I am excited to see what they do....it will be hard to put 2 new guys in worse than the 2 they are moving on from at OT

Not just for the Bills....but I've always thought there are strategic times to take some personal foul penalties and enhance your reputation and as a rough bunch of A-holes....if that is the reputatoin you want... For example..... If a player has just caught a pass or had a run that gets you a first and goal from the 2 or whatever....just give them an extra pop or shove or whatever....take that PF penalty....it's already going to be 1st and goal from the 2...it's half the distance to the goal and it's already first down....you lose a yard to get a good shot in. Take one AFTER an extra point...so that the 15 yards are enforced on a kickoff....big deal! or if you want to make it less obvious....team completes pass or runs....it's now first and goal from the 5 or whatever....as a team...have your D line go offside all together...knock the other teams O line on their ass collectively...they were "drawn offside" half the distance to the goal...it's a 2 yard penalty to knock the whole oline completely on their asses.

Couple thoughts on this : 1. Obviously Mahomes is extremely popular in KC. We don't like his brother at all, and we tolerate his wife, becasue she's Pats wife. Pats mom also kind of goes little astray on twitter from time to time (nothing like this though) Pat is not his brother, but his brother does this stupid crap becasue he's pats brother. Pat shouldn't have to, but it's going to fall on him to law down the law here....it's clear Pat fiancially aids his brother, and his brother rewards him by being a jack wagon way too frequently, dragging Pat down into the mud. It doesn't look good for Pats mom, who sometimes can come accross as a bit righteous about her beliefs....to have your kid out here forcably kissing a woman like this. 2. Until this happend...like many..I thought he was gay. I dn't have a prpblem with people having varying sexuality...I don't care if he is or not....just surprised to see that he's at minimum Bi, if not straight. Perhaps my own biases are incorrect, but he alwasy came accross to me as effeminent...and therefore homosexual. 3. Pat needs kick his brother out of his KC home if nothing else...maybe the kid needs to move back to NE Texas with mom and get his crap together. ...I don't care...but we only got enough patience to teal with one loony toon family member...and we are choosing to put with Brittnay 10/10.

The Bills have 3rd best ODDS to win SB next year as it stands. Vegas has looked over your roster, your FA and cap situation and you still have 3rd best odds because you have Josh Allen. Your time could be anytime he's the QB.

Hey! I have some unsolicited thoughts on this! I don't know enough or watch enough Bills D to make any kind of guess on Edmunds. I would say this - While the Bills have not won the SB...you had the 13 second game in a year when you'd have had a very strong chance to win one...and then coming into this year, your team was the favorite and was playing like it until Von got hurt. I think there is a degree of overthinking it since you dind't end up with a title (easy for me to say) I believe Josh Allen is one of the rare few that can thrive with lower cost targets etc. IF it were me running the Bills....I'd try and put money into thing Josh Allen can't improve directly. And of those things, I'd go: 1. The best O line I could put toghether. 2. Interior D line pass rushers 3. Outside pass rushers 4. Corners. 5. Safety 6. Off ball LB. 7. Skill players. (this isn't to say they arne't important. I just wouldn't spend collectivly, all that much. If I had a Justin Jefferson, Jamar Chase, I'd do one big contract..otherwise...no. Allen and a strong line and Allen will lift up what you surround him with) ....and I'd also invest in the best O line I could put toether. Given you've already paid Milano....I'd lean to letting Edmunds go and investing that in something more important. .....again, Idon't know Edmunds value to your system. He is young and I would think his prime years are now...

Here is the thing about big QB contracts. If you are paying a QB one of these very large deals, like the Bills are with Allen, the Chiefs with Mahomes....then the QB MUST be of the caliber that he can play at a high and efficient level with lesser talent, or less star power around, and more MEH/JAG types/Rookies around. Brandt is emboldened here by the idea Matt Stafford just won a title on a team the truly said "F them picks" and got alot of vet talent, kicked alot of that money down the road for CAP ACCOUNTING purposes, and they won. Mahomes, on a large cap hit this past season, and a bunch of rookies, and hodge podge WR corps...won. There are only a very small number of QB's who can take a high pct of the cap at a given time or over a period of time, and take whatever roster you cobble together. Kirk Cousins is a decent QB, but he's paid too much / his pay has to account for too much space on their cap to put an adequate enough roster around him to win a super bowl. (rather, it's improbably they will win one with him, not impossible) Dak Prescott...same problem. Kyler Murray. Same problem. Daniel Jones, Russel Wilson (at this point) Stafford, are QB's all about looking at some big contracts where they might squeeze in a year or maybe 2 of a low cap hit and try and put alot around those guys for a year or maybe 2, and then that's it.... Burrow, and Lamar also about to get huge paydays. When the CAP hits come around, will they be able to put enough together? Maybe. Maybe not. I don't know where the line is...what the pct is, and what the talent level is, where you CAN or you CAN NOT pay X and win with only X amount of talent, but I strongly suspect that line only has few guys above the high pay/high talent threshold and a whole lot under it. Guys above this line: Mahomes Allen MAYBE Burrow.

