  1. I like how people knock the Bills & disregard their 2 shutouts against Miami & Houston as if it's no big deal... But it's the NFL! Any team can are least score SOMETHING at any point, and to hold teams to ZERO is a huge accomplishment. Right now, we have: Miami - 17 points against the Bucs Houston - 22 points against the Pats So let's not pretend holding both teams to ZERO isn't impressive. Doesn't matter who the opponent is, a shutout is a shutout. 😤 That's it for my rant lol
  2. FINALLY! He looks even more capable than I remembered!
  3. Are we really gate-keeping thread posts now? lol I feel like we should be happy how much interest there is, even if the topics aren't the most elite subjects for only the highest of intellectuals 😂 If anything, it sure beats offseason posts where everyone is bored out of their minds, and every free agent/trade option is a potential Bills signing (is Ertz signed yet)?
  4. Bingo! Each year, everyone bases their rankings on what the teams did last year. If that were true, every year would be the same. Chiefs & Bucs top teams in 2020, well then they'd be the top teams in 2021. And if they're the top teams in 2021, they're the top teams in 2022. And if.... It goes on & on. At some point things change. You can't just go off the last season, some teams are going to fall & others will improve.
  5. Did you watch him in college? Maybe if I did, I'd have thought that too. But honestly I was super confused. All I saw was a guy who had only 39 receptions & 0 TD's in his college career, and had zero idea why we needed to move up for that person. I'm glad I'm not a scout, as I had no clue who he was.
  6. I dunno, even the Bucs players seemed impressed with how accurate Mahomes was despite getting destroyed play after play. I hope people just get their hands up & deflect passes if they can't bring him down.
  7. It looks like he's frozen in time... Kinda like a Nathan Peterman pass trying to crawl its way to its target 😂
  8. It was early in the season, so if we're being honest, people didn't think he was "regressing" so much as reverting back to his norm.
  9. When Sam Darnold leads the league in Rushing TD's (not tied, actual #1), I know we're in the dumbest timeline. On top of that, 87 year old Tom Brady lead his team in rushing for a game! WHAT IS HAPPENING?!
  10. Crowd will be in it either way. We're talking Chiefs fans, not Cowboys fans Our defense is better, but they've also squared off against Old Big Ben, Jacoby Brissett, Taylor Heinicke, and Davis Mills lol Compared to KC who was up against Baker Mayfield, Lamar Jackson, Justin Herbert, and Jalen Hurts, we had it easy. Going from Davis Mills to Patrick Mahomes would be like going from riding a bike to being strapped into a rocket. Needless to say, they've got a HUGE challenge ahead of them.
  11. A lot of great QB's struggle in the rain... It doesn't speak to their skill or talent level at all. I love watching bad weather games on TV with OTHER teams, as it makes everything an unpredicatable mess. But after the drought, I've hated them when the Bills were involved. That "advantage" we used to have during the Kelly era was clearly not a thing anymore. All it does is make things more random & increase mistakes. Wind, a little drizzle, fog, etc. are fine. A huge rain or snow storm? Hell no. When it started up again, it was just sprinkling. It was so light you could barely see it on TV, and it was sporadic. Compared to the first half when it was pouring & it was totally visible no matter how far the cameras panned out, he played WAY better after the downpour stopped. Do the Great Lakes reach all the way to Missouri? That lake effect weather is really no joke 😉
  12. Pretty sure the win in Tennessee was right before Tannehill was the starter, and winning at LV in an empty stadium wasn't that impressive. After what NE did to us for 20 years, ANY win against them is awesome, but let's not pretend Cam Newton Pats were anything like Brady Pats. So really I'd put Dallas on Thanksgiving & last year's Pittsburgh games as the 2 highlights. Teams with winning records on nationally televised games, and at the time, Pitt had only 1 loss. But yeah, other road wins against good teams haven't been as common, but then again, you can't help how good the other teams are on your schedule.
  13. The Chiefs have shown you can pass on them with a lot of success. I know everyone's talking about running the ball & game management, and yes, we have to be able to run so they can't just do what Pittsburgh did & drop everyone into coverage. But when Jalen Hurts puts up nearly 400 yards & Herbert is dropping 4 TD's on them, you can't forget your own strengths either. We can't just be reactionary, and instead should look to our own strengths & exert pressure on them as well. Easier said than done, but when you have Josh Allen, Cole Beasley, Stefon Diggs, Emmanuel Sanders, Gabe Davis & Dawson Knox (yes, him too!), can't shy away from what YOU want to do either.
