Yeah, we got to the playoffs. Was/am I excited about that? Hell yeah. But the fact is, we had the next-to-worst passing attack in the lead. We were fourteen yards away from being the worst. We got to the playoffs on the back of Shady, NOT Tyrod. Did he get us to the playoffs? Yeah, I guess you could say that because he was our quarterback. But if you think he's the main reason we got to the playoffs, and not Shady, and the turnovers created by our defense, then I think you and I were watching different teams last year. Furthermore, we made the playoffs at 9-7 in an incredibly weak AFC and, although the score was close, lost EMBARRASSINGLY to Jacksonville in the WC round. Again, was/am I excited about the playoffs? You bet. The last time we were in the playoffs, I was 10 years old. But if 9-7 in a very weak conference and barely squeaking into the playoffs on a miraculous 4th and whatever play by another team 800 miles away and then getting embarrassed in the playoffs is the goal here.... I'm not sure that's a team that I want to be a fan of. Thankfully, I know that this coaching staff has it's sights set much higher. We almost cannot regress at the QB position. We were fourteen yards from being the absolute worst in the league. So I guess, technically, we could regress those fourteen yards. But that's okay if it's with a rookie, still getting his feet underneath him, as long as there's progress. Insanity is leaving a 3-year starter, who just led your offense to the next-to-last passing attack in the league, in your offense, and expecting something to change.

But this is the perfect example of the national media not having a clue about the Buffalo Bills. They go... "You got rid of Tyrod? His completion percentage and turnover ratio were really high, how are you going to win without him?!?!?!?" When anybody who actually watched this team play a football game last year will tell you that, yeah, he had those stats because he checked it down or didn't even throw the ball.
-
We had the 31st ranked passing attack. I highly doubt we're going to "regress" at that position.

I'm glad CBS sports has a damn editor. First paragraph: "ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. -- The genesis of the Buffalo Bills' potentially epic 2018 draft can be traced back to 51 weeks before they actually selecting quarterback Josh Allenand linebacker Tremaine Edmunds both within the first 16 picks on that hectic Thursday night." Jesus my three-year-old would go.... "daddy that doesn't sound right!"

Keep in mind, the FO four years ago and the FO now have literally nothing to do with one another. -

What Is The Worst Bills Game You've Attended
CLTbills replied to corta765's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I was going to say, that SNF game against the Pats in '07. Randy Moss and his wife are actually customers of mine now and I still tell them how bad he torched us that night. I think he had 4 TDs if I recall in a 56-10 drubbing. -
I used it last year through a young intern that we had here at work. I used her name to sign up. for a hundred bucks, it's a good deal because i can watch from my phone or iPad... and with Apple TV, can still stream it to the TV.

I thought Trent Edwards was our franchise QB of the future.

Which Bills Moments Legitimately Made You Cry?
CLTbills replied to BuffaloRush's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yeah this was me. Didn't cry when it happened, but watching all the videos, especially of the one of Kyle with his boys, crying... that one got me. -

Question about seat views
CLTbills replied to NEBuffaloBillsFan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
not many bad ones in the lower level... I used to be (before I moved to NC) in Section 123, Row 3... It was great, but at times vision issues with a TV camera... about 5 rows up would have fixed that problem. But being so close to the action was awesome... had players jump into the stands after touchdowns many times right in my lap. It's definitely awesome, just had to deal with the camera. If you were standing it wasn't an issue... and at that time, section 123 was pretty rowdy.. there weren't many people sitting. -
NFL's Best Kept Secrets: Jordan Poyer
CLTbills replied to BrotherChazz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I didn't say "I knew it would be a good signing"... I'm just saying I really liked it. He's a good quality player that we got locked up for around 3 mil. a year.... and he has, so far, IMO, outperformed it. I liked that they're going and finding good quality players - and not divas - that they can sign for a decent price instead of just going to make a big splash and sign a couple of big names that cost so much that it's unsustainable. This pretty much sums it up ^^^ -
NFL's Best Kept Secrets: Jordan Poyer

I loved both the Poyer and Micah Hyde signings at the time... and am loving them even more now after the first season! That's how you build a team for long-term success. -
What are YOUR expectations if Allen wins the start?
CLTbills replied to #34fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
first year? 7 wins and I'd be ecstatic. But wins isn't really all. I want to see an actual passing game. A win when we have 75 passing yards doesn't really count. If he's throwing for 300 yds and 3 TDs every week and our Defense loses the game, that doesn't count either. So it's a combo... yes, winning games is what matters... but we all know that there's a lot more that needs to go right than just the play of the Quarterback. If he puts up decent numbers, and LEARNS from his mistakes (that's the key.. he's a rookie, he's GOING to make them.... but does he make them over and over and over, or does he learn?).... then I'm on board. 2-3 Game winning drives would certainly help as well. I want to know if he can come through under pressure, in the clutch. -

What did Fitz say about Whaley at the Roast: Redux

Ohhhhhh my god. That was amazing! Shows what the players really thought about Whaley!!!!! -
Please please please tell me you're trolling here. side note question: I wasn't on this board during the Rex era... Was there the normal debate on this board where half the people like him and the other half don't? Like Tyrod/Whaley? or did everybody just hate Rex's guts as much as I did?

Which Bills Decision Infuriated You?
CLTbills replied to BuffaloRush's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The decision to hire Rex was the thing that infuriated me the most. And it's not close.
