Totally agree Virg. We need Verse, Latu or Chops to pressure Mahomey. We’re not getting elite WR at 28, but we can get Legette or Coleman in 2nd. I see Shakir, Samuels and Shorter getting 500+ each.

Good points but I don’t see us getting an elite WR at 28, but we have a better chance of getting Verse, Latu or Chops. I would take one of them if the top 3 WRs are gone. Anyone available at 28 wouldn’t be the difference maker we need. It depends how the draft falls. Should be interesting.

I know that is the consensus here but Mahomey hopes our D stays same or gets worse. Their D is approaching elite and ours scares nobody. We need Verse, Latu or Chop. One of these will make Mahomey throw a pick or two. At 28, we don’t get an elite WR, and I don’t see us selling the ranch to get one.

I think our best chance is 11 or 12 with Denver and Minny to get one of the top 3. The teams in the teens either need WRs or wouldn’t want to help us. In the 20s, Philly or Minny might be potential trade partners. Also, we can move back and get Legette and Coleman. Both of them, along with Kincaid, Shakir, Samuel and Shorter, would make our offense scary.

Now I’m intrigued about how to get into 10-20 range to get either Verse or Latu for some must needed rush on Mahomey. With the haircut for Knox it seems Bills wanna keep him, but his contract now is more attractive to package to move up. Maybe Shakir, Shorter or Isabella, and Knox, to move up to get a difference maker on D. With that, I win the chicken dinner.

As we stand today, no, because we got Samuel now. I don’t think those two are seen as JAGS. At 28, I don’t think we should go WR. I would like to see us move up for Turner, Verse or Latu. Get a WR in round 2. BTW, do I still win a chicken dinner?

If any of the top WRs are there at 20-27, Beane better make a move. The 20-27 teams (Steelers, Fins, Eagles, Tex, Boys, Pack, Bucs, Cards) have other needs and might be willing to fall back to 28 for a 4th. Gotta get a Metcalf type.

I believe this coach can get us there. I’m sure that coaches for SF (taking ball in OT), BLT, HOU, MIA, etc. etc. were criticized for mistakes in the big games since they were losers. KC coach stepped into off-season with all the glory and no criticism. It happens every year with the guy holding the Lombardi hardware.
