  1. You think that was his worst play? That's hilarious. It was the most recognizably bad play considering what it potentially cost us, but he wasn't "good" all game. There's a reason he struggles to hit 175 yards passing per game. Plays like that are a HUGE factor in that. When you don't allow your receivers to ever get YAC, you will always have low passing numbers. That play alone nearly cost us the game. The Bills won in SPITE of Tyrod thanks to the defense....just like they have all year. And don't even try to throw out Peterman. Peterman being awful and Tyrod being bad aren't mutually exclusive. They're not good NFL QB's, and it has nothing to do with their relation to each other.
  2. **PROOF** Again, it's the DEFENSE that is responsible for our wins this season. They win IN SPITE of Tyrod. The offense tried their best to lose this game, the coaches don't trust Tyrod worth a crap, and the DEFENSE came through (as they did in our 5 previous wins). Also, with a competent QB this team will be deadly. Our O-line played like champs today. Tyrod had all day to throw.
  3. I swear, if one person blames the defense for this game turning out poorly I'll be furious. The defense has done EVERYTHING.
  4. Our coaches have no faith in Tyrod. The play calling shows it. He's had fantastic pass protection all day, and they are going out of their way to not let him throw the ball.
  5. Yup, looks like we're just going to have to hope our defense has one more stop in them, cuz this offense isn't doing jack.
  6. Too early to celebrate. There's too much time left, and with the way the offense has been playing there's still time to go 3 & out and give the Chiefs the ball back. Our coaches will probably recognize this, play ultra conservative, then punt. I really, REALLY hope I'm wrong. I'll take an ugly win any day.
  7. Tyrod throws like that all the time. This is what separates 150 yard passers from 300 yard passers (that and not relying on dump passes). If you can throw good passes out in front of your receivers so that they have a CHANCE to make yards after the catch, you win games & put up numbers. When a receiver simply being able to catch your crap passes is a 'win' you're never going to get anywhere.
  8. Taylor, grasping defeat from the jaws of victory with his crap passes. O'leary was wide open on ALL sides, and Taylor had all freaking day to pass...great protection, no pressure. Of course he throws a pass at O'leary's feet. Then we again lose yards on 3rd down. When you see a guy standing right in front of the guy you're going to pitch it to, DON'T PITCH THE BALL. Man...this offense is practically begging the Chiefs to win the game.
  9. This actually looks reminiscent of many recent Chiefs vs Bills games. In most of them, the Bills nurse a lead through most of the game only to come up short at the end. 2015: Lost 22-30 2014: Lost 13-17 2013: Lost 13-23 One game we were winning, one tied, and one down by 2 at the start of the 4th quarter.
  10. But I'm sure if the defense gives up a TD we'll have people whining they lost us the game. 3 & outs do matter... we're losing the field position battle because of it. Expecting Tyrod to drive us 90 yards is way too much of him.
  11. Then we better hope McCoy breaks a long run, because relying on a 2nd TD pass from Tyrod in the same game requires quite a LOT to go right.
  12. The Bills defense has once again gifted the team another 3 & out. Will the offense actually do something this time besides go backwards?
  13. And man, I'm sure the Bills roster was so stacked top to bottom that we couldn't use a player like Ragland anywhere. Too many great players to fit one more. 3 tackles for losses already? Yeah...who could want that?
  14. Gotta love how we have an opportunity to respond with a TD, being right outside the redzone, but somehow go backwards to end up in a 3rd & 21 situation We are so lucky to have such a good kicker. He really masks the complete ineptitude of this offense. If he couldn't hit 45-55 yard FG's like they're 20 yard chip shots, we'd probably not have a single win this year.
  15. If this is like the same ol' Tyrod lead Bills, they'll promptly respond with a 3 & out, probably after losing several yards on the drive overall. But hey, I'd love to be wrong.
  16. And just like that, the Chiefs are within 3. After a half where the defense crushed the Chiefs, the offense with their typical lack of urgency or killer instinct, did practically nothing with the many drives they were gifted & great starting field position.