I don't know where else to post this....but if you guys do a Twobilldrive member mock draft and need someone to participate, I'd love to. Been drafting on a Denver board for KC for 4 years now...would love to do it here too if you guys have one and if you have a spot.

Couple thoughts here. 1st...McDuffie. KC has a type they like to draft at CB, similar to the Bills...longer, taller guys....so again, I can't say who they wanted (they sure looked sad about KC jumping in front for McDuffie in that war room video) ...but KC went outside the mold because they thought highly enough of his skill set to trade up and get him. KC...justified or not, thought they had to get in front of the Bills to do it. 2nd. Just a note on Mahomes scoring high on this test....back when he was doing visits etc...Gruden LOVED Mahomes...but also, pre draft, KC had Mahomes and Watson both in...it leaked out that Watson sucked on the whiteboard and quesitons, while Mahomes shined. Now....clearly you don't have to be a brainiac to be a really good QB becaue pre massage Watson was pretty good...whatever his test scores and whiteboard acumen....but I think we've seen enough of both Mahomes and Allen to see that their QB intelligence shows up on gameday.

KC signed John Ross (9th overall 2017, 1 pick before Mahomes) to a futures contract...so he'll be in camp. People forget, KC signed Justyn Ross as an undrafted FA last year....from Clemson. 6'4. Fast. was a big time prospect. Had alot of 1st round type talk around him before the neck thing, and then foot thing. Had a neck fusion issue, and a foot fracture that needed surgery. Sat on IR all of last season. Now healthy... John Ross is a pure camp invite...let's see if he has anything to offer type camp body...with upside. And Justyn Ross...If he's healthy.....you see what you have...another high ceiling. low risk guy. KC does this alot. Neither one is someone they are counting on in 2023, but this is exactly the kind of thing they do....throw numbers at it, with low risk, high reward guys that don't cost anything. I've seen some reports Michael Thomas is on KC radar if he'll come cheap....and he might...coming off surgery...who knows what he has left....but this kind of thing is what I am surprised more teams don't try. I'd think Thomas would be someone the Bills will kick the tires on if the price is right too.

IF I were running the Bears..I would move on from Fields and draft a QB. But...I think they'll just take picks and keep him. (Mistake)

EB didn't call plays. It's hard to know what he brought to the table, but when you also understand that Nagy and Pederson were OC with Ried in KC, they also didn't call plays and it's not known what they brought to the table too...and they got HC jobs BEFORE KC won any super bowls. It's been all but accepted as fact that EB isn't a good interview. That said, even if he isn't a well spoken guy, surely EB should have gotten a try at HC somewhere just based on Andy's other OC getting shots. I mean...Nate Hackett, whose resume is apparently being Aaron Rodgers pal, got a HC job. Anyhow....in my opinion, EB has been around Ried long enough as both a position coach and OC to know how this all works. I think he'll bring the playbook but I do think you will get a guy who has been trained to know what to look for when breaking down another teams defense and knows what he's looking at when he sees the players on his own roster and he'll know how to use them. I predict, that EB will surprise some people with what he's able to do.

I don't speak for all Chiefs fans..but I've not said anything at all like this as a Chiefs fan.

You are welcome to him. He does not play fast, is NOT an especially good tackler. He's a run of the mill starting caliber S in the NFL. And he hasn't been a ball hawk. He's ALWAYS a step late in coverage playing the over deep.

I agree with what you say here about the Seahawks. They ABSOLUTELY should be in on a QB when they have a shot up so high...but they aren't.

UGH! I forgot CARR! He goes to the Panthers! Frank Reich doesn't like the QB's available to him in the draft.

