Not sure how feasible it would be, but I'd take him over any of the options being thrown around. Considering the QBs he's had throwing to him, his numbers are even more impressive. Reminds me of what Eric Moulds was able to do despite the inconsistency surrounding him.

When You Lose to the Chiefs (Tom Grossi Comedy Video)

Just came here to see if anyone posted yet... This is a scarily accurate portrayal of being a Bills fan. At least for me. -
Allen needs to mentally overpower Mahomes
BigDingus replied to Thrivefourfive's topic in The Stadium Wall
I don't think mental fortitude is an issue when it comes to the Chiefs. Josh definitely has moments throughout the regular season that show he lets the pressure get to him, but against the Chiefs he's always game. But as much as the media & fans want to make it a QB v QB conversation, there's a million other factors outside of Allen's control that can derail our Super Bowl chances. I believe if we had a mostly healthy defense, the Bills beat the Chiefs in the divisional round this year 100%. This entire season, the Chiefs lost EVERY game where the opponent put up 21 or more points in regulation.... until the divisional round. That's because their offense was just "pretty good," instead of elite, and if you could overcome their defense, you win. Unfortunately our patchwork defense made their offense look elite again... Not forcing a single punt until 2 mins left in the game. Sure, they got a stop at the end & lucked out with a fumble in the end-zone, but otherwise the Chiefs offense had it so easy, they averaged over 0.5 points per offensive play! We were at home, had a 15 minute ToP advantage, ran 30 more plays, had zero turnovers, and still lost. Who knows... maybe the game plan would've looked a lot different if the coaching staff had any confidence the defense could get stops. Maybe we would've passed a lot more, maybe not. Either way, Josh's mental hurdle is controlling the turnovers & being smarter during the regular season. Come playoff time, he's USUALLY more composed. I know the ultimate goal is a Super Bowl win, but look at how difficult it is for many QBs to even win a playoff game. Josh has won at least 1 every year for 4 straight seasons. -
Why do we even report on gun violence anymore? Deaths from shootings are more common than motor vehicle deaths in the US at this point, so might as well start treating it the same. Not like anybody cares enough to try & make it better, so "thoughts & prayers" and stuff...

But both were against the best team of this era/newly crowned dynasty... And with Jimmy G and Brock Purdy at QB. I might be in the minority, but I'd take Josh Allen paired with Shanan over the Chiefs almost every time! Also, if we just made it to a SB, that means we already got past the Chiefs. In that scenario, I'd definitely favor the Bills to win regardless of opponent! 😁

I'd sooner believe Tom Brady will come out of retirement to play RB for the Jets next year... My unpopular opinion: Josh Allen IS a turnover machine... He's just good enough to make up for it.

Sounds smart, but you're also giving up the chance to just close the game right away. You get first crack at finishing the game, and the odds say that the team with possession first wins more often.

Its Pretty Obvious why the Chiefs win every year
BigDingus replied to gonzo1105's topic in The Stadium Wall
Remember when we traded down & gave the Chiefs Mahomes? Should've just traded with the Jets or something, that way you know he'd never amount to anything... -

BigDingus replied to gonzo1105's topic in The Stadium Wall
Well yeah, it should've been clear for a long time he's the best QB in the league. "Down year" or not, he was still a 2x SB winner/2 x MVP. Now he's a 3x SB winner out of 4x SB appearances (in only 6 years). But just as the Bucs & Rams showed everyone, you don't have to have the BEST QB in the league. Just get into the postseason & play your best football at the end of the year. Oh, and having a top 5 QB also helps... but they don't need to be #1 in the league! 😅 -
Sexy Rexy interviewed for Cowboys DC position
BigDingus replied to BuffaloBill's topic in The Stadium Wall
Everyone remembers the clown show when he's a HC, but would be really be so bad as a DC? Genuinely asking, I don't remember. -
Hot Mic Baker Mayfield returning to Bucs
BigDingus replied to BaaadThingsMan's topic in The Stadium Wall
Someone probably answered it already, but the "treating him like crap" comes from how they were so willing to toss him aside after one down year... A year in which he was playing through significant injury under pressure to keep his job. Everyone knew Joe Burrow was hurt his first few games this year, so he was cut some slack for his poor performances until he recovered. Baker was treated the opposite. And how was he rewarded for that effort? Abandoned for a sex-offender in all but name, and someone who the Browns gave a monster guaranteed contract to... It just rubbed a lot of people the wrong way. -
Any Chance of Playing Some 4- 3 Next Year?
BigDingus replied to st pete gogolak's topic in The Stadium Wall
Agree, but his injury also happened earlier in the season than the other 2, so maybe we'll get lucky? -
He's at way better than "Brady levels" in terms of stats, All-Pros & MVPs (at this point in their careers), but behind in Super Bowl wins. More talented than Brady was, more athletic than Brady was, but there's zero chance he ever touches 7 x Super Bowl wins.

