  1. They get paid just fine. There is always the other option, come join me in the 9-5 game. Comes with student loan debt (my college degree wasn't free), 2 Chrysler Mini Vans, a decent house in Orleans County NY. It's not a mansion in South Florida or California but I'm still living the dream baby. All jobs get paid according to what the owner of the business is willing to pay. If you don't like it find a new job. Please stand back while I play the world's smallest fiddle for these 20 and 30 something millionaires. They have all the right in the world to protest and complain about it, they also have all the right in the world to be roasted for how tone deaf they come across.
  2. Totally agree. I was 23 when Bucky went on the run. Was in a similar boat, I wasn't actively cheering the guy on but a part of me did want the bad guy to win. As a middle aged guy my tune has completely changed. Probably makes me a hypocrite but mainly just want my kids not to make the same mistake.
  3. I understand why it happens. I mean I grew up thinking Billy the Kid was something to admire. But when you get older it hits you different. These guys aren't anything to be appaulded they are scum bags.
  4. Just wait popular opinion will turn this guy into some kind of anti-hero and people will be literally cheering for him to evade the police as long as he can. That is until he shows up at their back door looking to kill them.
  5. Anyone on here blasting pro-wrestling but rushes out to watch Super Hero Movies may have to take a step back and see the hypocrisy.
  6. Dated a crazy chick for 2 months. Very glad I didn't marry her. Also very glad for the memories.
  7. Thankfully Coaches and GMs are starting to become aware that the game is more about being smart than it is about Oklahoma Drills and bashing one anothers heads in. Gruden still had one foot in the old ways and being an idiot finally got him done in. I think he deserves to be forgiven, what I don't think is anyone should be lining up to feel sorry for the guy.
  8. Something tells me her standards are probably too high.
  9. I'd imagine any real offer for the guy won't happen until a couple days before camp opens. Anyone offering him a contract right now is only betting against themselves. Any report coming out about DHop or Cook being offered contracts by a team or a team having serious interest in them is only nonsense being put out by their agents as a last ditch effort to get them a multi year substantial contract from a GM that gets anxious and overplays his own hand. Any response to said report by the player is done so at the behest of the agent. Keeps their name in the news and on the mind of the anxious GM. Smart GMs won't play that game. The agent is just trying to see if they can bait offers from the Jets, Raiders, Browns, Bears, Commanders, or Texans right now. I am sure that the 1 year incentive laced deal with a contender for DHop will come a few days before camp.
  10. I like to visit the HOF it's a fun vacation spot. That said, the selection committee is bogus. Calvin Johnson was a 1st ballot and Terrell Owens was not, despite having 4,000 more yards and 60 more career touchdowns. Andrew Luck belongs nowhere near the hall of fame.
  11. Excerpt from the Florida Times Union article on Kadarius Toney returning for his senior season at Florida: Toney is back for his senior season after pondering the possibility of leaving early for the NFL. Just like when he creates one of those joystick moments, he followed his instincts to arrive at his decision. “I thought of my education,” he said. “I know a lot of players who leave don’t come back and finish school. My first goal coming to Florida, I wanted to get my college degree.
  12. So with Pete it must be the fame and money then....
  13. My son wanted to go for his birthday dinner. That said, found my way back tonight. Wings are on point everytime Its never a miss. Never undercooked, always painted perfectly. Every boys day at our house ends up at Bar Bill. My wing spot in Orleans County let me down big time a few weeks back for a family party. Ordered 50 wings and threw 49 out. Smelled like straight garbage. They were spoiled.
  14. Parcells' Rules for QB #11: Don't be a celebrity QB – we don't need any of those. We need battlefield commanders that are willing to fight it out, every day, every week and every season and lead their team to win after win after win. Not sure I believe it, just something that popped into my mind when I saw the picture. Gives me a bit of Tony Romo/Jessica Simpson Cabo vibes.
  15. I would hope anyone living in WNY or Canada would know exactly who Big Wreck is. That said, incredibly underrated band.
  16. Joe Dibiase was saying the same stuff on WGR this morning. Saying what Josh said was a bit annoying. But nothing like the hornets nest line. Dumb dumb dumb
  17. This topic seems to come up once a year, always during the offseason. Go back and watch the Wild Card playoff game against Jacksonville, and you will see all you need to know about why Tyrod inst held in higher regard around here. The quarterbacking in that game set passing in the NFL back 50 years. And thats exactly who Tyrod was. Teams who had defensive ends who crashed and didnt contain, coupled with linebackers who were too slow to play sideline to sideline struggled with Tyrod. Teams who played sound defensive figured him out quick. Incredibly limited as a quarterback, couldnt throw the seam, couldnt throw people open, refused to throw the ball unless the wideout had clear separation. The last part was the most frustrating bit about watching the guy. Tyrod was a fantastic leader and if you want to go strictly by stats he did fine here. Problem is stats lie, especially in his case. He was a high level backup who started here because of a lack of better options.
  18. Was enamored with the kid. This is absolutely tragic. RIP.
  19. Liked the movie when I was a teenager. I was very into avant garde stuff like Donny Darko, Adaptation, Eternal Sunshine, Pans Labyrinth etc. But, I think if I watched it now I'd probably find it too grimy to be enjoyable. Have the same feeling when I am watching movies directed by Darren Aronofsky now. I dont mind to feel a little sad watching movies, but hopelessness just makes me depressed.
  20. I truly hope he is.. Had my first Bar-Bill experience last year. Been back quite a few times as my sons and I make it out there for our boys days despite living an hour away. Hands down the best wings I've ever had (hence the avatar). Never soggy, always painted perfectly with great sauce. I havent tried anything there I dont like. The Bar-Bill House Lager by Ellicottville Brewing is a perfect pair with the wings. The wait can be a bit of a detractor, but always worth it.
  21. Did any of these end up on the secondary market last year?
  22. Dont believe anything from heavy.com its a garbage website
  23. Sal has actually played and coached football. He was a high school football coach before returning to the area. He understands the game better than anybody else I've heard on WGR. Maybe he doesn't have scoops, but to say he doesnt have good football insight isnt correct. Having scoops and picking games doesn't correlate at all. The projection came from WGR. Who else at that station has any real football background beyond watching it?
  24. Its not hard to wrap my head around it at all. I actually agree with the NFL on it, especially the bit about betting on football. What I don't agree with the NFL on is making the punishment for gambling on other sports more severe than physically harming another human being. This is the third time that we know of with this guy. Also, I appreciate the fact you think you're more intelligent than other people, but I could do without the smarmy sarcasm.
  25. They spent close to an hour on hot dogs this morning. Its been golf, hockey and psycho babble since Howard left the morning show. Not going to take a lot of stock in this thing unless Sal wrote it.