Here is how I see the QB's landing for 2023 Including DRAFT. It will take all my tea leaf reading powers, but I am up to it. In no particular order, but trying to go with bigger names first and then descending. 1. Lamar Jackson. Will be traded to the Atlanta Falcons. Atlanta is a star driven market. The owner likes stars. Atlanta overperformed expectations in 2022 and they do have some emerging pieces to work with. Atlanta was in on DeShaun Watson to the end. Lamar instantly makes the Falcons the division favorite in a weak NFC South. 2. Aaron Rodgers. Will be traded to the Jets. I think Carr is a better fit, but Rodgers is a GREAT FIT for the NY media. He'll get tons of attention. The Jets will get the spotlight they crave and a QB, who can still pilot a good roster to a wild card. The Jets are desparate for their most recent rebuild to yeild a post season berth and they'll pay to make it happen. 3. Tom Brady. In the broadcast booth with Fox. For real this time. 4. Geno Smith. Resigns in Seattle. Seattle wants him back and Geno doens't have much of a market outside Seattle anyhow. 5. Daniel Jones. Resigns in New York. Talk is he could come in at 35 Mil. Not cheap, but maybe just reasonable enough for what you get. Either way, they aren't in a good spot at this point to move on from him even if they wanted to. 6. Jimmy G. I do not believe there is a strong market for Jimmy G to start elsewhere. I do see him as someone teams would like as a bridge/capable backup. I can see him sitting through training camp, waiting for some team to incur a big injury. Given this, his fit is limited. Tampa, New Orleans and Houston come to mind. I'm going with Houston because they have the cap, and will be breaking in a new QB. Jimmy would start at least for a little bit possibly. 7. Jacoby Brisset. Resigns in Cleveland. Similar to Jimmy G, but not quite as good. Knows the offense. Knows Watson is no.1 but if he completely sucked, or got hurt, Brisset could at least be sort of OK. Brisset has no market as a starter. 8. Baker Mayfield. SAINTS. It's a depleted roster, they are without picks...and without cap space. Baker will come cheap and this is truly his last and best chance to be a starter. 9. Gardner Minshew. Tennessee. Part of this is about marketing, and the Mississippi Mudflap would be a big hit in Nashville. He's great insurance for Tannehill...or even a good bet to supplant Tannehill. Malik Willis isn't ready...and probably never will be. Minshews best shot to start. 10. Drew Lock. PACKERS. The Packers were the team that Denver had to get in front of in 2019 to draft Lock. The Packers really liked him and my guess here is that they still do. No one anywhere thinks Jordan Love is worth a damn. I think Lock is better and could win that job. It's Locks best shot to get his career back on track, with a team that really wants him around. (I hope he's in KC, but this makes more sense for him) 11. Derek Carr (I FORGOT HIM in my initial post!) Panthers. They miss out on trade up for Qb's they like. Sign Carr and further evaluate Matt Corral (drafted in 3rd last year) DRAFTED QBS 1. Bryce Young. COLTS. I think Irsay has mandated that Chris Ballard get to 1 at all costs and they do. 2. C.J. Stroud TEXANS. Kind of like DeShaun Watson without the baggage. 3. Will Levis RAIDERS. McDouche will be abundantly confident he can take Levis with his physical gifts and coach him up. This years Josh Allen. 1st round traits, 5th round game film. 4. Anthony Richardson. RAVENS. Having traded Lamar, they go get rookie contract Lamar all over again with Richardson. 5. Herndon Hooker. SAINTS trade into late round 1 to grab him. 6. Tanner McKee. VIKINGS. Not going round 1 but Minnesota will want to make a stab at preparing to move on from Cousins. 7. SLEEPER PICK. Grayson McCall - PATRIOTS. They take flyers more often than most. They try out McCall, good size and comp %. 8. SLEEPER PICK 2! Clayton Tune - COWBOYS. Jerry has mentioned spending a pick on a QB this draft. Others - Kyle Trask will start for Buccs. They are going to go full on rebuild/Tank. Expect Mike Evans to be traded. They'll take Brady Cap hit and others all this year...look for no.1 overall next season. Jameis Winston - DENVER! Sean Payton brings in a proven veteran. Not to push Wilson, but to be there for injury to give the Broncos a fighting chance to compete. Sean is familiar with Winston and was able to get decent production out of the guy before he got hurt. Mitch Trubisky - Arizona. Purely stopgap to help fill in while Murray is out. Maybe Gannon gets a little something out of him. Matt Ryan - NEW ENGLAND - Goes home to Boston as a backup and mentor to finish up. Marcus Mariotta - SEAHAWKS. Drew Lock moves on...Seattle gets backup that is good at handing off. Washington is going to roll with Sam Howell. Maybe they try and talk Henne out of retirement to help EB impliment the KC offense...but other than that...it's Howell. And Heineke.

