  1. Allen Iverson, when reached from comment about this, had the following to say: "we talkin bout pratice........squad."
  2. I am/was totally prepared to say that KC would have to win out for the 1 seed UNTIL the Jets switched to Mike White at QB. I'm not saying Mike White is some great QB. But he is a guy who has demonstrated he can play that postion well at times. I had the Bills 100% winning that Jets game if Zach Wilson was the starter. I know you lost to him and the Jets earlier......but I think that's alot like KC losing to the Colts. IT wasn't happening again. White makes me at least pause and think the Jets will be plucky. Either way. KC can win out and not worry with it but that's tough. The Bills are capable of winning out.
  3. Regarding the Colts loss....yes...in the NFL on a given Sunday, anything CAN happen. Since Andy Ried become coach of the Chiefs in 2013- KC has only lost 5 division games. Mahomes since becoming the starting QB, has never lost a road division game. KC has won 13 straight VS Denver. Denver occaisionally puts of a fight VS KC, but more often those games are blowouts in KC's favor.
  4. Best chance at Chiefs loss is @Bengals. Cincy has been sa thorn in KC side recently. Other than that, KC schedule is pretty easy going forward. Some thoughts on that - First whoever said Denver would pose a threat hasn't been paying attention to anything at all going on in Denver. That clown show is the biggest disaster in the NFL this year. KC still has 2 games against them. Sam Darnold COMFORTABLY beat them today. They sucked and had issues with WIlson and Hackett BEFORE now having probalby the most injuries in the NFL now. They are completely done. They are "cooked". Seattle @KC has the feel of a game KC should win handily but Seattle won't roll over. The Raiders game that remains is last game of year. Raiders will long ago elminated and might not have the best lineup on the field etc. Right now KC has no margin because the BIlls are right on their tail but I can see a Mike White led Jets team or the Dolphin perhaps tripping up the Bills. If KC wins next week, the road to the AFC title gets alot closer to running through KC again.
  5. Imagine '91 January 27 When the kick went wide flying past the upright but on the wrong side Imagine all the Bills fans if it went the other way ah...... Imagine Thurmans lost helmet Kellys interceptions too Reed slamming his helmet Winning a SB is hard to do Imagine all the Bills fans if they could get a peice youoooo You may say some are dreamers But they aren't the only ones As long as the Bills have Allen Theres a chance to make a run Imagine Super Bowl 27 Led by 7 then the turnovers began At least a hustling Don Beebe Knocked the ball from Leon Letts hand Imagine all the Bills fans if the Bills could get it done youoooo You may say some are dreamers But they aren't the only ones Some people are just complainers and can't have any fun Imagine leading the super bowl at halftime and being in control but the last 2 quarters the offense lost it's flow Imagine all the Bills fans If they just had one Lombardi? youooooo You may say some are dreamers But they aren't the only ones Someday they'll get there And the fanbase will rejoice as one. (I am stuck at work tonight and trying anything to make this clock tick faster. Saw this post and thought, why not.)
  6. That absolutely was not the same play
  7. I don't know how else to explain this. How do you get lucky the ref threw a flag on an actual penalty? Also...if no flag it just goes to 4th and 4 I think...decent shot Mahomes converts...it might be moot. The call wasnt a game changer.....
  8. I'm not trying to be combative about this particular call...as I've said...I've seen that same thing not get flagged...seems like it varies from Ref to Ref. If you guys want to hold up this parituclar call as being a game changer...probably there are better examples than this. 1. There was holding on the call. The argument you are making is that the same thing wasn't consistantly called or that Kelce was pushing off etc. 2. If no flag comes out, we don't know what happens on the next play, It might be moot. The flag impacted the game, but we can't say at all, if it changed the ultimate outcome. it wasn't that kind of call. 3. The call in and of itself wasn't incorrect.
  9. to be clear we aren't talking about a ghost flag or something...there WAS holding on the play
  10. This is 100 pct true. The level of engagement for games that the Bills aren't even playing in is off the charts here. This place is awesome!
  11. If you they don't throw the flag, what would it have been 4th down? There is a reasonable chance KC converts it anyhow. I wouldn't say it was the be all end all call of calls. John Elway runed my childhood. It's thereputic.
  12. Since you ask, my top priority is actually posting on a Broncos board after a huge win...this is the second thing on my list of post game fun. Also...I've been visiting here a long time and have been involved of plenty of non KC related discussions here.
  13. If you are referring to the holding call...It was holding. I've seen games where some refs let that stuff happen all game, and sometimes they don't. FWIW, the ref that SNF has to refer to on plays like that....he agreed it was the right call.
  14. ...I was also here after you beat us early this year... Nice place you have. It's why I keep coming back.
  15. We don't. We lost to the freaking Colts. I invite you guys to go watch that disaster and talk about KC getting all the calls. Aside from everything else wonky that happend that game, Chris Jones had just sacked Matt Ryan to bring up 4th and 28. Jones said something to hurt Ryans feelings and the ref threw a personal foul flag. Colts went on to score to win the game. In our game against the Raiders...Chris Jones again....was flagge for ROUGHING THE PASSER.....AFTER he had had recoverd a fumble and was the ball carrier being tackled.....by the QB, and because he was a big dude, even thought he had the ball and was no longer a pass rusher, but instead was a ball carrier...was STILL called for roughing the passer on this play. I could go on. All teams suffer from bad calls.
