I like Cooks a lot but if a guy with that much talent has been traded twice in a matter of two years and I am a GM I probably dont make my team the 3rd in 4. -

Bills vs Broncos MNF Week 4 1994. The Bills wore these and the Broncos wore a logo that looked like a gimp horse. -

These aren't new. 24/7 Sports puts these out awhile back, from some guy named graphic maven on instagram. It looks like another media source picked them up calling it "new" from the NFL, when it doesnt have anything to do with the NFL. In fact I think these very same helmets have been posted here before. -
All of Thanksgiving, especially Allen's 1st down sneak John Brown juking Gilmore out of his shoes on the long TD vs the Patriots Knox beating the hell out of the Bengals defenders Allen catching a touchdown against Houston Hyde's onside touchdown Renegade What a great season it was!

Karlos Williams making a comeback

100% agree. They were an 8-8 team who got to 9-7 with a gift from the Patriots. -
Karlos Williams making a comeback

It's not all that surprising when an athlete who has options acts this way, they've been protected their entire lives. It is surprising when its a guy who played one season in the NFL and has been hanging dry wall for the last 3 years. When its that guy it points to mental illness, which both he and has wife seem to have. -

Karlos has a big time maturity issue. You can be a jerk and still make it in the league if you're mature enough to put in the work. Whaley wasn't his problem. Eating, smoking, and being in a toxic relationship was his problem. Long story short, Karlos is Karlos' problem. -

I turned it on and my 9 year old begged me to turn it off. He said, "that was the worst day of my life. Why would you ever want to watch that game again?" -

The owners in the NFL need to stop trying to fix things that arent broken. It would also help if they stuck to being the NFL and stopped trying to be the NBA. These are awful, awful jerseys. The new numbers and ATL are a joke. -
Very cool. Thank you.

What a fighter this guy was. Sad to see him go, but very thankful for the legacy which is inspiring a lot of really great folk/country artists right now. Anyone know who is playing guitar with him at the end here?

Buffalo Bills worst draft choices.
thenorthremembers replied to BuffaloBills1998's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Totally agree McGahee was a better pick. Honestly, if McGahee had a better attitude about being here and the thing wasnt such an s show while he was here, I believe there is an argument he was a hall of fame talent. For what it's worth I think he was just as good a back as Lynch. That said, Spiller and Lynch should have never been drafted by the Bills. McGahee should have been retained in 2007. However, I dont think that makes Spiller a bust. I think he was a more than serviceable back, I also think he was grossly underused when he was in Buffalo. All of the guys mentioned here were products of a team without a real plan. It's insane to think that in a six year span this team went through Willis McGahee, Marshawn Lynch, Fred Jackson, and C.J. Spiller. -
If you have enough cap space you dont. But paying someone a one year deal definitely impacts your team the year after. If the Bills pay someone 17 million for one year and get jack in output then they dont recoup the money, they lose what would be roll over cap for the next season. On the Watkins point you're surmising Watkins' output in the playoffs and superbowl was a prime factor in them being champions? I'd argue, even with his big AFC Championship performance, Kelce, Hill and Damien Williams were bigger factors in the Chiefs being champions. If paying Clowney gets the Bills over the top for a championship I am all for it. But I look at his history and he hasn't been able to do that for any other team he has played for and those teams had better quarterbacks to start with.

Buffalo Bills worst draft choices.
thenorthremembers replied to BuffaloBills1998's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
For me a draft bust is more on the GM than the player. I usually consider a bust a player who was drafted in the first three rounds that didnt come close to comparing with players of the same position picked after him. I get the T.J. Graham vs Russell Wilson debate but by position value alone even if Graham played great he would have never have had the impact as Wilson. Similarly players picked in a year where their position group was substantially weak really doesn't live up to the definition of bust for me. For instance C.J. Spiller may have been the best Running Back drafted in 2010, only Ryan Matthews comes to mind when I think of a player from his class that had a better career, the real issue is the Bills should have traded back to select him or not selected him at all. Same issue with Losman, the only other quarterback drafted after him in 2004 who had a decent career was Schaub. That said the biggest draft busts in for the Bills since 2001 would go in this order for me Table shows the player, then the player drafted after them at the same position. The Watkins pick for me was the worst thing the Bills have done in the first three rounds of the draft since 2001. There was no reason to move up to 4 to draft a WR when there was that much talent at the position. Sammy Watkins Evans Beckham Cooks Adams Landry Allen Robinson John Brown James Hardy Eddie Royal DeSean Jackson Mario Manningham Matt Slater Paul Hubbard Pierre Garcon Stevie Johnson Torell Troup LaMarr Houston Linval Joseph Earl Mitchell Geno Atkins Al Woods Arthur Jones Zay Jones Smith Schuster Kupp Godwin Golladay Westbrook Adolphus Washington Javon Hargrave Andrew Billings Quinton Jefferson Matt Ioannidis D.J. Reader Cyrus Kouandjio Justin Britt Morgan Moses Billy Turner Laurent Duvernay-Tardif Charles Leno T.J. Graham Mohammed Sanu TY Hilton Travis Benjamin Marvin Jones Rishard Matthews Aaron Maybin Brian Orakpo Connor Barwin Michael Johnson Clay Matthews John McCargo Gabe Watson Domata Peko Kyle Williams Kedric Gholston Donte Whitner Jason Allen Daniel Manning Roman Harper Dawan Landry Antonie Bethea EJ Manuel Geno Smith Matt Barkley Mike Glennon -
I think Vernon is just on the backside of his career and he is declining the closer he gets to 30. I'd prefer to sign him at this point because I think Clowney is grossly overrated at the level of pay he looking for. You have to make sure the money you put into a player matches the output you get from him. In that sense Addison really is the best value out of the four players being discussed here.

I wouldnt have paid Amari that money either, but I'd also be interested to see what Rex made from the Jets and Bills to not coach their teams.
