During the boo’s at halftime I sat on my couch thinking “these guys Are 7 months removed from watching their team win a title and only 90 min removed from watching the banner raised and here they sit boo’ing only down by 3...... what a bunch of ***holes” that doesn’t scream passionate fan base to me. It does, however, make them look like a bunch of dicks

I never agreed with the whole "shell shocked" narrative. … whatever. I've said it before and i'll say it again. I have no clue how, year in and year out, the ravens get as much media hype as they do. 1 playoff berth in the previous 5 years. YAWN.

Right? It blows my mind how almost every single offseason the hype train is always carrying the ravens and every single year they are a middling team. Is it one playoff berth since 2012? YAWN. i mean. Don’t get me wrong. They could very well handle us in BALT but they’ve done nothing of note in a very long time. I just don’t understand the praise year in and year out.

Fairly certain it did happen last year as well. I had a buddy texting me the other day after the game about how the season was a wash and all I told him was “we literally had this same exact talk last year and I had to talk you down off the ledge. And didn’t you look silly?” Ill admit that game swayed my gut feeling a bit but I just kept repeating under my breath “just preseason. It’s just preseason. It’s just preseason” ..... over and over and over again.

well..... we don't know that for sure. i'm not nearly as low on him as you've made known for yourself. if he does get the nod(I don't think he does), then i think its because the coaches tried putting him in an exposed environment sunday and are confident they can gameplan against that going forward. with that being said. I really don't think he's starting.

orvlosky and Riddick were just talking about our situation on NFL Live. they basically said the exact same thing that's being repeated around here over and over again. that there has been some really good and some bad and that right now putting him in behind this line might be the worst thing for him. finished by saying the team really just isn't set up for a young guy to come in and grow and play well. I don't like it but its hard to argue against it.

I remember last year at this time when there were similar articles to this that seemed to make sense...… and then they didn't.

i'll be perfectly honest.... if Peterman was anyone else on the planet I would be screaming to start him. i'm trying to get over the fact that its Nathan Peterman, forget the past, and get on board. the bottom line is he's played with every unit and put points up. i'm begrudgingly in the "sit the rookie" category, I suppose.

theres more than one logical choice here. its not just mcarron or Peterman. I don't buy in that the concept you mentioned is what they are following. IMO they'll start allen if/when they deem him fit no matter how quick or long that takes, and that's the boat i'm on. I don't care if its week 1 or week 10.... i believe Peterman is an option but i want no part of it. i have absolutely no faith in his game when the bullets start to fly. if they think the rookie is ready count me in on that one. and FTR, while tranny is irritating, i find the "drinkers" a lot less annoying that the persistent pessimists.

It’s actually really not that dumb. I would argue your take here is fairly ignorant. Your blinders are definitely up. I really don’t want any part of peterman starting but after the first part of the preseason, with him getting plenty of first team reps and even a start, saying it’s the dumbest thread in history is honestly just really dumb on your part. You dont have to understand why anyone would give him this much thought as a starter but it’s fairly evident that the coach we’re all growing to love has differing opinion.

I think its fairly obvious that a healthy KB and a year 2 jones is better than Matthews and rookie jones. I don't think there's much debate there. it still might be a turd. but its been polished slightly. i'm not arguing about the question marks. i'm just stating that on paper I think its a pretty obvious upgrade.

while I don't 100% agree with Mat68's overall assessment of us improving in the offseason or the names he just dropped. I think it could be argued that a healthy KB along with zay jones in year 2 and the talent of a guy like coleman and even the kerley addition is much better on paper at the WR position than what we dealt with for the majority of last season. I still thinks its one of the lesser corps in the league, but I would argue its improved at face value.

Except for the fact that the reason most media is back pedaling on him now is because he’a demonstrating improvement in all areas that were knocks. You are literally 100% wrong on these statements. If he was proving his initial reports right he wouldn’t be getting the buzz he is now. Use some sense while you post.
