Thad Brown the first to be offended by Josh
thenorthremembers replied to 78thealltimegreat's topic in The Stadium Wall
Joe Dibiase was saying the same stuff on WGR this morning. Saying what Josh said was a bit annoying. But nothing like the hornets nest line. Dumb dumb dumb -
This topic seems to come up once a year, always during the offseason. Go back and watch the Wild Card playoff game against Jacksonville, and you will see all you need to know about why Tyrod inst held in higher regard around here. The quarterbacking in that game set passing in the NFL back 50 years. And thats exactly who Tyrod was. Teams who had defensive ends who crashed and didnt contain, coupled with linebackers who were too slow to play sideline to sideline struggled with Tyrod. Teams who played sound defensive figured him out quick. Incredibly limited as a quarterback, couldnt throw the seam, couldnt throw people open, refused to throw the ball unless the wideout had clear separation. The last part was the most frustrating bit about watching the guy. Tyrod was a fantastic leader and if you want to go strictly by stats he did fine here. Problem is stats lie, especially in his case. He was a high level backup who started here because of a lack of better options.

Was enamored with the kid. This is absolutely tragic. RIP.

Buffalo 66 came out 25 years ago yesterday
thenorthremembers replied to Another Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall
Liked the movie when I was a teenager. I was very into avant garde stuff like Donny Darko, Adaptation, Eternal Sunshine, Pans Labyrinth etc. But, I think if I watched it now I'd probably find it too grimy to be enjoyable. Have the same feeling when I am watching movies directed by Darren Aronofsky now. I dont mind to feel a little sad watching movies, but hopelessness just makes me depressed. -
Just ate at the original Bar-Bill!
thenorthremembers replied to BillsFan619's topic in The Stadium Wall
I truly hope he is.. Had my first Bar-Bill experience last year. Been back quite a few times as my sons and I make it out there for our boys days despite living an hour away. Hands down the best wings I've ever had (hence the avatar). Never soggy, always painted perfectly with great sauce. I havent tried anything there I dont like. The Bar-Bill House Lager by Ellicottville Brewing is a perfect pair with the wings. The wait can be a bit of a detractor, but always worth it. -
Did any of these end up on the secondary market last year?

Sal has actually played and coached football. He was a high school football coach before returning to the area. He understands the game better than anybody else I've heard on WGR. Maybe he doesn't have scoops, but to say he doesnt have good football insight isnt correct. Having scoops and picking games doesn't correlate at all. The projection came from WGR. Who else at that station has any real football background beyond watching it?

Its not hard to wrap my head around it at all. I actually agree with the NFL on it, especially the bit about betting on football. What I don't agree with the NFL on is making the punishment for gambling on other sports more severe than physically harming another human being. This is the third time that we know of with this guy. Also, I appreciate the fact you think you're more intelligent than other people, but I could do without the smarmy sarcasm.

They spent close to an hour on hot dogs this morning. Its been golf, hockey and psycho babble since Howard left the morning show. Not going to take a lot of stock in this thing unless Sal wrote it.

I thought he only hit women and young children. Glad to see he is branching out. Total piece of garbage. On the plus side he didn't have the audacity to smoke weed or gamble so the NFL should be fine with this. And has enough money and power over people to get them to not press charges.

They stay in Buffalo because even when they put vomit on the field the fans sell out the stadium.

Thats why they play the games. -
Very tempted but the Jays are having their predictable 90 win season and the AL East is stacked. Thank you for letting us know!

Is Sean McDermott our version of Doug Collins?
thenorthremembers replied to 78thealltimegreat's topic in The Stadium Wall
No. Doug Collins had Jordan. NFL Jordan plays on the Chiefs right now. Also Doug Collins is 6'6. I had a quick conversation with McDermott at Kelly Camp a few years back, 5'8 at best. -
Fantastic player but I never want to hear the guy called a leader again. In times of trouble or failure, leaders dont look around and try to find people to blame, they look directly in the mirror and ask themselves what could I have done better. And Stef hasnt been great in those losses. As for the playoff performances. Its not always the QB. Its not always the OC. In the three playoff losses he's had in Buffalo he has been targeted 27 times for 13 receptions for 119 yards and 0 touchdowns, with a 48% catch percentage.

Barkley hinting at sitting out the 2023 season.
thenorthremembers replied to Gregg's topic in The Stadium Wall
Not a big supoorter of paying a running back but when Daniel Jones is your QB, and the offense runs through Saquon I would have paid the running back. Should have found another replacement level qb for this year. They aren't going to the Super Bowl with Danny Dimestore. -
Hopkins released by Arizona (7/16: signed by Titans)
thenorthremembers replied to HappyDays's topic in The Stadium Wall
He's made 114 million dollars in his career and only made it out of the wild card round of the playoffs twice in ten years. If taxes really play into a decision between playing with either Josh Allen or Ryan Tannehill, Id say his mind is in the wrong place.
