Around the NFL Week 9
thenorthremembers replied to Hapless Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Game isnt over. Check with me at the end. I will gladly say I am wrong. Still say they beat the Bills. -
Wrong again. I have provided both opinions and facts. While you have provided nothing but name calling and conjuncture. Being a fan of a team, doesnt mean only thinking they are the best team in the league, that they will only win every game, and that I will only be happy about them. Thats called following blindly and being a sheep. I never said they wouldnt make the playoffs. I said the path there isnt going to be an easy one, and its not. My happiness isnt derived from a football team, but again nice try. Its the main reason, yes.

I think their coach was a horrendous hire. But, I think the team overall is more talented. Overall I see both teams as average, and if Buffalo had Cleveland's schedule I dont think its unfair to say they would have been 2-5. That said, if the Bills remaining schedule was Denver, Cleveland, Pittsburgh, Miami, Pittsburgh, Cinci, Arizona, Baltimore, Cinci- I imagine a lot of fans here would expect them to be 8-1 or 7-2.

I think you assigning me as miserable, has more to do with you than it does me. I provided an opinion and backed it up with reason, for instance the parts you highlighted: The Bills are in trouble: They just lost to a 3-4 team 31-13, and mustered 169 passing yards when the Eagles were giving up over 300 yards a game coming in. The back half of their schedule includes games against teams with winning records, they havent shown they can beat teams like that, and they havent shown they can win games against bad teams cleanly. They also cleaned the Ravens clock. Do the Bills have a win like that yet this year? - The Bills havent beaten a winning team this year. And they are beating bad teams by an average of 5 points. They dont have a signature win this year. I I don't think the Bills are a very good team- The Bills average 19.1 points a game, thats three points under the league average. If you are less than average, you're not very good. If you consider their offense ranking for points per game 24th, to their defensive ranking 5th, they come out somewhere around 15th. A defense that just gave up 31 points at home. They beat bad teams, and not good teams. All of this tells me they are not a very good NFL team that is taking advantage of a favorable schedule. I don't think the Bills will score enough points to keep up with the Browns, Cowboys, Patriots, or Ravens, and they are going to have a hard fight to get into the playoffs: they are going to have a hard fight to get into the playoffs: The Bills are currently at 66% chance to make the playoffs. Cleveland, Baltimore, and Indianapolis all have favorable schedules, and Houston is a better team than the Bills. I would have a lot more confidence in a team that didnt struggle to get to 21 points.: There have been 120 games played in the NFL this year. 19.1 points would have won 18 of them. They will lose to Cleveland, Baltimore, Dallas, and New England: Give everything I've outlined above it is my opinion that this is a likely outcome.

1- I think they Bills will win against the Dolphins, the Jets, Broncos and Steelers. I think they can beat bad teams, I dont think they can beat good teams, and I dont think they can score enough to beat the Browns. Again, realist. 2-You may not, but if you look around the board enough I think you can agree its crazy here after a loss. 3- Kind of a jerk thing to say without knowing a thing about me besides my opinion on a football team.

Just a realist. Do me a favor when the Bills have struggles down the backstretch don't come here once and complain. I truly hope the Bills play lights out for the rest of the season and blow every opponent out. However, if I thought that was going to happen I'd be miserable after every loss. I knew the Bills probably couldnt beat the Eagles going into last week because of the disparity of both the defensive and offensive lines. I watched the game and hoped I was wrong, but I wasnt. Ill send you an invite to the seminar when they lose to the Browns, Ravens, Cowboys, and Patriots. I agree. Its because everything is based on week to week takes to try feed off of people's emotions. Its a long season, better to ride the wave.

The comment about the Ravens game was in response to another poster's comment about the Browns losing to the Titans. Every game in the NFL is an entity until itself. The Browns may match up against the Ravens better than the Bills, and the Bills may match up against the Patriots better than the Browns. My original point was, I dont think the Bills match up against the Browns well. I also believe the Browns will go on a tear down the backstretch, as you mention here their schedule is very easy. I think that starts with the Bills, because as much as I love the organization, I don't think the Bills are a very good team. Bottom line is I don't think the Bills will score enough points to keep up with the Browns, Cowboys, Patriots, or Ravens, which will leave them at 9-6 going into the last week of the season against the Jets for a win and in game. Which is only a win and in, if two teams in the mix drop off the map. Unless the Bills start scoring points they are going to have a hard fight to get into the playoffs at 10-6, because I think teams like the Texans, Colts, Browns, and Ravens will all be around that 10-6 mark. So you have what amounts to five teams fighting for four spots, two division winners, and two wildcards in this scenario. Because the Browns are currently 2-5, and there is this huge media narrative about them imploding people seem to think it should be a game we mark as a win. I just dont see it that way. If we are talking about this season, the Bills have 3 more, not a lot more. And while there may be no style points, I would have a lot more confidence in a team that didnt struggle to get to 21 points. The Bills have played 2 teams with winning records, and the Browns 5.

They will lose to Cleveland, Baltimore, Dallas, and New England they will go into the final game of the season trying to get to 10 and 6. Browns schedule the first seven games included Pats, Seahawks, Ravens, Rams and 49ers. Its going to change. The Bills are in trouble, like it or not they dont score points and the schedule is about to get harder. 10 and 6 with losses to Cleveland and Baltimore may not get you there this year.

Laugh all you want. Id bet money they beat this Bills team. The mtachup for the Bills is a bad one. Like I said id bet money the Bills lose. No one here appears to know whats coming the second half of the season. There is a good chance the Bills will be playing a win and in game week 17 after starting 5 and 1.

His response to his response was dead on. Fans constantly complain about how robotic coaches and players are, but the moment they show up as real people they are malcontents. Baker may be arrogant as hell, but I would take his fire on this team in a second. The Browns may have a bad record right now, but I guarantee they will beat our Bills in two weeks and I dont expect it to be a close game. The last five weeks they've played the Rams, Ravens, Seahawks, 49ers, and Patriots. They will be 8-1 over the last nine weeks and be playing for their division.

Its the new trend in the NFL. Ramsey did it in Jacksonville, we will see if A.J. Green plays for the Bengals again. Its worked for the players so far. -

Doea anyone here watch these games and think the Bills are a big name running back or wideout away from a championship? I think alot of people here need to come back to reality a bit and stop throwing keyboard fits because a football team didnt give them what they want. -
Put Bills trade talks today here.