  16. This is legit. KC is getting healthy and right about now is when Ried has it all put together and figured out. KC is going to win out baring an injury to Mahomes....but that said...see below. um. No. The Titans were the 1 seed. They finished 12-5. KC also finsihed 12-5 with a head to head loss to the Titans. the bills were 11-6, and also had a head ot head loss to the Titans. If you flip that titans game around you are the 1 seed. But there wasn't a 3 way ie. LOL. If you want to see what KC is capalbe of crapping away, go watch that Colts Chiefs game. My god. Not as high profile as that Vikings game you just had, but death by 50 mistakes is painful to watch. Not any single one of the 50 was the killer, but all 50 together were. KC is capable of bad games. Of the remaining games, the Bengals game is the one that is most likely to trip KC up. The Chiefs are something like 36-5 in division games since Andy Ried has been in KC. KC is 13-0 in the last 13 VS Denver....something like 14-1 VS the Raiders..and sprinkle in a couple losses to the Chargers (who play us tough) KC could trip up, but they are capable of running the table. Watch Kadarious Toney.....that trade was huge.

  18. I would say that KC opting to trade Hill made sense for KC in that it is allowing us (KC) to get our cap right. I would also say that losing Hill, even as KC and Mahomes lead the league in scoring and all that wihtout him, is still a loss because you guys know as well as anyone, Hill is a rare game changer, a guy that makes great plays in the clutch that so few can. This Toney trade MIGHT be the thing that really tips the scale here. I've seen the guy on the field for the Chiefs now, just two games....and he's one of those guys who you can watch and say "he just looks different". It's plain to see that guy has speed, twitch and underated strength. I don't know what his problem was with the Giants but a 3rd and 6th for this dude, who is cheap and under contract for 2 more season AFTER this one...and then tags if needed....... The Bills should have called Dabol and upped the offer just to block KC from getting this guy. As Toney gets more and more involved, and learns the playbook.... watch out. As far as Hill going in confernece...sure, I'd rather KC didn't send him to an AFC team we could well face in a playoff game, but KC was correct in understanding that they would be fine with Mahomes and whoever else, and Miami was the team offering the goods. (wich KC has already converted into contributing assets as well)
  19. Hoping this isn't anything serious. Hoping for more KC/Buffalo Mahomes/Allen postseason action this year. Also...really enjoy watching Allen and the Bills when I'm not watching the Chiefs. Last....really really hoping this isn't a tommy john situation.
  20. ....and now the door is cracked open....
  21. They don’t own their own 1st round pick. It belongs to Seattle. Ranking doesn’t help them
  22. There were some circumstances around that 2018 draft for Denver you need to understand Denver at that time, and up until just this year, was being run by a trust. They had just come off a losing season under Vance Joseph and Elway the GM, was looking to make a coaching change. he wanted to bring back Mike Shanahan. However, the trust wouldn't allow it, and didn't want to be paying Joseph and others not to be coaching. Elway was kind of painted into the corner of giving Vance Joseph another year, along with an ultimatum to win or be fired. Joseph had already been stuck with Paxton Lynch (I have a very interesting story about the drafting of Lynch that involves the Chiefs, Cowboys, and Roger Goodell...tampering) ...Joseph requested a vet QB and so they signed Keenum. He wasn't "already there". Having signed Keenum, Denver wasn't really in teh QB market....the coach was fighting to keep his job and would not have been interested in taking a QB and would not have been interested in developing that QB...so at 5 they took Chubb. A highly rated, ready to go right now, pass rusher. It may very well have been different if Elway got to hire Shanahan and they would have then been in the QB market and may well have taken Allen, ready to develop him and with the luxury of being a new regime, and expedrience regime...it might have worked out there. As it was, they weren't at point where it would have made sense for them. Imagine what might have happend if Elway went ahead and drafted Allen, gave him to that coach, who got fired anyhow, and then moved on to another coaching staff that had no ties to Allen.
  23. The Bills have a little bit of wiggle room in maintaining the path to the 1 seed. This is a MUST win to maintain what is essentially a 2 game lead for that. Even though it's an 11 point spread, this is VS a QB that on a given day could duel with Allen. It's at home an the Packers are on the ropes. You don't want KC hanging around by cracking that door back open.
  24. As a few have already mentioned - This is more about 2023 than now. As of now, JuJu and Hardman are both free agents. MAYBE KC signs up JuJu...but I dont see him and Hardman...and mabye both aren't back. So that leaves for2023 as of today - MVS Skyy Moore Justyn Ross (remember that guy? major talent from Clemson, but lisfranc foot problems. KC put him on IR for the year to get him back to 100pct for 2023) Toney That's it. IF any of those dudes hit, KC will have cheap, but talented WR group. Maybe it works, maybe not, but the idea here is .....you have Mahomes....he makes cheap WR talent work, so you can spend your money on things Mahomes can't affect....like D-line. Or ...maybe a trade for Tunsil.... For now, Toney could very well be the punt return man...KC has not done well with that.