  17. They have ran 2 designed runs for him so far (that I remember). It's a good idea, but with the way the Chiefs are lining up I'd rather us try to keep passing (unfortunately that's Tyrod's weakest point). They're leaving guys man on man quite often while only rushing 4, leaving QB spies on the outside in case Taylor runs. That provides plenty of opportunity to exploit them, but it remains to be seen if we can. Had Benjamin been healthy, this would be the perfect game for him to go nuts.
  18. One more thing worth mentioning, the O-line has been fantastic in pass protection. Tyrod has had plenty of time to pass, and on several plays has had all day to stand back there. Thankfully we have such a kicker with a howitzer for a leg so we at least come away with SOME points. Granted he missed one FG, but 95% of the time he's money from long range. On that last 56 yarder he hit the net in the back of the endzone 20 feet up in the air still. Would've been good from 65+
  19. If we win this game, people better realize that once again it's because of our defense. The 5 wins we had up until this point, was again defense. They've held the Chiefs to ONE 1st down, and 57 total yards to go along with 5 straight 3 & outs. That's incredible. I'm not one that thinks Peterman is better than Taylor, but it's no wonder the coaching staff was looking for something different at the QB position considering we struggle to do anything offensively even with the boatload of opportunities.
  20. The defense hasn't allowed a single first down all game, yet we're only up 10-0. This is why we lose to teams that are even semi-competitive. We nurse tiny leads, do nothing with the opportunities given, and even with great field position all game the offense crawls along. The Bills defense has been the reason we've won 5 games this year, because they gifted the offense turnover after turnover, along with plenty of stops. Once again Tyrod & the offense are given ample opportunity to stretch the lead & do nothing with their chances.
  21. It's a combination of depth, the Dareus trade, being on the field ALL THE TIME since the offense is pathetic, and injuries. The Saints game for instance, they were on the field for 42 minutes compared to our offense being on the field for 18. And yes, the defense couldn't stop the run, but people forget they made a couple early stops including a turnover, but were immediately sent right back on the field. Every single time. Our secondary has been hurt, Williams is old, Dareus ate up space even when he wasn't visible on the box stats, and now the Jags D has gone from really good to absolutely dominant. Think about it as if you were out there busting your ass for 5 minutes getting pounded, only to pour everything you got into making that last stop forcing a FG. Then as you're just starting to catch your breath, you're already being sent right back out there to do it all over. You can only do that so many times while seeing the score getting more and more out of reach as the offense fails to even get a 1st down. The margin for error on this team is extremely thin. Other teams can give up a TD or 2 and still believe they have a chance. Our team isn't able to overcome deficits of almost any kind, except on the rarest of occasion. Tyrod is 3-19 all time in games we go down by even a single point in the 4th quarter...so imagine being a defender down by 17 points at the start of the half, and knowing you're going to spend 85% of the remainder of the game back on the field and be asked to keep it close.
  22. Grab Cousins or Alex Smith if available, while simultaneously drafting a QB early to sit on the bench for a few years. Best to try in every way you can to get that franchise player than to be content playing wait-and-see. Hell, even when the Redskins traded the farm to move up and draft RG3, they still drafted another QB in that same draft - Kirk Cousins. So even though they hoped and wanted RG3 to be their future, they didn't just settle on being done and backing themselves into a corner. They still continued to try and improve the position, and it paid off. The Bills should be doing everything in their power to improve the potion in every possible way. If that means using a 1st round pick on a QB while also spending big money in FA for one, so be it.
  23. Owens was better at his position than pretty much every player the Bills have had get into the HOF the past 20 years with the exception of Bruce Smith. Kelly was great, but he's not even considered a top 10 QB all-time. Same with Thomas at RB and Reed a WR. Owens IS a top 10 WR all-time. He easily should've been first ballot, but he wasn't...so he deserves to get in immediately.
  24. What about Alex Smith? We should look into getting him. He's only 33 and has plenty of time left. Brees is about to be 39 in January and still playing well, just imagine if we had him when he was 33 all the way through 39. We could have that with Alex Smith.