Smith 7 overall. Jordan Davis 13th overall. Easier to make those picks...up high. Now...if you want to fault Beane for missing on IOL in round 2....I'll listen to that argument. Jurgens and DIckerson were both highly regarded college Centers who had G experience as well. If you need IOL...round 2 is where you ought to be targeting guys who can help, and not flawed DE's.

Beane is close....in the top 10 without a doubt. I don't quite understand how much some here are discounting that he did take Allen. That has to count for something. I KNOW that Mayfield and Darnold were off the board, but surely all of you remember all the ridicule the Bills got for making that choice. Mina Kimes anyone? Clearly, at LEAST given the choice of Allen, Lamar and "the other Josh" ...they nailed that. It's FAR AND AWAY the most important part of the equation...and then...they developed him right. Credit for that too! Alot of fanbases are convinced that if their team took Allen, they'd have ruined him. ...just go back to 13 seconds....which was an incredible sequence, that was highly improbable. IF you go on to win the Super Bowl....NO ONE one within 500 miles of Niagra falls is making this rediculous case that Beane isn't a good drafter. He's good. He nailed the most important pick and he's been better than leauge average on many others.

Roseman McClay (Dallas) ....look at their drafts...consistantly really good. Jerrah botches vet contracts. Lynch (49ers) drafts well enough to overcome some misses in round 1. Veach (KC) Loomis (NO) Good drafter and talent e v a l guy....reckless contract guy.

Rosemans strategy is a triumph of numbers. He aquires tons of picks and then just drafts and drafts and drafts....banking on the idea that of the players they evaluate, they are going to miss on some, so throwing more crap at the wall means more has a chance to stick. It's why when they miss on a Reager or Dillard, they just keep on going because they've hit on enough of their staggering payload of choices everyyear, that they are fine. AND...more important than all that....they hit on Hurtz in round 2 and have been able to build around him well.....better than most. Roseman is a top 5 elite for sure.

A big reason why Vegas has the Bills as a top 3 Super Bowl favorite again in 2023 is because you've already got a good roster. Sure, you could use improvements in places...every team can. It's possible that the Bills already have a strong enough roster (they do) and you guys simply need to execute in the playoffs. That's it. You are getting to the playoffs....almost certainly winning your division again. Will be vying for the 1 seed again. Going to hit a postseason where you need to beat some combo of Mahomes, Burrow, Herbert, Lawrence, (and then maybe Tua, Lamar, Pickett, Watson) The AFC is gauntlet at playoff time but the Bills are as good or better. You don't have some roster deficiency holding you back.

How is having top ranked O and D units "Bad Results?" Your playoff losses are bad results, but it isn't because you never got to the playoffs. The roster is strong, you win games and division titles. You've run into some tough outs in the playoffs. Bad Results is the Jets. Bad Results is the Arizona Cardinals.

I think Beane is one of the better drafters out there. You aren't going to hit on every pick. Forget individual games for minute....and keep in mind the Bills have put together a roster that has been high end O and D now for a couple years. You need to hit on all facets, Draft, trades, FA, Undrafted FA...but you don't achieve that without having above average draft success. What's interesting....when you go roster by roster, almost every team has around 50-65% of their starters as players they drafted. To be in the top echelon of teams, you have to have drafted well. AND in almost every case, drafted a high end QB as part of that. Given the Bills are consistently a top team with top units....they are drafting better than many give credit for. It's also true, they could have done some things much better on draft day. Overall, though, Beane is doing a good job drafting.

