  1. This is where I am. Logically, it makes sense to trade him. We could get back a deal, likely close, to what Tyreek Hill brought back KC.. and I don't think Diggs - as good as he is - is the difference maker Hill is. With Josh Allen, at the level he is at now, as long as we keep stocking the cupboard with talented WR's like Gabriel Davis, Jamison Crowder, one day maybe he gets the miracle of a high draft pick WR, etc.. as long as we keep doing that, he's going to elevate these dudes to an elite level. Diggs obviously helps, but if I didn't hear how Beane talks about him, and how Josh loves the guy, I'd be inclined to think we might move him due to cap allocation concerns.
  2. Only way I see us getting him is if the “trade a vet” rumors are true and we move someone like Edmunds or Poyer freeing up some money. I don’t see Gilmore as a take less for a SB run type of guy.
  3. Im open to debate on DK as a player who’s worth it, but - as you point out - DK will immediately want a new contract, one that likely starts at the Tyreek Hill numbers. Essentially we’d be trading Picks + 2 of the following 3 (Edmunds, Oliver, Knox) because with both Diggs and DK needing $$$, we’re letting two of them walk/trade. Diggs-Davis-DK, with Knox at TE is certainly something.. Is it worth losing some high picks plus Edmunds plus Oliver?… That would be the question. Obviously this isn’t happening though.
  4. I agree that they let Levi walk. They clearly wanted to move on from him. IMO, they want to get faster in the secondary.. and Levi is the opposite of that. Faster doesn’t necessarily mean RD1 CB.
  5. Heard Buffalo Fanatics podcast go on about the money angle as well… but wasn’t it reported that the Rams came close on the money? 6 yrs/120 is fluff, but I’m pretty sure I’ve heard LAR got close on the guaranteed money. Not where we were, but not too far off.
  6. If we trade up for a CB I’ll be pretty disgusted. I could see a trade-up for Olave or Williams though.. those guys may not make it to 25, but could be within trade-up reach and would be that missing speed piece on offense. I don’t want a CB in RD1, but if Andrew Booth is there at 25, I wouldn’t hate it. If that were to happen, RD’s 2-4 should all be directed to Offense. If we go Offense RD1, I’m sure we’ll go CB in RD2 or RD3.. RD4 at the latest if we get a reliable vet before the Draft. I don’t think Tre’s return time affects any of this. We need 2 more corners regardless. I’d venture to guess that their view of Dane Jackson affects what we do at cornerback far more.
  7. Williams is gone and Brown will be in his 2nd year as a guy who was raw coming into the NFL. Calling Bates at RG and Brown at RT “huge holes” is not accurate. We should absolutely draft some OL.. I’m not opposed to taking a Tackle at 25 if someone is there we love, but I’m not stressing out if our starting five coming September is Dawkins-Saffold-Morse-Bates-Brown, with an entire camp/preseason under Kromer.
  8. RG and RT are not huge holes. Ryan Bates and Spencer Brown are pencilled in as starters there. Could they be upgraded, sure, but the OL played well down this stretch with those two in the lineup. We saw what a huge hole looks like in Bills/Chiefs Playoffs 2020… when Chris Jones was devouring Feliciano. The Bills Offense did whatever it wanted to the Chris Jones led DL in Bills/Chiefs Playoffs 2021.
  9. Ill hold off until after the draft to form an opinion of their off-season as related to Josh Allen. So far, in general, I give this off-season an A+. Where they’ll lose me is with a premium pick filled defensive draft, ie.. RD1 CB plus another defensive player like LB or S in the Top 100. At minimum, this offense needs another high level WR. Ideally we also get an IOL & OT in the top half of the draft to compete for starting spots or, more likely, provide stronger depth as they develop.
  10. I mean more-so in the sense that our 11/12 personnel would be primarily Diggs/Davis, with a RD1 WR rotating in on the outside. They’d certainly play, but I wouldn’t expect them to start, unless we took Jameson Williams as he likely becomes our primary slot WR.
  11. People who say it will always look like Josh is doing everything say that, because it’s all we know. They just need to look at Mahomes who game in, game out, has about 4 or 5 short passes turn into massive gains. Or Herbert checking it down to Ekeler for 15-20 yards a pop. Burrow hitting Chase on a short crosser that goes to the house. Etc etc etc..
  12. Christian Watson would be interesting with his size and speed. He needs some work, but wouldn’t be relied upon immediately with Diggs and Davis outside.
  13. My suggestion for CB: Trade Edmunds for a Top 90 pick. Draft his replacement. Use some of the freed up cap space and send a 4th to NYG for Bradberry given we can now absorb some of his contract. Then go WR, OL, OL in the first three rounds, plus LB with the Edmunds pick. I don’t know if Edmunds would bring back a Top 90 pick, given hes in need of a new contract, but I think he would be given his potential and age. A 4th should get a Bradberry deal done given the Giants could then unload some of their cap hit on us. Im sure this won’t happen, but (IMO) it’s plausible if we had any desire to pursue it.
  14. I can’t complain about DL/OL investment. I mean, I do with the DL draft picks, but I shouldn’t ha. What gets frustrating is investing so much on the DL (valid) but then also needing to stud safeties, two heavily invested in linebackers, a high end slot corner, oh and we also have to upgrade cornerback. Meanwhile, we tell Josh to be elite with Diggs and RD3+ Picks. Credit where it’s due, they’ve hit on guys like Knox and Davis, but a guy like Edmunds and, to a lesser extent, Poyer and Hyde start to feel like luxuries that teams paying their QB 43M can’t really afford - unless, like us, we throw everything on the QB.
