  1. Go .500 plus. I would personally like to see a solid 4 quarters of offense game sprinkled in.
  2. Highly unlikely imo. Damaged goods when brought in.
  3. The 2 passes to Benjamin were his best of the season. They score on that drive and they win the game with Allen at Qb imo. His performance vs Minnestoa wasnt bad either. Yeah Marriota was worst and Buffalo beat a playoff team. Barkley completed 15 passes, 2 dropped interceptions, obviously the future lol.
  4. He is simply a better player. He is more accurate, more athletic, and a better arm. Allen is the leader of the offense. Against a tough aggressive defense Allen will have to make some wow plays for Buffalo to stay in the game. His game vs Minnestoa and Houston are easily forgotten.
  5. I understand what you are saying. You play small they will run power all day. Defense would much rather give up a 70 yard bomb vs 10 runs for 70 yards and that same td. Both lines and backs would do that vs small fronts.
  6. That's a wrong observation. If Kc or La went zone and played 1 or 0 Lbs. Hunt and Gurley would have ran for 200 yards. They are both well balanced and dictate personal to the defense. No different than the 90's Bill's, greatest show on turf Rams. The difference is the rules have changed. No contact down the feild. No real ability to hit wrs in the air. However, no matter the era what Reid and Mcvay have in terms of talent and play calling would be dynamic anywhere.
  7. What advantage does Barkley have at Quarterback over Allen? None. Who is the more talented player? Allen. Allen gives the 2018 Buffalo Bill's the best chance at winning. Getting Allen on the field for development is important but when he is the best player as well, not playing him is lunacy. Do different than the Peterman dumpster fire over the summer. Play the more talented guy. Period.
  8. I must have missed Mariota sitting 5 weeks to have it heal.
  9. Yes. And Minnesota was more impressive than than the Jets. It is like most think Allen's play was the reason they lost to the Ravens, Colts, Patriots, and Bears. Allen made his best 2 throws of the season right before getting injured vs the Texans. He gives Buffalo a better chance at beating Jacksonville.
  10. The bottom of the AFC is trash. Allen puts a few wins together here Buffalo could have an interesting holiday season.
  11. Barkley completed 15 passes. He wasnt Aaron Rodgers. The Jets are a dumpster fire. Allen healthy gives Buffalo the best chance to win. He led them to 2 victories over probable playoff teams. Imo he was on his way to beating the Texans before getting hurt.
  12. Allen showed promise. Allen should have been the starter since May. That cant be undone. Healthy after the bye you start Allen. Allen has the better arm, is more mobile and has more potential than anyone Buffalo has. Beating the Vikings on the road vs beating the Jets on the road is 10X more impressive.
  13. The season at this point is getting Allen experience and enough time under center to evaluate him as a player. He showed flashes of being very promising. If the next 6 weeks Allen looks good and Buffalo can win more than lose they are set up perfectly for next year.
  14. This incident allows him to fall outside of the top 5 right to Buffalo. He is one of the few difference makers available. This is a case where the coach acts insecure, and less mature than his athlete. Buffalo is at the point where they need talent.
  15. He is bottom half in the NFL in contested catches. For a slow talk wr that's all he has. The plays he doesnt make the catch the defense wins.
  16. The talent is not top 25 on offense in the NFL. I will say they have have some complementary pieces now. Mitchell could fit a Tarik Cohen type role. Match up nightmare and stretch the defense horizontally. Foster flashed the ability to stretch the defense deep. Zay looks like the best underneath Wr. Benjamin drops big plays every week. He plays football like he is 6-1. For his size he is not winning 1 on 1 jump balls. The offense should be able to move the ball and pick up first downs. They have no margin for error. If they catch balls they are ok. A few drops will kill drives.
  17. Was Barkley beating a terrible jets team more impressive than Allen vs Minnesota? No. Is Barkley a franchise Qb? No. Why when you are 3-6 would you go with a guy on the team 3 weeks over your first rd draft pick? Its lunacy to have the discussion.
  18. The defense is pretty solid overall. With the money Buffalo has to spend this offseason, the rest of the year needs to be used to get Allen ready to go. If he looks like a guy in December 2019 could be a huge year for Buffalo.
  19. Best the offense looked since Minnesota for sure. Offense had rythem for the first time in weeks. I think they need to release Peterman on Monday and open a roster spot. Barkley looks like a solid back up. If Allen isnt healthy he should remain the start. Once Allen is 100% they need to get him reps. Like McKenzie and foster on the field. Forces defense to respect their speed.
  20. Close, but no. As soon as Allen is 100% he starts and Peterman is cut. Barkley looks like a capable backup. Last 6 games you need to develop Allen.
  21. After sitting for 2 weeks due to injury and not taking full reps in the week of practice leading into the game why rush him back? Buffalo isnt running the table. They are not making the playoffs. After Sunday they go on the bye. Get Allen back 100% give him all the reps during the off week and following week. See if Allen can get the team to win more than lose down the stretch. End 2018 on a high note with a hopeful franchise qb.
  22. Expectations. Rex came in with the mindset I'm making the difference. The defense was top 10, he was making it the best. McDermott saw what was broken. He wanted to do a total rebuild, but trying not to sacrifice too much in the short term. Imo after making the playoffs they got the clout and the ability to full fledge rebuild. The defense is close and the offense is a mess. Looking at salaries and resources it is not a surprise. Pegula is not caught off guard by anything this year except for his infatuation with Peterman.
  23. Smells like Allen plays Sunday. As a fan in a vacuum I want to see Allen play. He makes me actually excited to watch the game. That said, I think he should sit til after the bye. Problem is the closet Peterman should be to a Nfl feild is the first row of a stadium.
  24. Imo no inside information is needed to see what is happening. The Bill's were in a significant cap problem when McDermott took over. Yes they were more talented but they were also lacking elite players. Watkins and Dareus were the best players on the team, but were not elite but only for glimpses and were not leaders. The defense is heading in the right direction and are a few tweaks from becoming a very good modern defense. The offense has taken the blunt of the damage. Mathews and Benjamin both flopped but were young with past production. I'm curious to see how Buffalo handle this offseason. The caliber of weapons will come down to the level of play Allen shows the remaining part of the year.
  25. A guy who 6 months ago believes Peterman can start and do well should be questioned. I will never know why McDermott treated Allen opposite of how he treated Edmunds. Beane makes moves based off how McDermott sets the depth chart. I blame McDermott for 90% of the QB carousel. His judgment of the most important position in football is a real black eye. I'm curious how many blow outs can the Pegulas stomach before they are wanting answers.
