  1. Potential vs production. If Foles gets slapped around in NO it puts all this to sleep. If Foles takes the eagles to the NFC championship and beyond I think it's a real question to have. Regardless of opinion, the Wrs produce more under Foles and the team plays better. It's a massive if, but if Foles takes them to 2 consecutive superbowls and he is only 30 I trade Wentz. I would asked for 2 firsts and a player. Jacksonville 2 ones and Ramsey for Wentz.
  2. What's the answer to All these offenses that make their money off hitting on their scheme beaters? Creative defensive Co Ordinators who adjust their coverages week to week. McDermott is one of the better defense minds in the sports. The defense is simple but also multiple. Of all the hired coaches the one I'm most concerned about and who I think will be the best of the bunch is Kris Richards in Miami. He is another modern defensive coach who has a simple scheme but is team specific.
  3. If you are unable to win in college how are you going to win in the NFL? He has a good offense, but besides playcalling what does he bring to the table? Its the long of longshots. Sean McVay was in the NFL for 10 years before getting the Rams gig. I prefer McDermott to all these guys.
  4. I think Hollywood Brown becomes the top wr and possible top 10 pick. Tyreek Hill, Tarik Cohen, Deshaun Jackson all examples of small guys playing well. Imo an elite deep threat is a must with Allen at Qb. With all the protection granted to Wrs being 170-190 is not terrible if you are a fluid athlete with elite acceleration.
  5. They cant just throw money around. If a true impact player is on the market they have the ability to pay if needed. I expect the majority of the FA to be 3 to 4 years in the league that either under performed based off their potential or ones who look like over achievers based off system and percieved talent level. Alot of teams have money. Be aggressive for want you want. There is a fine line between Jeff Lowrey and Dan Snyder.
  6. The Jacksonville game. At this point Jacksonville had a sliver of hope. Their defense was at full strength. Allen missed the previous month and half. Allen was the most athletic player on the field vs the NFL's freakiest defense. The touchdown to Foster where Allen was hit on three sides and used a glitched in the Metrix to get it 50 yards down feild in the air stands out most as well.
  7. That style of Wr is needed with Allen. It's something the team is lacking. The question is can Willams make contested catches in the NFL. Allen throws a very good back shoulder fade, there is not a guy currently on the team who can routinely catch it. Also, pretty sure I know who the summer board darling is going to be.
  8. Talent at Rb, elite speed, and a athletic mismatch outside.
  9. A talented kid who humbles himself and gets a work ethic can become something special. Now this changes nothing of my offseason plans. Still bring in 2 vets in their mid 20's and draft 1 or 2.
  10. Because the Ravens made the playoffs. Many media members look at wins and that's it. Watching Jackson face this defense is a reminder of what the Bills were with Taylor. Good football team but have to win one way. Run the ball successfully, play lights out defense. Without either the Bill's and now Ravens cant win.
  11. Two 2's and I would consider it. In today's NFL I think a Wr can play longer. Get a solid 3 to 4 years isnt unrealistic.
  12. If Allen is the Qb is the outcome different? I think so. That's what gets me excited for next year. Improve the Oline and skill positions and Buffalo could be a legit contender.
  13. Going into year three, he has cleaned house, created a defense, and imo found a Qb. Year 3 he will for his first time have an expectation of winning. Point to Chicago and LAR as jumps the team needs to make. An improved offense and steady defense should be the best roster and team McDermott has had here.
  14. I'm sure its poor. A state of the art facility and money should change that.
  15. Yes but who they bring in and who they keep will be key. Every year teams throw money at lineman, doesnt always work out.
  16. Pretty obvious to me. When listening to people talking about Allen, the first question needs to be how many Bills games has he watched? The vast majority of media heads that watch as many games as they can come away glowing of Allen. Allen is the best Qb Buffalo has had in 20 years. How they attack this off season will determine the next 5 years.
  17. Imo you find a veteran possession Wr like William's, and you draft a deep threat.
  18. Stability in the Qb room. Barkley pretty solid back up. Possible spot starter if Allen goes down. Anderson is a player coach/ mentor. Tall guy, strong arm, so will have positive insight. Makes alot of sense all the way around. After Jets game team has confidence in Barkley. Because of Allen's style of play he could get an extended stretch of playing something I'm sure he wants.
  19. When I watch them, Metcalf consistently has seperation and Brown is making contested catches. That is a skill that Brown possesses but he will struggle in the NFL with his lack of separation imo. It may be a lazy comparison but I see him having alot of issues that plagues Treadwells career to this point.
  20. I could see it if they go wr 1st or 2nd than Campbell in the 3rd. Depending how he test he may move into the first or second. But I agree he is a taller, faster, less twitchy Percy Harvin. Buffalo needs a pure Wr, but Buffalo also needs explosive players on offense. Campbell running those jet motions causes more attention then Mckenzie.
  21. There are a finite amount of people who understand and can coach football throwing mechanics for NFL QBs. Due to CBA rules NFL teams dont have the time to do it. The Patriots, model franchise in every aspect of coaching, and organization structure do not do it. It's on Allen to improve his mechanics. Keeping with Palmer would make alot of sense.
  22. I tend to agree. Spend mostly on Oline in FA. Elite deep threats rarely reach the open market. Imo by 9 the elite defenders will be gone. I understand it's a deep dline class but the 4th or 3rd DT or 4th or 3rd end will not be a tier above the top Wrs. Who is the biggest impact player? That's who the pick should be. If its Cb, DT, DE, WR, OL if they are a significant upgrade is all that matters to me. If Metcalf or Brown are 4.4 or under the move ahead of the line for me at 9. A premier deep threat opposite Foster puts defenses in real trouble. Go points. With the state of the roster even mid tier FA will provide significant upgrades. Finding the right mid tier FA will be key.
  23. If a Blue chip defender is available you take him. Chicago last year with Roquan Smith is a perfect example. If all that's left is one of the Clemson guys I would look offense or trade down. I wont be surprised if a Wr or 2 move up the draft the closer it comes. Wr is a harder position to scout so imo draftnicks rate them lower.
  24. There will be a few wrs drafted in the first rd. I think with certain qualifiers met Brown will go high. Tyreek Hill will allow a team to go Brown if he is sub 4.4. Metcalf seems to have sneak speed and looks super fluid. Either will be in consideration.
  25. He is not a thumper but in today's NFL you wouldn't want him to be. He is so young, when he becomes physically mature POA will not be an issue. Proper technique and a professional offseason you will see a leap in his play. He is only 20.
