  1. But but but, Star was paid 10 mil per to occupy blockers and collapse the pocket so our DEs and LBs can feast. 10 mil per for that guy! Geez..... Maybe weather was a factor but it didn't seem to bother Bal too much.
  2. No CB should have to hold their man that long. Flacco had 10 seconds to throw that.
  3. Totally agree with this assessment. Hopefully Star comes to play and earns that contract. Hopefully Kyle and Trent are healthy enough to contribute. Hopefully Davis can be the player he used to be and hopefully this D knocks Flacco on his arse. Hopefully....
  4. I think what's being lost in this scheme planning is that opposing defenses will also know that the QB will look to hit quick, short throws because of the lack of protection. CBs will be playing man press coverage and jump routes. Safeties won't play too deep as there is no WR on this team to stretch the field. It's going to be tough sledding if this offense can't go deep from time to time and give NP some breathing room.
  5. This is true. Nobody will know for certain though it seemed they were more concerned about getting Byrd taken care of instead of Levitre. You'd think they would have kept Andy if they were able to get a more team friendly number.
  6. Armchair GMs always look at situations like this with a blank check and no future repercussions. They could afford him, they chose not to. Andy was a very good, not stellar Guard. Never an All Pro or Pro Bowl if I recall correctly. To his credit just like Preston Brown he was dependable and always in the line up. But there was no way the FO was going to give him 8 per year because of his steady play and dependability coming off a knee scope to boot. Weren't they trying to work out a deal with their Pro Bowl/ All Pro Safety at the time? Maybe he should have got the contract the Saints gave up for him? Woof! That was a bullet dodged right there. Hindsight is beautiful...
  7. He was a FA and got a boatload of money from the Titans. Wanted to keep him but it was the right move by management.
  8. Indeed it was. What makes it worse is I'm 52 so I'm old enough to remember 15 round bouts. Well done sir.
  9. Remember in Rocky II when Rocky started the fight right handed fooling Apollo through the first 11 rounds before he went southpaw in the 12th and cleaned Creeds clock when he wasn’t expecting it. Picture The Bills front 7 as Rocky and Flacco and his O line as Creed. Something tells me Frazier and Co. have a few tricks up their sleeve come Sunday. This D is not as bad as they’ve shown this preseason. The Offense is a different subject entirely but I’d like to think Daboll has a plan to keep the chains moving efficiently in hopes of close game.
  10. When you look at the schedule the Bills are really up against it the first month but if there's one game they feel they can pull out you'd have to believe its this one. Ravens are from what is considered an offensive juggernaut and our defense should show better than they have in the preseason. Just hope our O line holds up.
  11. I can see Nate having a modest game in his first opening game start. Game manager type performance. Lets say 21 for 32, 238 yards, 2 TD’s and 1 pick. Come to think, that would be a better thread than what are the chances he throws 5 picks. Guess Peterman’s Stat line this Sunday.
  12. Maybe, but to his credit KB played through injury and may have been productive if Tyrod looked his way every so often. Plus he appears healthy this season and ready to play. As far as Murphy goes, I didn’t like the signing either but if he shows up for the opener with a pair of sacks and plays well I’ll be happy to eat crow.
  13. Hmmmm...... Lets get rid of the chronically injured, the forced to retire and the bat $#iT crazy..... Thats more like it....
  14. I remember him on the Rams when we last played them. I believe he's the same guy. He did pretty well in that game if I remember correctly. Eh, looked it up. He went 3 catches for 50 some odd yards. Shady destroyed them going 18 carries for 150
  15. Not at all. If we get down to our 3rd QB during the season it means we’re on the road to a Top 3 pick. A.J or anyone else for that matter won’t make a difference. We can always pick up EJ or Cardale if it comes down to it.
  16. So-so in coverage but solid tackler, especially one on one.
  17. He’s the only WR left that can get deep now that Coleman’s gone.
  18. Wow, him and Roquan Smith will prove to be quite formidable.
  19. This guy just continues to fall in the right place, right time. For a journeyman with no "wow factor" he's done pretty well for himself. Fitzpatrick apparently has the luck of the Irish..
  20. Juan Castillo!! OOPS, forgot. OK, Ducasse, Newhouse, Taiwan and Holmes...
  21. I understand your mindset and true instilling confidence in your young QB is important but as many have mentioned it's preseason and the kid was laboring. They also know he's not as bad as Sundays game. No LT and no starting RB. The O line was a sieve and Cincy had their ears pinned back knowing the kid is trying to impress. I really think McBean have no intention of starting Josh. A first down there IMO would not have helped his cause, just another set of downs to possibly get hurt. Shortsighted? Maybe, but you gotta protect the investment in a meaningless game.
  22. C'mon dude. If thats a regular season game that's challenged all day. Probably wanted Josh on the sidelines to calm him down and not press.
  23. Perhaps. Maybe some type of new toothpaste with feces removing properties. Lord knows he can use it.
  24. No team will pay that and give him a deal in the Aaron Donald range.
