Josh Britt unverified Breakup rumour
thenorthremembers replied to loveorhatembillsfan4life's topic in Off the Wall
I am pretty sure the rumor mill has its wires crossed. Last off-season or the one prior to that All Pro Po got himself into trouble with a UB Student/Bar Tender. This all sounds like the same thing except someone plugged in Josh where Po actually plugged in. -
GOAT debate related to era Montana vs Brady
thenorthremembers replied to Mikie2times's topic in The Stadium Wall
It is when part of the debate includes the offensive system. Steve Young was a bum in Tampa Bay. Part of the argument is that Walsh's system had a part in the success of Montana. Including Young who had thrown 11 tds to 21 ints, and was sub 55% completion percentage prior to moving on to San Francisco helps to make the guys point. -
GOAT debate related to era Montana vs Brady

Peyton is my number 2 as well. Had he not played in the Era of Brady, I think he would have easily won more Superbowls than Montana, but he did so its pointless to wonder. Brady had the same level of intensity as Jordan. Just an unquenchable thirst to win. I think Tiger Woods had the same type of mindset prior to the madness in his personal life. -
GOAT debate related to era Montana vs Brady

You seem to be conveniently forgetting a few things about the discussion. First, Brady didnt play his whole career in the era where Qbs were protected. He was well into his career before that changed. Secondly, Brady is a bigger athlete. He has 2 inches and 20 pounds on Montana. The 20 extra pounds goes a long way into the longevity you're talking about. A few points you made just dont pass the smell test Chiefs Roster- While the Chiefs didnt have Jerry Rice. Montana had Marcus Allen (Hall of Fame) and Willie Davis with the Chiefs. Not to mention a bevy of decent running backs like Harvey Williams and Todd McNair. Montana wasnt airing it out by that stage of his career Chiefs AFCG Appearance- I would argue Montana was a game manager by the time he made it to the Chiefs. They made it to the AFCG that year by playing "Marty Ball" they ran the ball extremely well and had a couple monsters on defense Neil Smith and Derrick Thomas. You bringing up this point and then highlighting Steve Young makes my exact point about the Walsh/Seifert 49ers offense. What QB has succeeded in the Belichick/McDaniels offense like Brady? Certainly not another Hall of Famer in the Lot. I still think you're going a long ways to make this argument. Too many what if's and buts. Montana was 38 when he retired, not a young pup by any means. The point you're making about playing well into his 40's could be made about so many QB's not just Montana. What if Manning didnt have the neck injury? What if Dan Marino had played for the 49ers and not the Dolphins? It could do on for days. My God what if Brady had Rice, Taylor, and Roger Craig? The bottom line is Brady has 7 rings, and was great over the longest period of time. -

Brady made his coach look better than he was. Montana's coach made Montana look better than he was. In my lifetime I've found the easiest way to the truth is to choose the answer with the least amount of what ifs or variables. Brady is the GOAT and to me it's not close. Personally, I think the larger debate here is whether Montana was better than Peyton Manning. Hell, Mahomes should already be mentioned in the conversation for 2nd best ever. But just like with Jordan in Basketball, there is no real discussion about who is the GOAT. -
BB pointing fingers at Mac when he should be pointing fingers at himself. He drafted the guy, put Stromboli from Pinocchio in charge of the offense and then wonders why Mac is looking for outside help. Trade him away, go for it. He is going to get the same result with any QB not named Tom Brady. Its the only result he has ever gotten with a QB not named Tom Brady.

Pretty sure a report came out on the incident where the same play was called all week in practice and Josh was having trouble hitting the throw, he told Diggs dont worry we will hit it in the game. Josh missed the throw and what Diggs was saying on the sideline was "Whats your excuse now Josh." Depending on who you believe, it may be nothing and it may be something. I think he has come across pretty poorly the last year.

Bought it in 2021 and 2022 for the Jays. The blackouts are bad, but overall its a good price for that many games. Havent bought it yet this year, but am considering giving it another go.

Thats only if the broadcasters see the Bills as worthy of prime time. Personally I dont care and prefer 1pm games, but what have the Bills done this offseason to make people interested in them? Miami and NYJ are going to get all the hype going into the season. I think its likely that the talking heads see the Bills as a team fighting with NE for 3rd place in the division.

NFL approves rule change to let players wear number 0

More of a preference thing but I think 0 looks terrible on uniforms. But I also hate 40's on linebackers, and single digits on any player who isnt a kicker, punter or quarterback. -
NFL Network layoffs begin, ESPN layoffs expected

ESPN, Amazon, Disney, Google, NFL Network, not unlike any other company in America right now. My company is laying off 5% of its workforce at the end of April. Hoping I still have a job in a month. Brought to you by the strong economy. -
Your Bills-related unpopular opinion
thenorthremembers replied to QB Bills's topic in The Stadium Wall
The Von Miller signing was not needed and has already set the organization back. You dont beat teams like the Chiefs and Bengals with defense, you beat them by outscoring them. The money should have been used on a #2 wideout. Dawson Knox is an average tight end who benefits greatly from Josh scrambling in the redzone. The Bills paid him 2x his worth by extending him and should have let him test free agency. Tremaine Edmunds was slightly above average and at time maddening to watch while he was here. He deserved one pro bowl during his time here and that was last season. I am glad the Bills didnt pay him. Mitch Morse is vastly underrated by fans. Dion Dawkins is a good LT when he is in shape. I never found McKenzie funny or entertaining. Got the feeling he was a few cards short of a full deck. Diggs act has wore on me and I would fully support him not being on the team when his contract allows for it. I have no issue with Rex Ryan. -

Will DeAndre Hopkins be available this offseason?
thenorthremembers replied to NeverOutNick's topic in The Stadium Wall
Just my opinion but I think the Bills were very close to getting Hopkins last week and before the trade could be done the Cardinals moved the sticks on Beane by using the media to say the Patriots, Ravens, and Chiefs were all involved as well. Ossenfort was trying to get the Bills to bid against themselves to get the Bills to take on more of the contract or give more in trade. Again just my opinion, but the "He is an Arizona Cardinal" line seemed like the annoyed Beane type of thing we have seen in the past. All conjecture here but there was way too much smoke last week to be nothing. -
This front office and coaching staff is stubborn as hell and its not going to be beneficial to the team going forward. Beane is deadset on getting guys who can run after the catch with a QB who rarely throws the ball in time for a WR to have time to get YAC. Coach wants Josh to slide more, meanwhile his running ability is a huge chunk of the offense and one of major reasons he is a game changer at QB. I sit here and watch the video and hear this guy blabber at the end about Josh's UCL injury all the while thinking to myself, "The injury was inside the pocket." This team won 13 games last year and all of the sudden we need to put our foot down on the one reason the team won 13 games? If Coach wants to be more successful as a team in the playoffs and get to the Super Bowl maybe he should be putting his foot down on himself, or put his foot down on Beane who is looking at rival AFC East teams load up on offense while we are paying Ed Oliver 10 million dollars this year and have Gabriel "Try Hard" Davis as our #2 wideout. When your coaching staff wasted the best chance the Bills have had to win a Super Bowl in 30 years by throwing up on itself during 13 seconds, maybe humble yourself and not call out your star QB for doing the wrong thing in the media.

To add to this, David Edwards wasn't a hard one to predict. Played guard for our current Oline coach and we need guards. Seemed like a logical connection to me. -

All this Arizona wideour talk reminds me of the time Anquan Boldin was on the Bills. BTW has he solved social justice yet? -

I can spell sense. I also graduated from college. What I've never done is make 39 million dollars and retire at 35. Guess the joke is on us
