  1. If I was McD, that would have been number 1 on the following weeks "Growth Mindset" agenda - always have your brothers back
  2. Would love nothing better than a Bills-Bucs SB, Bills up by 4 with seconds on the clock, Brady drops back and passes to Gronk who gets hit with a piledriver from Matt Milano leaving him with a permanent limp and the Bills with their first Lombardi.
  3. You could even reduce the preseason to 1 game, not sure there is anything to be gained in playing 2 games.
  4. I agree that 18 is the optimum number. It's also easier from a scheduling POV: - 6 in-division games - 8 games v 2 NFC divisions (play the same 2 divisions every 2nd year) - 4 games v 1 AFC division (play the same division every 3rd year) 10 AFC games + 8 NFC games every year. Would obviously be the opposite for NFC teams.
  5. Even an Aussie knows what a leftist propaganda machine the NYT is. Despite this, I will continue to subscribe to the Athletic as long as the content remains high quality, football-focused and woke free.
  6. Despite some recent lapses in concentration and execution, I think we're on an upward trajectory at the right time of the year - but then so are the Chiefs, Titans and Bengals. Throw COVID and winter weather conditions into the equation and it is very hard to predict how far we will go. Confident but not overconfident.
  7. Burrow is a big part of that, obviously. Although I was not convinced by the Chiefs secondary. As for Chase, he looked like he had the route running of a Diggs, the catch radius of a Julio, the sticky hands of a Hopkins and the speed of a Tyreek...he is brutal and will be a match-up nightmare for all DB's.
  8. I watched Cincy come back from 14 down to beat the Chiefs. Burrow was magical and Chase was simply unstoppable. They are going to be extremely hard to beat in the playoffs.
  9. That caption needs to finish with "FIRST DOWN ATLANTA"
  10. Gee, Buffalo really sounds like a NIMBY joint.
  11. May as well just give us the Lombardi trophy now
  12. The Bengals will return the favour this time around. No Brown dice.
  13. Who would have predicted that he would have 11 receptions from 12 targets? That is a fantastic return from a part-time wide receiver.
  14. "Hope I get my gold jacket before everyone realises it was all Brady"
  15. What about Butler, Addison and Hughes - how much space would that create?
  16. Heck, I agreed 100% with you before you even posted:
  17. I wonder what our team sack total is this season? I am guessing we are bottom 10 in the NFL. It needs to improve.
  18. Happy with both the predictions and especially the outcome - Josh was fantastic today!
  19. Dawkins in for Star out is a net gain IMO.
  20. Merry Christmas all!! I just want two things: - good health to my nearest and dearest - a non-monetary wish to be fulfilled within the next, say - 36 hours!
  21. McD being outcoached is a given, but there is no shame in that. He just has to coach competently - no wasted time outs, going for it on 4th and short in the Pats half, no stupid challenges, better clock management etc. Beane needs to build a well-rounded roster with extra emphasis on offense to marry up with the talent he spent $258 million on. He can see where the weaknesses are, he just has to cut the dead wood, nail the draft (where he has recently missed a few) and make one or two BIG free agent signings. Daboll needs to be less vanilla and more creative, although he is a bit limited with our OL - especially this week.
  22. Bills 24 Pats 21 I have a feeling that Josh delivers a performance for the ages with 3 TD's, 0 INT's and 400 yards of offence. It's going to be lovely!
  23. His point remains valid - dummy or not. I just hope he is cleared to play Sunday.
  24. Playoff geeks - does the Browns loss help us if we fail to beat the cheats?
  25. Great write up again Freddie! It's quite sad if you think about it....Beane really wanted him in that draft, then thought he missed out on him to another team who then took another guard, then Beane got his guy. And then who could forget how emotional Ford got when he knew the Bills drafted him? I'm probably dreaming or deluded but maybe something clicks next year - however it's looking more and more unlikely.
