  1. Steve Tasker should play this game for the HOF voters every time someone discounts the contributions of Special Teams play... Aaron Rodgers & the Packers just lost a game where their defense held the opposing offense to 0 TD's & 2 FG's... AT HOME.
  2. Yeah, and just saw Mahomes only lost 1 playoff game, the AFCCG where he didn't get to touch the ball in OT (oh, and he played amazing in each game). Soooo not only do we have to hope Allen plays well, our defense has to play much better than any team Mahomes has faced in the playoffs thus far.
  3. We really have no room to criticize that... It's only Burrow's 2nd year. Josh was still doing that exact same thing last year. It's just something they have to learn through experience.
  4. 5 sacks on Burrow already... Bengals pass protection is either really bad, or Titans just have a much better pass rush than I remember
  5. There's always going to be people saying he's too inconsistent. Also, this Bills unit (not just Josh), hasn't won a single possession game all season. They win by double digits, or they don't win at all. At this point, his detractors are more like Peyton Manning's were before he won a Super Bowl. Few people are saying he's not a great player, only that he's in the shadow of a greater player.
  6. If that happened, Belichick will be on his knees, first in line to greet Allen at the airport 😂
  7. Here's Josh Allen talking about it. Big respect for Belichick to do something like this -
  8. In this prediction video, they say "this is setting up to be one of the coldest NFL games on record in league history," not just for the post season or for Buffalo. Good video anyway, but set link to start at the quote (01:24) -
  9. I know fans are taking this seriously, but sometimes people tend to act overly confident about their team against opponents the fear most. I'm not going to lie, the Patriots do scare me. Doesn't matter how many advantages we have on paper, where our team ranks in certain categories, them starting a rookie QB, us being at home, whatever... Belichick is one scary mother f'er to me 😂 I remember watching a "Top 10 Teams to Not Win a Super Bowl" video a few years back, and Belichick is a big reason for 2 of those teams on the list (1990 Bills at #3 & the 2001 Rams at #6). I see a lot of similarities in that 11-5 Pats team with a young Tom Brady vs the NFL's most dominant team, 14-2 Rams with league MVP Kurt Warner compared to now... Actually, here's the video (starting at 13:46): TL;DR - Belichick does scare me, I'll admit it. Even against teams that should absolutely destroy them, he finds ways to negate the disadvantages & fluster superior opposition. If you look back at how insane that Rams team was (and how vulnerable that Pats team was), it mirrors a lot of the talk & comparisons to now.
  10. Does #4 special teams include punting? Haak seems like he wants to kill our field position lately...
  11. I know this is unrelated to the Bills, but Nick Wright's take on the Steelers & Chiefs is exactly why I think I'm starting to warm up to the guy... He says such idiotic nonsense that he knows makes him look biased as hell, knows it sets him up for huge mockery if he's wrong, and still just keeps it going. Now he's claiming the Chiefs playing the Steelers is better than having the 1st round BYE, as it's better to get some cardio on the weekends. Claiming they should rest Kelce & Hill until their "real" playoffs start in 9 days 😂 Oh, and then Big Ben happened to say publicly that the Steelers "don't have a chance," so of course his take on that just got even dumber... For one of the only times in my life, I'm desperately rooting for the Steelers this weekend. It'll be good to see the Chiefs KO'd early, but way more hilarious just to see the complete dismay on Nick Wright's face after all he said.
  12. Technically, yes. The third option would be Allen hasn't been as effective in getting him the ball. Whether it's due to opposing teams utilizing more creative schemes to confuse him, him locking on to his first option & not reading the field, being less accurate overall, not taking advantage of available opportunities as well as he did last year, etc... or any combination of things. Just saying, technically there is a 3rd option, as Cole could be open all game on every play, yet can't control when the ball is thrown to him (or how well it's thrown to him). Not saying that's the case, just a potential 3rd factor.
