  1. becuz they had plenty of other pieces. they knew a team in need would overpay him a bit and he wasn't quite worth it to them. I believe we overpayed for him but I also believe he's an obvious upgrade..... becuz he will be. hands down. saying he's a poor mans Washington is an incredibly bad take. Washington was absolutely awful last year.
  2. the fact that you are referencing stats for a space eater like star says all I need to know here. the guy was the centerpiece of that run d for years. space eaters like him aren't paid for raw numbers. they get paid when they do their job, penetrate and eat up space for everyone else. and he's been on of the best at that since he entered the league...…. casey Hampton was a renowned and elite space eater. he averaged a mere 31 tackles a season. like i said. ill-informed.
  3. There was really no need for all this. You said 200 yds was a “very good” day for him while trying to reinforce a point. That was false. 200 yds a game was his average in Buffalo. I’m not happy with that. I’m totally fine with moving on from Tyrod. That doesn’t change what you said from being wrong... and sorta stupid. Sorry. Good talk, bruh.
  4. Especially when the young guy was as bad as he was last year. Really really REALLY bad take.
  5. And the award for “the most awful and ill-informed post of the day” goes to..... as for what the OP said. I don’t get what posters you are seeing. From what I’ve seen the majority of what people are saying is it could be a borderline top 10 unit. That’s realistic and it’s something you seem to agree with. I’m not seeing much about the D being over hyped around here honestly.
  6. That’s really really sad to me. Very fun season.
  7. You can want more and still debate that Tyrod wasn’t an awful qb. Is snyone even arguinh we should have just settled on Taylor at this point?
  8. So this was your takeaway from a playoff season..... explains a lot actually. I thoroughly enjoyed the season as a whole. Even being in Jacksonville for the loss. It was a close playoff football game. Great time. Its also funny that after that pathetic lecture on what sucked about the season you reference all that matters is winning and losing as an argument against a qb that won more than he lost last year. You are consistently all over the place, man. It’s impressive, really.
  9. well its not really though. not as a bill anyways. that's 201 a game.... which leads me back to my original point of twoandfourteen looking like a tool for stating that a very good day for taylor was 200 yds passing.
  10. right on man. thoroughly enjoyed the roller coaster ride last year.
  11. just checked. one playoff appearance in the last 5 seasons. yet every year its "watch out for the ravens". nah, i'm good.
  12. is it just me or does anyone else think the ravens have been extremely overhyped year in and year out since their title run? they've made the playoffs one time since then right? I mean come on. its every freaking year they are picked to keep winning games and they never do.
  13. I think its making a serious comeback though. 3 years ago I would 100% agree. but the feature back is most definitely making a return. couple years ago you could only name less than a handful of feature guys and now the list is getting longer. well duh. he hasn't even played half his career in buffalo. that doesn't mean by the end he wont be.
  14. I think one could argue mccoys talent is generational. not so much his numbers but his talent is. he's the only player over the last 20 years that comes into the discussion when you talk about guys that remind you of sanders. he's obviously NOT sanders but he's the only person I can feel okay about putting in that convo. he's most definitely been a top 3 back of his generation. I think he'll have a very strong case if he even just produces for 2 more seasons.
  15. if he had to retire today there's no way he's getting in..... 2 more quality season and I can see it though.
  16. 156 for his career due to spotty appearances in Baltimore. 201 per game in 3 years in buffalo...… which obviously nobody was happy with but lets not pretend 200 yds was a very good day for taylor just to try and prove a point. it was a dumb statement on his part. https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/T/TaylTy00.htm
  17. Also notice he claims Taylor is only throwing for 200 yds on a very good day for him when the guy averaged 200 pass yds a game over his 3 seasons here. Dont bother with that clown dude. He’s warped. I’m totally cool with Taylor being gone but some of these dudes takes are just really really REALLY stupid.
  18. Thanks for using one overly specific example to try and bail out a dudes dumb a** blanket statement that 3 and outs are the same as turnovers. Try telling that to the bills d back when they traveled to San Diego. I’m personally not tore up at all that Taylor is gone but what that dude said is dumb. I don’t know the numbers but I would bet money that around 50% of turnovers End up wth the defense getting stuck with a way shorter field than what a punt would have netted
  19. Let me get this straight. 3 and out and a flip of the field is the same as a Potentially field shortening turnover?... Geez, dude.
  20. Up until about 2010 Big Ben had a god awful record when he had to throw the ball more than 30 times. I can’t exactly remember the exact numbers but his win % dropped DRASTICALLY. So much so that always remember the graphic popping up during games when it was happening. He really was helped along for quite some time. During that said span he was just extremely freaking clutch. I mean I remember a good 3 or 4 year span when his numbers were pedestrian at best but there wasn’t a qb in the league I would take over him in crunch time. Heck, he was clutch all year back in 08 when they won the title and his regular season numbers were 3100 yds 17td and 15int. People forget how long it really took him to be who he is now and how good the teams were that he used to have around him. I’ll buy a ticket on that train all day though..... again. That’s best case scenario, obviously
  21. And honestly I think we all should be fine with that. I'm just spit balling in a dream world here but my best case scenario for this year is a poor man's version of the 04 "stillers". I live right on the outskirts of stiller country so ive seen a ton of that guy. Maybe the Defense takes that next step. Offense has a great run game and the rookie needs to make 3 or 4 WOW plays a game... and honestly the coaches and defense protected big Ben from himself up until about 2010 or 11. If we are thinking long haul here it may be that way for quite some time. Try and make sure the other units can pick up the slack while Allen gets his footing. If we are lucky he's around long enough for us to see that 10-12 year transformation.
  22. Same with foles keenum ans foles were qb’s that stepped into absolutely loaded situations. Both players Around them and coaches. I think we can all agree ours wasn’t that.
  23. You WOULD read what Tyrod said as him whining. No thanks on foles. Let’s see what he does without a dream team of offensive coaches and a stacked squad around him. And I’m soooooo glad we didn’t pursue him this offseason for the eagles asking price.
  24. Top 20 in the nfl and 8th among de’s for sack the last season he played isn’t average. It’s just not. Sorry. Maybe just do a tid bit of research before you post, man. On paper he’s an immediate pass rush upgrade. White and the other db’s will look that much better with even just a slightly better rush.
  25. This post completey lacks context to try and prove a point. The guys sack totals and playing time increased every single year up until his last full season of play in 2016 in which he had 9 sacks on the year. He’s gonna add immediate pass rush ability.
