First off, he's a guy that commands franchise tag money already and isn't happy with it, so imagine how much we'd have to spend to lock him up long term. Second, neither back wants to not start. Even if they were to get even carries, only one would be considered the starter. Third, unless we are planning to draft and or sign in free agency some amazing O-line talent, it wouldn't be worth the investment. And locking up multiple backs with big money could be awful (see Philadelphia a few years ago...and they had a GREAT line).

Bon Jovi on Howard Stern Talking Buffalo Bills
BigDingus replied to K D's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Here's the thing, it doesn't matter if he was never going to move the team. His offer for the team was dwarfed by what the Pegula's offered, therefore he lost. Him and Trump both bid less than $1 billion, while the Pegula's went $1.4 billion. Money talks, and that was the deciding factor. -
Bingo. No matter how much POTENTIAL he has, the risk is too high. If they could sign him to compete while also having a real contingency plan in case of injury, sure. But paying big money and signing him as the unquestionable starter is an absolute NO.

Did you really even ask "why not Sam Bradford?" There's one OBVIOUS reason, and nobody has to explain it to you at all. Injuries. That's it. Without discussing a single other aspect of his career, INJURIES are the #1 answer to "why not?" - 2011: INJURED Missed 6 games - 2013: INJURED Missed 9 games - 2015: INJURED Missed 2 games - 2017: INJURED Missed 14 games He's only played a full season twice in 7 years. Not a good track record.

Bradford will be the Available Viking QB
BigDingus replied to 1st Ammendment NoMas's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Mayfield & Bradford, two 1st round guys from OU as our QB's...that'd be interesting. -
I mean, I'm not going to argue with the content of your post...but the randomness of the timing is weird... You posted this as if he just played a game or made some horrible play. Why are you posting this now when there are plenty of threads about TT & how bad he is?

Down to Four - Which Team Are You Rooting For and Why?
BigDingus replied to Gugny's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Anyone but the Pats. The other 3 teams have never won a SB before, so it'd be cool to see. -
At what point do we say Antonio Brown is the GOAT?
BigDingus replied to Process's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Jerry Rice is easily the GOAT. There's just no question in my mind. The only debate is who is number 2 at this point. -
Keenum is definitely staying put now.
-
That's awesome! So happy for the Vikings, their fans, and Keenum.

channel 2- Buffalo comments re alleged Incognito...

I just don't get how none of his black teammates heard it or are angry with him. If he said something actually racist, don't you think they'd care or speak up? -
Here is what I know about Bill's Insiders...
BigDingus replied to Jamie Muellers Ghost's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
That's what I'd like to know. What specific leak was their responsibility? -
He very well could, and then there's a 0% chance they let him go. Just taking them to the NFC Championship game already makes it virtually impossible to obtain him, but a SB? Yeah, no shot at him then.

I'll be first to ask: Would you fire Mike Tomlin?
BigDingus replied to Ennjay's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Hell no! How is that even a question? -
If he wins this game, he's not a possibility for the Bills. The Vikings would be foolish to let him go after leading them to the NFC Championship game. Now if he completely collapses & loses them the game, sure, we might have a shot.
-
It'd just be nice to see the Bills be able to win a game like this. When the defense isn't able to make stop after stop, and the opposing offense is putting up points, you'd like to see your own offense go out and carry the load. The Bills can't do that.

Mahomes the next Blaine Gabbert ?
BigDingus replied to ndirish1978's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Here's a crazy idea - Is Patrick Mahomes the next Patrick Mahomes?! My gut says yes, but my other gut says no...BUT WHO DO I BELIEVE?! -
That's highly debatable. We could've traded players (we had them), and picks from the current/future drafts. Besides the year after Watkins, we've had 1st round picks...we've had 2nd round picks. And again, some of those QB's WE PASSED ON. We had the opportunity to draft them and chose not to, several times. If you want to staunchly defend that position, I'll provide what picks we had, who we chose, and what assets we had both pick-wise and personnel wise to argue the opposite.

Arden Key- Do we roll the dice on him?
BigDingus replied to NewEra's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Sounds like Aaron Maybin weight...but I don't know much about the guy either. -
QB's worth trading up for that weren't mediocre that he could've tried to trade up for or just fall into his lap when he was GM? Teddy Bridgewater, Derek Carr, Jimmy Garoppolo, AJ McCarron (maybe), Jameis Winston (maybe), Marcus Mariota (maybe), Jared Goff, Carson Wentz, Dak Prescott, Patrick Mahomes (maybe), Deshaun Watson... Again, some of those we passed on (several times), some we would've had to trade up for, but those are all guys that could've been targeted had he wanted to that he didn't go after. Yes, if people look back at predictions leading into the 2015 season, people all said "just a QB away" from being a viable contender in the AFC playoff picture. We were the "hot" pick by many people, and with Rex supposedly being a defensive guru, the expectations were sky-high that we'd field a loaded team absent of a QB.