  15. I am not content with those 4 at WR… at all. We are a pass heavy team, and even with 2 legitimate TE’s, we can’t have our only option at WR2 being a guy who looks the part, but still remains to be seen that he can fully take the reigns and be a high end WR2 for the entire course of a season. Also, our slot WR’s are a good player with injury issues and a guy who’s never played as the main option out of the slot for more than a couple games. This team, 100%, needs another high level WR. If it was my team, I’d go WR, OL, OL in the first three rounds. I think we owe it to Josh Allen. If they’re worried about CB, which of course makes sense, put Edmunds on the trade block for a top 90 pick and draft his replacement with it. Use his money on one of the legit corners still on the market or send our 4th to NYG for Bradberry, given we’d be able to absorb some of his salary.
  16. I know this isn’t directed to me, but I’ll respond because I agree with everything you said. I think we’ve handled this off-season about as well as I could’ve hoped. Allen Robinson would’ve been fun, and maybe he was the fall back if we didn’t get Von Miller, similar to what the Rams did when they lost Von to us. I think many of us are just dreading another high pick on defense. I get it.. CB is a need, but unless we’re trading a vet or two off this defense, we have so much tied up on that side of the ball. Meanwhile we’ve provided Allen with a solid OL, meh RB’s and (good, potentially great) weaponry in the passing game with Diggs-Davis-Crowder-McKenzie-Knox-Howard as a very promising group of weapons, but are they instilling fear in opposing defenses? Debatable. They fear 17, and because of 17, all those pieces are much scarier, but can we just give him one high pick as a weapon?? The AFC is absurd, and we’ve devoted enough on defense to where CB at 25, or via trade-up, shouldn’t be a necessity. We’ll land a vet before the season starts, we always do. If they want to go CB in RD2 or RD3, fine.. but it’s becoming comical the level premium pick defensive investment on this team.
  17. I disagree slightly with some of your points, but am in 100% agreement that if we go CB at 25 or via trade-up, over WR at 25, or trade-up… I’ll be pretty frustrated. Especially when we all know the guy, whether it’s Williams, Watson etc.. whoever we are wanting to draft at 25 then goes to KC a few picks later while McDermott gets Daxton Hill or some nonsense.
  18. Agreed. While not a need, I could certainly see us bringing in two OL, especially with Saffold, Mancz, Boettger and Ford all with 1 year on their deals. As it stands, my hope..(assuming this is close in value to Beane’s BPA) RD1 WR RD2 CB RD3 OL RD4 OL Then do whatever they want with their RD5, RD6, RD6 and RD7 picks… RB, Punter, depth etc..
  19. I agree with you that it seems investment has been over the top on the defense, but the defense should be a massive improvement… especially with the investment on DL, which is really the only way to shut down these offenses… ie., stop the run and rush the passer. Coverage can only ever hold up for so long. -Von Miller is a game-changing addition. We (IMO) likely would have won the SB with him last year. Our coaches never would’ve had the chance to spaz late game against KC. -We’ve upgraded the IDL with more than just 1 year deals.. Settle & Jones are here on multi-year contracts. -Were also at the point in their early careers where our DE’s make the jump if it’s going to happen. Having Von Miller in the room helps the odds of that jump happening for Rousseau, Basham & Epenesa. Late RD1/RD2 DE’s typically take a year or two. CB situation aside, and we’ll see how they handle that, this defense could be massively improved from last year. On Offense, I’d agree that we haven’t invested enough, and that’s why I’d very much rather this be a heavy offense draft. The strength of this draft is RD’s 2-4, and I’d be disappointed if 3 of the 4 picks aren’t Offense. I’d honestly be frustrated if our RD1 pick isn’t offense (WR or OL), but I’m preparing myself for corner. We can’t rely on Josh Allen to be on god-mode all the time. It seems they recognize that, but as of now, we’ve really just given him a slight upgrade at LG, RB and slot WR over last year, with a big upgrade at TE2. The hope on the OL being Brown makes a jump, because the other starting 4 look good, especially with the massive upgrade in coaching with Kromer. This is a very much improved team from last year, already, but it’s an arms race and I’d prefer we finally draft a heavy artillery piece for Josh.
  20. Moving Knox would be absolutely gross. TE is an increasingly high paid position, except unlike WR, it can take years to develop guys at that position. We finally have one. If they thought Howard could be his replacement, you don’t sign him to a 1 year deal. Best case scenario Howard kills it and then we just have to pay him similar money as Knox would’ve cost.
  21. Agreed, but if there’s a guy we love, it should also be one of the cheaper drafts to move up in. No big time QB, no consensus #1 WR etc.
  22. Diggs would be a blockbuster trade, not a “move a veteran to move up in the draft”. Moss might have 5th round pick value, at the most. Edmunds & Singletary are the only ones with “move up” value that make any sense to me. Our Safeties & Milano being the wild cards.
  23. Speculation, but from everything I’ve heard about Wagner, he’s not really interested in leaving the West Coast. Will be interesting to see where he signs.
  24. Have to think Lamar’s negotiations begin at the Watson deal. He’ll point to his MVP and no off-the-field issues. We can point out his post-season struggles, but it’s not like Watson has been much better.
