  1. Same here. I live around the same distance away, but otherwise I'd be there at least once a month. I'll have to check out their website. Thanks for the heads up and Go Bills!
  2. Wow 75 for the game used cleat is pretty great! I'll have to stop in again. Thats a good find.
  3. If I was the Jets owner and I saw the money Joe Douglas paid for free agents this year, and what he brought in with that money I'd fire him as well. From top to bottom they are the most poorly run organization in the NFL. If they keep Douglas, I suppose Roman makes the most sense as he and Douglas were in Baltimore together, but I think that will be a poor hire for them as well.
  4. It's something I did as a Father-Son thing with my Dad back in the early 90's. I have two sons now, and my oldest is very much into football. So I decided to start up the tradition again. I took him to Dave and Adams, bought three boxes just before the draft in 2019, which if I remember correctly put my bank account back 400 dollars. Long story short we got lucky and hit a Kyler Murray/Lincoln Riley College Ties Dual Auto #1/5 in the second pack of the first box. Given the amount of money I spent I decided to sell it just after the draft and ended up getting most of my money back on the one card. I figured if Murray stunk it would be the most money I'd ever get out of it and my son would still have all the rookies, game used, and autos from the other boxes. On top of it we would still have the memory of opening the box together and finding the card. The problem with box breaks is they are like scratch offs, my brother loves those things but he is constantly chasing the one time it actually paid off for him. Otherwise you're just sinking tons of money into it and not getting a return on investment. Pretty soon after the first box break I found out about the card shows people were putting together around Buffalo. I started taking my son to those, along with my brother in law and nephews. It just makes more sense financially, and we can still have a boys day and not feel bad about getting lunch too. Sadly COVID has kind of put the end to that for awhile.
  5. I got back into it a few years ago. Spent way too much money on them, put a nice collection together and ended up selling everything for 100 dollars. Its a fun hobby, and there are a lot of good card shows around here. Just not worth the amount of money it takes to keep it up.
  6. Vic Fangio subbing Jeff Driskel for Brett Rypien, running a designed QB run and then the Jets taking a penalty on it for a shot to the head is a great summation of both this game and 2020 as a whole.
  7. Love the NFL Vote commercial that looks like someone shot with a camcorder. Cameron Jordan "You cant win if you dont play.." I'd like to remind him you also cant lose.
  8. They were a lot closer than they are this year. Holy crap is their roster devoid of talent.
  9. Boger needs a forever preseason. Awful at his job.
  10. At the very least they want to hit someone, Broncos didnt seem to want to tackle Darnold. Watching these teams makes me realize how far the Bills have come talent wise. I am not sure how the season will play out, but thankful to not have to watch teams like this every week.
  11. Kinda hard to quantify that. To date he has been arguably the best DT picked in his class. While he isnt lighting up the stat-tracker, he has been the Bills best defensive tackle by far this year. Could use some help from the guy next to him.
  12. Shaun Wade CB Ohio State. Edge rushers aren't that impressive and the two linebackers worthy of a first round pick at this point will be long gone.
  13. Interesting. I havent paid much attention to the starting lineups at the outset of games but you'd think Oliver would be the starting 3, Jefferson would be his backup, and Butler would be starting at 1 tech. Things that make you go hmmmm...
  14. What was he losing his mind about? For a little guy he sure does work up a big noise sometimes.
  15. I dont think they play Jefferson at 1 tech? I believe he is a 3 tech and an end in sub packages. Maybe I am wrong here. Agree about the run defense, but I dont think its a lack of experience against run based offenses. Butler and Harry need to step it up, they miss Star a whole lot. The other issue is for how big Edmunds is he doesnt shed blocks well as he isnt dominantly strong, I believe he was somewhere around the 63% percentile for bench press when he came out of VT. While Milano is better in terms of strength he struggles as well due to size. When your space eaters arent keeping your linebackers clean, and your linebackers are compounding the issue due to poor gap integrity its a recipe for disaster. Hopefully they get it fixed this week. The defense is a little light in the pants, but not across the board. The guys at 3 Tech are light for the position, but they are both attackers. If the trend keeps up where our attackers arent attacking, you may see them bring in a bigger 3 Tech. You may see the Defensive Line get home a little more this week with playing a bigger slower oline. Just have to hope our offense is as dominate as theyve been and its a pass happy game.
  16. Was hoping for the same. White face masks included.
  17. The Jets can hire Vince Lombardi for all I care. I just dont want them drafting Trevor Lawrence.
  18. If I never see him, Tony Corrente, or John Hussey again it will be too soon.
  19. Better get used to the Nickel because it is essentially McDermott's base defense. What they dont have, and havent had since he has been here is a unique enough athlete to play the "big nickel" everyone talks about. Jeremy Chinn or Kyle Dugger would have filled that role well. Whats odd to me is they know they have to run nickel, most teams have to because it's incredibly unusual for modern teams to run an offense with just two wideouts, but still our depth at both cornerback and safety is bad, and its not like its been good since McBeane has been here. I guess they know that the name of the game is scoring points not playing defense.
  20. If Joe Douglas couldnt look at the game film last year and realize his roster was devoid of talent he should have never been a GM. The talent he did have he moved. He then left his third year quarterback, who needed to take a giant leap forward this year mind you, and surrounded him with a steaming pile of monkey dung at both offensive line and wideout. Dont even get me started at what they have at cornerback and edge rusher right now. The Jets are in a situation right now that will take them years to get out of if they don't end up with Trevor Lawrence. And even if they do end up with Lawrence, who is uniquely gifted like our current QB, they will waste him as well if they dont surround him with good players, solid veterans, not just rookies they hope end up good like Denzel Mims. Or complete waste cases like Le'Veon Bell. Maybe that was all part of his plan who knows. Maybe he was just waiting until Gase got fired and Darnold was out of town behind him....Hopefully they win enough games to be out of the Lawrence sweepstakes.
  21. Been thinking this as well. Feel like Daboll would be a leading candidate for that job. Bears are going to have to bail on Mitch. He is a free agent at the end of this season.
  22. I also tried to change the thread title.
  23. It was Trent's second year they started 4-0 and Trent was on a lot of ESPN shows, but if I recall he wasnt really in the MVP conversation. He had 930 yards, 4 touchdowns and 2 ints through 4 games. Would have been something like 3,720 yards 16 TDS and 8 Ints for a full season. Feel like its a much different situation this time around.
  24. Or maybe it wont? In this instance I believe I can speak for almost everyone else on the board, we are enjoying it. Also, I believe many of us are adults here, we can decide what to enjoy or not enjoy on our own thank you.
