interview on OBL yesterday, he mentioned something to this effect. About not having the dead money next year
  18. buffalo chicken dip, wings, plenty of beer, and whatever my fellow-Bills-fan neighbor is making (he has NFL Sunday Ticket ?)
  19. To quote Herman Edwards..... You play to win the game. end of discussion.
  20. Love the kid. Makes you feel better about it if Shady were to go down. If our passing game is as bad as we all expect it to be, we'd wear Shady out without a guy like Murphy
  21. somewhere from 7-9 to 9-7. I don't think this team will be much better than last year.... but I don't buy into the doom and gloom, and I don't think we'll be much worse than last year either.
  22. 21-17 Ravens. I'm usually wrong with these predictions, so here's to hoping that trend continues. ?
  23. Of course. I don't care how bad we are. I'm always excited for Bills football. I don't think that'll change until the day I die.
