  1. So clearing cap space for a FA Qb or adding capital for a a draft day trade.
  2. These are not bridge QBs these are all glorified babysitters for the young starting qb. They would be here to help him not compete. They would only play barring injury.
  3. Little "buzz" to me is that he has enough red flags that makes him risky for a team to trade up for him. I think teams would draft him if he slid but the cost of moving into the top 5 or top 10 is so high that doing so for Mayfield would be too much of a gamble.
  4. If they traded up for Rosen I think a back up like Matt Moore would make alot of sense. Rosen imo is the most pro ready QB. He would come in a be the starter. Moore is a career back up and would be a more willing player coach than other Qbs brought in to compete for the job.
  5. Yes. They have to get a Franchise Qb. Something every GM Headcoach combo has not done since Bledsoe.
  6. Darnold and Rosen both look like successfull NFL Qbs. I would try to get one of them.
  7. The Bills are the dark horse of FA and for the draft. They have the ammo to make a splash move in either area. Buffalo has enough money from Pegula and enough cap space to make a run after any player they choose. Clearing Taylor off the books points to them going hard at both area. I expect Buffalo to be a sleeper for Cousin. Fit as well as money are major concerns for him. The Bills are the best situation besides Minnestota looking at coaching, organization and recent success. Then draft day depending on what happened in FA they could move to any position infront of them. I expect Buffalo to bring in a Vet and draft a Qb. How much is spent in FA determines how much draft capital will need to be spent.
  8. Just to make everybodys head explode. Sign Cutler and draft Rosen.
  9. I believe the rumors and rumbling of Buffalo having an eye for a Qb and are willing to go them is heightened by this move. The only other option would be trading for Luck or signing Cousins. I think they thought Taylor was a competent NFL starter. In the playoff game his limitations were on full display but he did get them there. Getting rid of Taylor for picks to me was always the plan. I also feel that they would not pull the trigger unless they were very confident they will land an upgrade over him.
  10. Sign Keenum or Bradford and keep all the picks needed to move up for a QB in the draft. Trading for Foles would mean you are committing long term to him. I dont see how you trade for Foles and trade for a rookie QB. One of the top guys will not last til 21. With the way Foles performed on the filed for much of his career he looks like a sytem QB to me. I would not invest alot into him long term. He is fools gold.
  11. My father is a Browns fan. I think the Browns are actually in a position now to compete. Because Taylor helps Cleveland that does not mean it was a poor trade. It most likley provides the ammo needed to get into the top 5 for a qb. If the Qb Buffalo desires does not go 1 i could see them trading with NYG.
  12. If he is Ej yes. If he is Matt Ryan or Eli Manning thats a bargin.
  13. A month ago I was highest on Allen. Now I am ok with any of the top 5. To me I would rank it. Rosen, Darnold, Allen, Mayfiled and Jackson. Rosen to me looks like a young Eli or Matt Ryan. I dont think he will blow people away in shorts but week 1 he will have the ability to have the most success. I like Darnold and Allen for their size and arm strength. Both have the potential to be big Ben. My biggest concern with Mayfiled is maturity and readiness to be a starting qb in the NFL. If Buffalo was a warmer city or they are building a dome I would rank Mayfiled higher. Jackson intrigues me alot and he is much better passer than he gets credit being. Ironiclly, I could see him slide end up on a good team and win rookie of the year.
  14. I think glenn would be apart of it and you could keep 53 or 56. I believe it is a possibility. I am surprised Taylor was traded without anyone else on the roster. I think they either have a trade working or have a wink and nod agreement in place with a FA.
  15. Why? Because he made a persona that got him paid? He is an incredibly smart guy and I would like the bravado and pedigree he would bring. Behind closed door and away from cameras he is most likely a better guy and teammate than what appears on ESPN. Buffalo doesn't have a ton of space but would could easily afford Sherman on a 2 year deal for around the money they offered Gilmore. If it works out the way everyone would want he would be able to cash in one more time if healthy in 2 years.
  16. Seems like a way of saving face among there fan base. it is obvious to me that they are going to start putting money into the offense and rebuild the defense through the draft. He wants to be paid like he was and I expect a team will do that on a short term deal. If I am Buffalo I would go hard at him. 2 year deal 23 mil around there. He would give Buffalo the best secondary in football. White and Sherman with davis in the slot with poyer and Hyde at Saftey. Sign a Dt and draft a QB and linebaker and Buffalo is in business. I dont expect Sherman to sign here but we would fit his play style and he could do what he always has done here. That is how you go after Brady and NE get dudes who can cover and make plays.
  17. It would be good if Buffalo actually did that for a change. i could see Buffalo signing a DT and that is pretty much it. The second wave of signings and UDFA will be the majority of moves Imo.
  18. If they land on a Qb in this draft and he doesnt go 1 I think Buffalo would go hard at 2. Glenn 21, 22 and 53 could be enough. With the second round pick they could still land a linebaker. The next 2 months will very interesting and also exciting. Teams are starting to trade in the NFL more often. I could see Buffalo looking at Rosen, than Jackson, than Rudoplh. Early for Rosen, 10 to 12 for Jackson stay put or a slight move up for Rudoplh.
  19. Its very simple, to me. Now is it 100% racist? No it is not. Analysts and talking heads talk out of both sides of their mouth. Allen has potential and Jackson is a project. Jackson played in a more advanced offense, played tougher competition and still completed a higher % of his passes than Allen. With Allen, everyone who is a supporter of his points to the level of play surrounding him as a reason for his low completion %. Now this is where is gets interesting, when you adjust completion % for drops Allen only gets a few % point bump and Jackson gets a 10% bump. Jackson's adjusted completion % is second among the top QBs with Mayfield being first. On film you can see why a few of Jackson's balls sail. His feet get too close together. With proper balance he throws with very good accuracy. I dont really see how some can overlook some of Allen's weakness for his strength and with Jackson overlook his strengths to concentrate on his weaknesses. That is point of what they are talking about.
  20. If he can recover from his injury he would be a massive upgrade for the secondary. He is outspoken but he is also incredibly smart. I think he would give Buffalo a bit of swagger they have not had in years. McDermott saw what a good big corner could do for a defense when he had Norman. I would be in favor of the move and fits the scheme Buffalo plays.
  21. Marrone. Results and accountability. Rex to me would run a buddy system. Your "his" guy you can do whatever you are not you carry the slack his guy dropped.
  22. I would target rosen and i would try to move up and get him to the highest spot. Takes 2 to play so if the top teams dont want to draft in 20s they may just have to hope there giy falls enough. Imo ideally you move to the bottom of the top 10 with san fran. Keep 22 and get a linebaker as well.
  23. In todays news cycle and click baiting I completely understand the question. Who talks to the press? Who keeps things in house? I think its a fair question to ask when every players agent is giving them cliche answers.
  24. I like it. Low risk high upside. Not just a camp guy. Has the physical talent to catch on. Agree. They need bodies at DE, RB, and CB right now. Ivory and Davis have shown success in the league, but are old and coming off poor years. The DE has been a workout warrior but cant get on the field. He has the measurables but needs to makes plays. I think best case he is this years yarbourough, worst case he gets cut.
