Rd 6, Pick 180 (1): Punter Matt Araiza, San Diego State
SydneyBillsFan replied to DJB's topic in The Stadium Wall
Not as well as Haack - he'll have his work cut out -
We really need some depth at guard - Saffold is only a 1-year filler and is not great against the pass. Bates has not played a full season and the likelihood that Ford will come good under Kromer is low. Must strengthen the IOL.

Just watched the draft, goddam ass end of the world timezone. When Yolo blows multiple virtual loads over a guy - you know we have our guy!

Be as funny as f*** if they took Matt Araiza.

New Bills stadium deal is bad for taxpayers, according to Yahoo!
SydneyBillsFan replied to JPL7's topic in The Stadium Wall
There are some zinc-rich rebar primers that are actually very effective. The determining factor in terms of their application is the quantity of rust on the rebar. Light surface rust - no problem. Heavy or flaking rust that has penetrated deep into the rebar - game over. -
New Bills stadium deal is bad for taxpayers, according to Yahoo!

Correct. Once excessive amounts of concrete cancer are evident, it's game over. There are a range of concrete repair products that are actually very good (expensive - but good). However, these are suitable for relatively minor structural rectification works - I suspect that the structural issues with the old Ralph might be of a more substantial nature. -
Many draft experts considered McCargo a late-2nd or early-3rd round pick before the 2006 NFL Draft. Because of this, many people were shocked when the Bills traded up to select him in the first round with the 26th overall selection. McCargo spent most of the 2006 season on injured reserve. He passed out at training camp his rookie season, mainly because he had to run difficult drills in hot weather at his 300-pound frame. He was the second string defensive tackle behind Larry Tripplett in 2007, and played in all 16 games. On October 14, 2008, McCargo was traded to the Indianapolis Colts for an undisclosed draft pick, having been beaten out in the depth chart by Kyle Williams. However, after failing his physical the following day, the trade was voided and McCargo was returned to the Bills. ----------------------------------------------------- So glad those days are behind us.

Looks like Beane found a few quarters in the back of the couch.

Jarvis Landry wants $20 million a year
SydneyBillsFan replied to Inigo Montoya's topic in The Stadium Wall
Realistically, I think a 2 or 3 year deal around 8 mil per is his best case scenario. He might not even get that much. -
With a 7-team playoff format, is it inconceivable that all 4 AFC west teams make the playoffs? If they were to all go 1-1 against each other, then I could see a scenario where the bottom team finishes 9-8 or even 10-7. A long shot, but not impossible IMO.

Zay Jones to Jags for 3 years up to $30M with $24M base
SydneyBillsFan replied to Alphadawg7's topic in The Stadium Wall
From a 24-storey jumper to a 24 million contract - Zay has come a long way. -
Well they're only rubber bullets, he'll survive.

Booooooooooooooo. Worst Yolo thread ever!

I know it's a long shot, but: If DW is currently a 3.6mil cap hit and he somehow were to re-sign for the Bills at a salary which is over 3.6mil, does that original dead cap hit become null and void?

Levi Wallace gone to the Steelers on 2-year deal
SydneyBillsFan replied to Roundybout's topic in The Stadium Wall
8 mil or 8 mil per? If the former, that is disappointing. -
JD Mckissic to Bills 2 year, 7 million
SydneyBillsFan replied to BillsMafi$'s topic in The Stadium Wall
So where does this leave Moss? -
I agree that CMC is a better fit for us than Saquon and would love to have him in a Bills uni. However, I would still prefer a premium run blocking (and pass blocking) guard and then just sticking with Singletary and hoping that Moss would also be a better RB with a better run blocking O-line. But I suspect that I would be in the minority.

Yeah, I'm not sure how we can squeeze him onto the TBD 153-man roster.