I dunno, when the D was healthy I thought McDermott did a good job. I may be in the minority, but in that rough stretch leading up to Dorsey's firing, I thought the D was the main reason we stayed in a quite a few games. Offense just couldn't get out of their own way, and basically made the D keep the game close until they finally started scoring points in the 4th qtr. Then again, they lost Milano & White and didn't get Douglas until the trade deadline, and were just up & down afterwards. Pats game was a dud though, so McD deserves all the s*** for that.
-
Well yeah, mostly. Coaching plays a role, but talent & execution on the field is a bigger factor. There were plenty of times, even under Dorsey, where fans were pissed about playcalling on a drive.... But when a play is there & you got the look that was wanted, it's not on the OC if the receiver drops a pass that hits them in the hands. Maybe it's a play that doesn't even get a chance to develop, as a linemen just whiffs on a block & is instantly in the backfield. That's execution & talent. Then again, the HC has major input in what talent we do have. So even if it's not coaching, the coach (and FO) deserves some blame for the lack of talent.
-
Poor guy... If the defense does well, he's just McDermott's puppet. If the defense under performs, he's the next scapegoat to protect McDermott. I like the promotion, just doubt he'll get fair credit for what he puts into it.

Leslie Frazier interviewing for Dolphins DC
BigDingus replied to Buffalo_Stampede's topic in The Stadium Wall
That'll make the Dolphins much better, especially against the Bills. Hope they don't hire him 😅 -
Call me a loser then, I don't care. Josh isn't a "loser," and that's my point. If you've listened to any Bills talk after the Chiefs loss, all you hear is people mocking Allen as "Mahomes' son." And the amount of times I've read & heard "Mahomes v Allen isn't the next Brady v Manning, that's Brady v Rivers.... the real rivalry is Mahomes v Lamar!" Yeah, well what now? The guy that's 2-4 in the playoffs and a 2 x MVP with a healthy team... that's the "REAL" 2nd best QB in the league? Yeah right. I'd rather have Mahomes win every playoff game until the Bills have a shot at him again. Note, I said PLAYOFF, not post season. Just like I was rooting for a Bucs vs Bills Super Bowl in 2021 so the Bills could topple Brady, I want them to be the ones to take out the Chiefs.
-
At least he wants to run the ball, so I'm excited to see what he schemes up given an entire off-season. Hopefully we target some speedy WRs & grab some more O-linemen. Oh, and maybe bring in a kicker or two just to be thorough. Perhaps hit up some of those YouTube kickers that nail shots 70 yards out, but only in perfect conditions & street clothes 😂

Interesting stat I saw in regards to regular season losses
BigDingus replied to warrior9's topic in The Stadium Wall
Yeah, but context matters. Losing a 1 point lead with plenty of time left isn't some crazy collapse, especially in a game where the guy you're seemingly defending threw 2 INTs & added a fumble. Or when you score 3 points in a half, turn it over multiple times, and wait until 2 minutes left in the 4th quarter to finally eek ahead (against a terrible team), it's not quite the defensive meltdown it sounds like. It'd be like saying "Josh lead a drive to send a game into OT, but the defense choked by giving up a TD in OT!"... Then seeing that was the Jets game & Allen had 4 turnovers. Context matters, and even the 4 losses you're talking about were TEAM chokes, Allen included. -
Greg Cosell - “I don’t think they have a number 1 WR”
BigDingus replied to Buffalo_Stampede's topic in The Stadium Wall
Mike Evans is the same age as Diggs, and he's still putting up numbers no matter who's behind center. I think Diggs can definitely be a number 1 still, it's just a matter of scheming & play calling (as well as improving the other talent at WR), along with commitment to stay with this organization. -
Makes you wonder what difference Deandre Hopkins could've made on this team, or what we could've done with that Von Miller money. I'm not saying going after Von was bad, especially at a time when we saw how critical it was to have a strong pass rush. But had our picks in the draft panned out, there wouldn't have been a need to pay a monster contract to a veteran on the downside of his career. Even when this defense was ranked as high as it was, did people ever feel it was as game-changing or dominant as our defense was, for example, under Schwartz in 2014? I believe McDermott is a very capable defensive-minded coach, but the Bills are still missing something there. Offensive line should still be a huge priority imo. Especially if the Bills plan to be a balanced unit that prioritizes running the ball, they'll need to keep investing in the line. Speed at WR is a must, so I'm glad he mentioned that. It's unlikely we find the next Tyreek Hill, but even a younger John Brown-type would be great. Overall, they need to get younger at many levels. We know both of our amazing safeties are falling behind. But offense is still the priority to me. We've seen what a top ranked defense gets us, but it never amounts to much against top QBs. So instead let's support our own top QB & give him the best chance to succeed by outscoring opponents.