  13. 🤣 I just posted this in another thread! For once, I'm not really mad or even irritated by what he said. Also, later in the video Wildes directly tells him if the Pats don't win, he thinks the Bills will once again crap on Nick's predictions & make it to the Super Bowl. I kinda think I'm warming to Nick's obvious bias & overly confident favoritism. So many of these "experts" unsuccessfully pretend to be neutral & take themselves way too seriously. Nick just goes full *redacted* sometimes, & I can now enjoy it in small doses.
  14. As happy as I was in that moment, the fact Brady still has SEVEN freaking rings, yet that wasn't one of them actually bothers me 😂 People around here like to think back to the Bills vs Giants SB & wonder "How did Hostetler miraculously hold onto that ball?! If only it was a fumble recovery for a TD instead of a Safety, Bills win." In the same way, every time I see that absolute prayer of a play from SB XLII... I think "what absolute stupid luck, wow!" Eli somehow escapes from the literal clutches of several hands, evading near-certain sacks, then chunks it up 40 yards to Tyree (a relative "no-name" guy) who catches it while completely covered WITH THE SIDE OF HIS HELMET & ONE HAND! All with like 1 min left... And if that wasn't crazy enough, they proceed to score a TD on 4th & 11 to seal it. I know, nobody here is going to cry for the Pats or Brady. My feelings are probably more in regards to the Giants anyway. Never liked them in the first place, always thought they were the inferior team, had direct intervention from God himself, & now they're iconic for sending a bunch of 19-0 shirts to poor kids in Africa. Blegh.
  15. You know what doesn't get mentioned enough, how the cold & wind affects receivers specifically. Even with gloves/handwarmers, their hands get super cold & likely lose some feeling. Then you have a QB like Allen thinking "gotta rip this pass to make sure the wind doesn't carry it" throwing it to you, and BAM! The first time those frozen hands feel anything is like your fingers getting slammed in a car door! Especially in games where there's long gaps between targets, that sensation of the ball lasered into your hands must really shock the senses. I only bring it up because Diggs has now had 2 very notable drops in our last 2 freezing weather games, when prior to that he had zero since being with the Bills? Feel bad for them in those situations, because I can only imagine how tough it is.
  16. I know this was just a joke, but at this point, Allen has dropped so many "hints" about his play in crappy weather (or his comfort level just handling the ball), that he may as well be begging for one! Would the quarter billion dollars the Bills spent on Allen's extension be enough to trade for a simple, fixed roof? lol
  17. Just not the Cold Front... Been there, done that.
  18. I actually watched Nick Wright's "NFL Tiers" segment this week, and honestly I agree with him for once. He didn't mention the weather, but he put the Bills & Chargers in the "Live & Die by their QB" tier, & brought up how he could see them in the Super Bowl if he's being honest, but the QB play being so unpredictable has those 2 in that tier. Also refers to JA as "Magic Mountain Josh Allen." On the flipside, Kevin Wildes says the Pats are the best shot at stopping the Bills, otherwise he sees them beating Nick for another year in a row & going to the SB 😂
  19. Why does Aaron Rodgers just look like...well, just Aaron Rodgers? lol Everyone else kind of resembles some pro wrestler, Rodgers just looks confused how he stumbled into the picture
  20. Since they're a dome team & would have to travel across the country, I also want to see the Chargers. Obviously, bad weather affects us too, but you'd think the LA team would find it a tougher obstacle than the Patriots.
  21. Concession stand experience doesn't really count... And I doubt UPS driver pays more than an NFL salary, even if there's a supposed "labor shortage."
  22. I'd rather play the Chargers, but not because the Pats are "scary" or anything. Considering how the weather has been at home, the Pats would have less trouble with it than an indoor team like LA. Also, being forced to travel across country to play in that weather would HOPEFULLY slow them down more than our own offense.
  23. I'm more annoyed that the extra game & expanded playoffs came after our 17 year drought... Now I'm just annoyed there's no bye awarded to the #2 seed in each conference. Fine with the extra regular season game overall though. Final week of the season was fun.
  24. One good catch.... penalty, trip, incompletion. Longest quarter ever with all these incompletions & drops...
  25. Well that penalty really sucks...
