Week 15: Bills at Broncos
thenorthremembers replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Same. The lucky bounces will stop, and Tua will have to beat you with his arm. -
Dawson Knox needs to go....now.
thenorthremembers replied to Kwai San's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Right now Knox has one play. Catch it wide open on the sideline and try to stiff arm his way up the field. After the PI on the goal line I kept thinking I was so glad the Steelers held him because it is essentially 50/50 whether the guy will come down with the ball on routine catches, and that wasnt a routine catch. They need to update the Tight End position if they can in the offseason. -
Did D. Williams Make a LOT of $ Tonight?
thenorthremembers replied to Richard Noggin's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He was on his way to 10 million plus before tonight. Not sure the Bills will have the cashola to make it happen. -
Will never use DirecTV ever again. When I moved to my new house in summer 2019 I was going to use them, because I always had, and thought they were a fantastic company. What I forgot is they were bought by AT&T. At the time they were in a dispute with the local carrier. I was assured I'd get the channels, twice before they put a dish on my house. Tuned into the first week of pre-season and had no game. After hours on the phone, I got a we're sorry and we'll give you an antenna. I told them to come get their ugly dish off my house, and to cancel my subscription immediately. They tried to make me pay an early disconnect fee (I'd had their service for two days). I told them under no circumstance would I be paying an early disconnect fee because they lied about their service. They said they understood and I never heard back from them. Two months later I got a letter from a collections agency looking for the early disconnection fee on the behalf of DirecTV. Screw them. They are an awful company. They outsourced all of their customer service and jacked up their prices. I had to laugh when I saw the scroll across the top of both NBC and CBS this past weekend that DirecTV was about to lose local channels again. Somewhere along the line DirecTV and Time Warner switched business models. Loving my Spectrum service.

Mike Tomlin over or underrated
thenorthremembers replied to Big Blitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Wasnt a huge fan when he tripped Jacoby Jones in 2013, thought that was cheap. He has some issues off the field that have come to light in the last few years I am not a fan of either. However, I have things too so I probably shouldnt have been so crappy there. -
Mike Tomlin over or underrated
thenorthremembers replied to Big Blitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Dont care for him as a human being, but have to say he is a fantastic head coach. Honestly, think there may only be three coaches better than him in the entire NFL. Belichick, Reid and Payton (and Payton is debatable). He is 21st all time in wins and is only 48 years old. He could realistically coach another 15-20 years. By the law of averages that would put him top 5 all time. He is also already on the books as the youngest coach to ever win a Super Bowl. Yes, he has had Ben his entire career, and Ben is great but he isnt Brady great where you can make an argument it was all the QB. I really dont know if there is a sound argument to be made that Tomlin is overrated, he is a fantastic coach who probably ends up in the Hall of Fame. -
Are the Patriots now the drought-era Bills?
thenorthremembers replied to Success's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I said this to a buddy a few weeks ago. I see the Patriots, as long as Belichick is there, as a team that will be between 8-8 and 10-6 until he retires. He is too stubborn to bottom out for a high pick, but his coaching methods only work so well without Brady. The defense will have them in contention for a playoff spot every year, but unless he lucks into another dominant Quarterback their offensive gameplan is just bad enough for them to be a middle dweller. The Belichick legend has reached incredible heights. But he wasnt a winner before Brady, and he isnt a winning coach now. -
Only way I see it happening is if the Bills win the Superbowl. Otherwise my money would be on Rodgers, Derek Henry, DK Metcalf, Tyreek Hill or TJ Watt.

Bills could play entire AFC playoffs at home

Do people really think its likely the Browns beat the Chiefs? -

Been thinking the same thing recently. If you designate if as a post June 1st cut he counts for 2.75 of dead cap for 2021 and 2022. You end up saving 7.6 million in 2021, and 8.5 million in 2022. Resign Feliciano to play center at a lower contract, and then draft a right tackle and right guard. On the Brown thing, you save 8.5 million by cutting him. I can see him as a restructure, but its going to have to be a large pay cut for it to matter.

2 important games vs Dolphins in a row

I think and am hoping the Dolphins come crashing to Earth the next four weeks. -
Can Lee Smith just go already?
thenorthremembers replied to Ramza86's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I completely disagree. Sometimes being smart is knowing exactly what you're good at and doing that, rather than trying to impress people by doing stuff you're terrible at. Rather than reading a Dr. Seuss book, which would have been a total waste of time for him, Mayweather decided to make $450 Million dollars by punching people. Likewise Lee Smith made $20 million dollars by being good at shoving people in the correct direction. That said, I question your intelligence if you think the 150 pound Floyd Mayweather has the talent to play tight end in the NFL. Sometimes being smart is getting so rich that you dont care what anyone thinks of you. That said, the bottom line is both of these guys have made enough money to not give a rats tail about what Ramza86 thinks of them. -
Can Lee Smith just go already?
thenorthremembers replied to Ramza86's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Understood, but its not like he is some nobody from West Seneca who is fused to his couch. The guy is probably in better shape than anyone of us here, and not for nothing he has made close to $20 million dollars being an "idiot." Fact remains the guy who started this thread would never have the stones to say it to his face. @Ramza86 -

Oh man, I would love to see you say this to his face. That would be an incredible reality show. Normal people telling 6'6 270 football players what they wrote about them behind a keyboard to their face.- 169 replies

The josh haters are out in force today
thenorthremembers replied to Sharky7337's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The problem with discussing any football reporter, especially ones from ESPN, is that you are ultimately trying to have a rationale conversation about a hyperbolic statement and that doesnt work. The truth is Baker, Lamar, and Josh are all top 15 QBs in the league right now. Just because one player has a great game, it doesnt mean the other is trash. If you want to look at Baker and Josh specifically, they are relatively close in what they've been able to accomplish in the NFL. Josh has more wins, more combined touchdowns, and less ints. Baker has a better completion percentage (by .7) and has a few more combined yards. Baker is a good quarterback, but if you want to be real about elite physical talent, I think we all know how you should pick. The lesson here. Stop watching FS1 and ESPN for God's sake. -
End of the Carson Wentz Era
thenorthremembers replied to Giuseppe Tognarelli's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I mean, I agree. He is playing poorly. I think the injury has essentially ended his career. I watch the Eagles when they are on, and beyond the bad play he literally cant get the ball to the sidelines. He is throwing ducks. -
End of the Carson Wentz Era
thenorthremembers replied to Giuseppe Tognarelli's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Said it in the other thread about Wentz. Think he is one of the best people in the NFL. His work outside of the NFL through his AO1 Charity is fantastic. However, he hasnt been the same since the knee injury. He cant drive the ball anymore. Watching him throw an out is honestly kind of sad. Hope he can comeback from this, but if he doesnt I know he will do more with his life outside of the game than a lot of us will ever imagine.
