You expect the news to care more about the kids than the Dad did?

The PFF grade I saw was 76.5. Maybe I am reading it wrong, who knows.

Your dead on about his physique. He carries his weight in his belly and hips. I'm in no position to speak about weight but I'm also not paid to be in peak physical shape.

Dwayne Haskins killed [Edit: struck by vehicle]

Maybe they should work on suing themselves as well. -
Well I could tell you about pro bowls and PFF grades. I could tell you about him being a captain on the team but all 3 of those things are subjective. For me, I've never said the guy is Tyron Smith. He isn't. He isn't a lockdown LT because he isn't as athletic as guys like Smith, Stanley, or Trent Williams. But to say he's replacement level, given his track record in the league, id say that's wrong.

Hes an above average left tackle in the league but his game has certainly been in decline. Particularly against players who like to start wide and come back inside on him. Hes always been a bad body guy, but its getting worse by the year.

Well that was an absolute crap fest - PostGame thread
thenorthremembers replied to Einstein's topic in The Stadium Wall
Not going to go in on the penalties too much. Refs are usually more severe in the preseason and ticky tack stuff is more likely to be called. That said, the thing that stood out to me the most was lack of talent in positions the Bills knew they had to fix. They needed to bring in real competition for Spencer Brown. Instead they bet on his issues being all injury and they clearly aren't. I was fine with them letting Edmunds walk, but they shouldn't be in a situation where a Bernard injury sinks them. Other areas like running back and defensive end still look to be issues but at the very least there is depth. James Cook has shown nothing to say he can be a legitimate starting running back. Poor awareness, speed to the hole is bad etc. Now we have new issues popping up like Dion Dawkins' kick step being faster to a buffet table than it is against speed rush. Elam can't crack the starting lineup and our safeties look old. I'll say what I said a lot last season. The Vonn Miller signing was out of character for Beane, and its handcuffed the Bills from making legitimate moves to up grade positions of need. Couple that with Beane having a real hard time drafting quality starters and you start to have a talent void in important places. -

If Dawkins and Brown keep playing the way they've been I can assure you he'll be injured at some point. -

Well done RJ. Rest easy now. Absolute legend.

Giving Aaron Brooks time to find Joe Horn!

Yeah man, he may be the biggest male musician in the world right now. That said, I tend to separate acts like Combs, Morgan Wallen, Bruce Springsteen, Taylor Swift, and Elton John from acts like Harry Styles. Harry Styles earns more from his concerts, but his songs dont do as well overall. IMO, people go to Harry Styles shows because its the in thing to do amongst twenty somethings. More interested in the experience than the music. Kind of like tailgaters at a Bills game who could care less about the game. In terms of Combs, his music crosses genres well. For instance, my teenage son who listens to mainly rock and rap loves him. So does my college age daughter who listens to alternative pop. Depending on the price I may go to one of the shows. Apparently he is doing two different shows. First night is centered on Folk Country, with the Avett Brothers opening. Second night is more modern country. Smart move on his part.

I came here to say they shouldn't have relied on an old guy to play LT. Then I looked it up and saw he is only 31. How the heck is he only 31? Seems like he played for the Saints when Sam Mills was still there.

OT…opinions of ESPN anymore?
thenorthremembers replied to 78thealltimegreat's topic in The Stadium Wall
I sometimes watch sportscenter on Saturday mornings, otherwise I dont turn it on. They went from being a network that had one opinion based show, to a network with people talking non-stop all the time. I miss the days of the Sports Reporters being the only opinion based show. The network is non-stop noise now. My life is noisy enough, I dont need more people yelling at me. ESPN would be smart to try and put on programming for more "intelligent" fans who care about the intricacies and histories of Football, Baseball and Basketball. Crazy people yelling at one another, pickleball, soccer, and cornhole isnt going to sway me to watch. In terms of pre and post games, I turn on the game when it starts and turn it off when it ends. See the noise thing. I am 40 years old, I've heard people talk long enough. Most of the time people are just saying words to take up air time, for the most part its meaningless babble. -
Going to disagree with a few points here. First and foremost, I think Combs is easily as big as Ed Sheeran and Harry Styles. In fact, I'd say he is a bigger star than both considering he has crossover power in Country, Rock, and Pop. Sheeran and Styles are purely pop acts. Combs has more #1 hits than either guy. Not to mention Harry Styles demographic within music itself is pretty limited. You wont see a lot of guys at a Harry Styles concert. The Tracy Chapman cover is huge right now. You cant turn on the radio without hearing it, whether thats on country stations or pop stations. Guy has the biggest song in the world right now, and has 16 consecutive #1 songs. That puts him on level with Garth Brooks. I dont think he'll have any trouble selling out those shows.

Bills practice Thurs 8/17 starting with McD interview
thenorthremembers replied to Beck Water's topic in The Stadium Wall
I think they expected Bernard to step up and take the role. With his injury, you dont have much to work with. Only guys worth looking at in free agency at this point are Anthony Barr, Jarrad Davis, and Rashaan Evans. At this point I am not sure any of those three guys can learn the defense and calls to be anywhere near ready to start for the team. -

Players already disliking Bienemy…
thenorthremembers replied to LabattBlue's topic in The Stadium Wall
Andy Reid was making the calls. M Nagy was the QB coach which is why he was shown in that show so much. End result is the same, Bienemy's lack of play calling experience and his past legal issues are the reasons he hasn't received head coaching offers. -
Henderson may have been better off in this day and age of the NFL. He was managing the Crohn's disease with a banned substance that is no longer banned, missed almost an entire year because of it. The surgery he had prior to the suspensions sounded agonizing.

I think its a solid possibility. If he decides to play football then he ends up on the practice squad here or another place. If he decides to stop playing I have no doubt the Bills give him a community outreach position as part of the front office. No matter what happens, I dont think the Bills will hang him out to dry.