Someone mentioned Wylie. I don't thnk KC can afford him. He played the BEST GAME of his career on the SB....great time to do that. Wylie has been with KC for 6 years and he's been a great depth piece. Has started many games at OG and OT because he's versatile. Much better at OG than OT, but he started all 17 games for us at RT this season. Andy Ried leaves his OT on islands A TON. Wylie benefitted by having a mobile, Mahomes back there to avoid alot of sacks. Some team is probably going to overpay and try to put him at RT. Bad idea. He'd be a good starting OG but still going to be overpayed. I don't think if I was a Bills fan, that I'd want to pay starting Dollars to a guy who isn't really starter quality. Next...Personally, I think KC SHOULD move on from Orlando Brown at his asking price. He wants to be paid like Trent Williams...he's not Trent Williams. Brown also played his best game as a Chief...in the Super Bowl (great time to play your best) Brown gets beat aroun the corner too much for my liking, and he's not much of an effort guy once Mahomes gets moving too. That said....Kc won a SB with him starting. he's been healthy, and he's not awful...just not great. The question is the pay. If KC could get that guy to take 18 Million per year insead of 25 or whatever he's going to ultimately ask for...might be worthwhile. KC and National media folks thinking the TAG is coming again...I kind of think KC works out a deal (that I won't like) in order to be cap flexible. Tagging him is possible but that will be something like 19.7 million on the cap. KC can do it....but not ideal. Eitiher way...he'll be a Chief again in 2023. Frank Clark was all but gone last offseason but he worked out an interesting deal where he essentially restructured his deal so he was paid what his dead cap woul have been. Given that it cost the same against the cap at that point, KC kept him. Frank had a decent year and he showed up in the playoffs (Like he somehow always does...dude is 3rd in all time playoff sacks somehow) Clark is going to be released as the cap savings are huge. Perhaps they bring him back on a new deal after he tests FA, but he'll be out there for sure. Bills seem to have a glut of younger cheaper DE's already. Marquez Valdez-Scantling is under contract for 2 more years, and JuJu is a UFA. KC can cut MVS easily. KC could move on from both, or could cut MVS and re-sign JuJu OR could keep MVS and just let JuJu walk....or could resign JuJu and keep MVS also. I do not think KC will have both JuJu and MVS on teh roster together next year regardless.... Interesting conundrum. I do think JuJu is the better player, but he's fragile. MVS is reliably healthy and fast...did have hte one playoff game against cincy where he put up some numbers.... I watched MVS all year and it was clear why the Packers never did much more than just run him deep.....that guy isn't an instintual route runner...doesn't have much of a feel for where to run to to get open...isn't a separator, and isn't a jump ball winner. He's very limited. KC wasn't able to develop him further. To me, he costs to much for what you get. If it were me, I'd cut MVS and let JuJu walk. I believe Kc can replace those guys for less money. Perhaps the Bills find one of them interesting. Mecole Hardman might be someone that makes more sense in Buffalo. He is UFA. Speed for days...you can run sweeps, WR Screens, send him deep on go routes...he's not a great route tree guy, but you can do alot with him. KC has his replacement on the roster in Toney already...he won't be back...he's an effecitve weapon if you can get him at the right price and understand what the expectations are with his skill set. KC has some rotational undersized interior D linemen who are UFA's. Khalen Saunders (who recorded a sack in SB chasing Hurts OOB) is fast, undersized, might be worth a try as a 3-4 DE. Tershawn Wharton. Strictly a one trick pony as an undersized interior pass rush specialist. Derrick Nhadi...the only guy form Veachs 1st draft class....and by far his worst draft class. Nhadi isn't very good. strictly a DT that is supposed to be an anchor and run defender...he gets pushed around easily and I'll be surprised if he makes an NFL roster in 2023 Chris Jones is 29 and under contract for one more year. he'll be looking for an extension. I'm inclined to beleive KC gets something done, but there has been talk KC could offer him up in a trade. People point to when the Patriots traded Richard Seymour to the Raiders for a 1. That was a good move by the Pats, but KC does NOT have any depth at all at DT, has nothing coming up even close that could replace him...and unlike the O...there is no Mahomes on D that makes everyone else better. I think they'll spend some money on a 3 year extension and get some cap relief...BUT....it's not a given they wouldn't get a trade offer that blows them away and they take it. I just don't see it though. Still under contract in 2023 Willie Gay and La Jarious Sneed, but due for extensions. Gay took some time to develop, but he's absolutely become what they thought he would when drafted in 2019 round 2. fast, good in coverage etc. Played a strong game in SB...I don't think they'll pay him AND Bolton, and Bolton has 2 more years left...I'd think whatever money they want to spend at LB, will be reserved for Bolton when it's his turn. I do believe they have every intention of extending Sneed. Not much here that can be poached. the core is young and talented...KC has 10 or 11 draft picks (I can't remember exactly) and lots of young talent all over. ...and decent cap situation.