  14. He traded Bledsoe to us, and released Lawyer Milloy right before the season when we were about to play them, so who knows? I was going to also make a joke about him giving up trying to win the division at this point, but I don't want to jinx the Bills 😅
  15. Definitely not, but if THAT was what they were willing to take, you can't tell me a 2022 pick of some kind... a 5th or even 4th rounder, wouldn't have been better lol
  16. I know I'll catch flack for this, but I agree with almost everything being said by everyone in that video, with the exception of Wright's QB comparisons in the beginning. Shady's right about Allen's stats not being comparable due to 1) blowouts and 2) a top 5 run game. He's also right about it not necessarily being a "make or break" game, as it's only week 5 & there's 12 games to go. Nick is also right about KC's offense & Mahomes being able to put up 30+ usually tends to work out fine for them. They've had some losses, but they could've easily won those games too (just as the Bills could easily be 4-0). Chiefs could've also lost to the Browns, it's just how it goes. Yes, Josh's accuracy also hasn't been great. It's not as bad as it was pre-2020, but being ranked 27th with this WR group isn't good. That's ok, we're still winning. The thing he's smart to call out (at least as a Josh hater) is the fact that all these QB's have at least been able to move the ball pretty well over the Chiefs this year. 1. Baker Mayfield - 21/28 (75%), 321 yards, 0 TD's, 1 INT (97.5 rating) 2. Lamar Jackson - 18/26 (69%), 239 yards, 1 TD, 2 INT's (78.9 rating) / 107 rush yards, 2 TD's 3. Justin Herbert - 26/38 (68%), 281 yards, 4 TD's, 0 INT (125.0 rating) 4. Jalen Hurts - 32/48 (66.7%), 387 yards, 2 TD's, 0 INT (105.1 rating) / 47 rush yards These are all young guys. Two are in Allen's own draft class. He's gotta do better than what he did last year, and now's a great opportunity to show it. Last season, these were Josh's numbers - Game #1 - 14/27 (51.8%), 122 yards, 2 TD's, 1 INT (73.4 rating) / 42 rush yards Game #2 - 28/48 (58.3%), 287 yards, 2 TD's, 1 INT (80.8 rating) / 88 rush yards Whether we want to admit it or not, accuracy has been an issue. My personal belief, coupled with comments from Josh over the years, is that he gets overly hyped up for these big games. He's almost like a fan in that way, he knows what the media is saying, knows what the fans are saying, knows how much it means to everyone, etc. and plays way too tight because of it. I almost empathize with him in that way, as I can only imagine how it makes you feel hearing how you're a front-runner for MVP, you're a Super Bowl favorite, a top 5 QB in the league, compared to Patrick Mahomes, etc. and knowing the Chiefs are the AFC Super Bowl reps the past 2 years, playing on the road, and your #1 hurdle getting to the Super Bowl. Oh, and you just got that fat contract that actually pays you out MORE than Mahomes over the same period. No pressure. So yeah, definitely long-winded (as usual), but I agree with a lot of both sides of the discussion. Mahomes makes it look easy, so always making that comparison is a little unfair. He doesn't need to be better than Mahomes to win on Sunday. He needs to be better than the Chiefs defense. Another poster mentioned it, but it's like the Peyton Manning Colts vs Brady & the Pats in the 2000 - 2011 era. Everyone knew Manning was great, but they couldn't put it together against the Pats very often until 2006. Even if they had the 32nd ranked defense, they'd still give us trouble. Just hoping Allen can simmer down, focus, and play loose.
  17. Well damn, if a 6th round pick 2 years from now & $5.8 million this year was all that was needed, I wish the Bills hopped on that one!
  18. I don't know about drives that resulted in a turnover in under 3 plays, but drives that were 3 plays, fail to get a first, then punting is what he meant by a 3 & out. Man, I was thinking the exact same thing. I didn't have time to go back & check, but I remember the Colts & Manning always struggling against the Pats in both the regular & postseason. It was a big deal when they finally did beat them on the way to their Super Bowl win.
  19. Now I just wanna see the "Dead Fish" dance
  20. Guess he's kind of a running meme 😂
  21. Just watched Colin Cowherd's rankings, I can't believe the Chiefs have only had ONE 3 & out all year. That's crazy...
  22. I just want it to be close & competitive game dammit! Andy Reid just has his way with us, Allen always starts slow & then gets in his own head trying to make plays, every bounce goes the wrong way, and flags seem to screw us in the worst possible moments. I know people say there's no such things as moral victories, but I call BS. If our offense goes out there & plays like we're capable of, and we lose a close back & forth on the road, I'll still be upset, but at least I'll have hope that EVENTUALLY we can beat the Chiefs.
  23. Yeah, this just wreaks of people reading the box score/watching highlights + excess credit based on preseason predictions. The Bills were constantly being talked about as SB contenders, and now since the box score looks like we're fulfilling those predictions, we're getting a bit too much credit. Of course we're all happy to be winning (and winning comfortably), but we're not taking down world-beaters, and we still always struggle against the Chiefs. Next week will be the real test. Bills fans know this, but the media is jumping ahead. Of course man! Zach always helps the Make A Wish kids. I'll start a petition to get your wish going!
  24. It's pretty obvious that Star makes a serious impact, even if not on the stat sheet. Our defense was a top unit. He then opted out in 2020, and our defense promptly showed how average it was (or below average in run defense). Now he's back, and suddenly the D can stop the run & pressure the QB again. He's not some dominant Aaron Donald force, but he's a stabilizing presence that anchors the line, allowing the rest of the D to fall into place.
  25. Belichick isn't an average coach, that's just silly. But Brady is far & away the best to ever do it. A coach can be the smartest person in the game, but on-field execution & good decision-making matters the most. Brady excelled at that, has managed to outlast all his peers, and put so much distance between him & other QB's in terms of Super Bowls, post-season wins, and countless other records, it'll be nearly impossible for anyone to ever touch it. There's almost no way another WR touches Jerry Rice's numbers. There's actually no way another QB goes to 10 Super Bowls & wins 7. If it does somehow happen, it'll be long after I'm dead, so I'll go to my grave believing I was right anyway
