  1. Yeah it's bothered me that they focus only on the things that stayed the same and ignore the improvements. Sure the starting tackles weren't upgraded (a regular focus of the "they didn't improve" crowd) but the new guards alone should be worth another point per game. Marginal upgrades at RB and WR combine for another point per game. Kinkaid paired with Knox could damn well be worth another TD per game but to be conservatively realistic I'll say another point per game. Imagine us with an extra field goal on average per game. Of course the counter argument is if our defense is weaker that means less time for the offense to be on the field, but I'm not seeing it. We "lost" Edmunds, that's it. I was a fan of his but admit he was overrated by many and had serious flaws he never seemed to work out. Whomever wins the job or plugging in the new guy from Houston shouldn't be a big drop off. The age of Hyde/Poyer/Milano isn't an issue until proven otherwise. They just had bad luck with fluke injuries last year. Our CBs should be even better this year with a 100% White no longer recovering from his injury, and more experience from Jackson/Elam/Benford. D-line should be about the same, possibly better if Floyd shows out. *edit* Oh and I should add that statistically we were the hardest hit team by injuries in the entire AFC last year, with injuries to about 312% of our defensive starters and half the offense. Absolutely ludicrous that we're being picked to drop off so far and even miss the playoffs. We'll be better than ever and show everyone up like the Chiefs did last year being doubted after losing Hill.
  2. That caught me off guard and I might have peed a little laughing.
  3. 7-6 in 2021 was a massive fluke filled with screwjobs and things beyond our control. Of those 6 losses only 2 were legitimate straight up losses in the somewhat flukey week 1 against Steelers and the beating from Indy. The other 4 were... - Titans aided by multiple uncalled blatant holds on Henry's long TD run, and Josh's foot slipping on crap turf. - Loss to Jags which I consider the worst officiated game that nobody talks about, because it wasn't a high profile game. - Windstorm game against Patriots completely nerfing our passing offense vs the more run focused Pats. - Buccs DBs getting away with committing war crimes against Diggs in a game that had no business making it to OT. And those all came after a 4 game stretch where we went 156-41 point differential with 2 shutouts and a dominant road win in KC.
  4. Was he the guy who threw for 3 yards per attempt and 50% completion, all the while the home announcers were sucking him off like he was the next Patrick Mahomes?
  5. And you think weakening his blind side won't lead to more hits in the pocket? Contrary to popular belief, he doesn't needlessly scramble on EVERY snap.
  6. You sure about that? Your solution to Josh frequently having to scramble is to further weaken his blind side and make him have to scramble more. You trying to get him injured?
  7. Awesome! We'll have a backup who, according to Nick Wright before we shut out Houston, is better than Josh Allen!
  8. Showing highlights including Sauce's "great play"......which was a clear holding/DPI lol. I guess they're giving him a second year of getting away with murder.
  9. I'm stuck with a Bears feed with the announcers too busy fellating Bears wangs to call the game straight. I get home announcers ate generally pro-home team, but I can't stand this kind of complete lack of objectivity.
  10. Refs call BS holding on Quess in red zone... Kyle Allen- "...and I took that personally." Reffing has been screwy this game.
  11. If this announcer sucks off the Bears any harder, I'm going to have to mute my stream.
  12. Ball literally hit the defender right in the hand, but ok go off I guess if you're determined to hate on Davis. Plus the first "drop" was a 312 mph piss missile on a 3 yard pass with about 4 nanoseconds to react. I'd put that one on playcalling or too much heat from Josh.
  13. McCorkle Jones winning possibly the toughest division in the league by sweeping the division and going 4-7 against the rest of the league. Makes sense.
  14. I find it cute you added "would give higher than a 4th" as an option. I find it disgusting someone actually picked it...
  15. Aside from the entertainment of the board exploding, that would make the massively overrated/hyped Jets the favorites against us for easy money.
  16. EVERY team "collects" these guys. They're usually called camp bodies or depth players.
  17. This post reeks of "we didn't draft the guy IIIIIIIIII wanted, therefore he sucks". So which WR did you want us to draft up for?
  18. I'm starting to think you simply don't understand what a fluke is. Anybody can stumble into "superior execution" for a play or two where they do everything right for once. Getting it perfect once and then never again doesn't mean they deserve the full credit for doing it right the ONE time. I used to play table tennis on a regular basis and there was this superior player I could never beat, not even close. Then one day I just happened to put it together and took a single game from him and went right back to losing to him. There was just a momentary lapse in his focus in a certain aspect of his play I accidentally took advantage of. It was a fluke despite my temporary "superior execution".
  19. You call under 2 yards per rush on 30+ carries outside of that one long TD "superior execution"? You call 144 total pass yards even including that 25 yard TD superior execution? I call that proof of a 1st quarter fluke.
  20. 1s vs 1s getting our butts handed to us lasted all of 2 TDs on 2 plays for the Steelers. It's called a fluke. They averaged 4.4 yards per play INCLUDING those 87 yards on 2 plays, compared to our 5.8 yards per play. *edit* Outside those 2 TDs, the math works out to 3.1 yards per play for them.
  21. Felt to me like Barkley tried too hard to keep up the momentum from last week after being promoted to QB2 for today.
  22. After a fluke start of the Steelers scoring 2 TDs on 2 plays, they did a whole lot of diddly and squat against our defense the rest of the game. After the opening drive, they never again scored points on a drive from further than midfield. They ended up going... - punt - punt - punt - TD from on drive starting on our 7 yard line that should have been a FG - FG on a drive starting in our red zone - FG on drive starting mid field - fumble - punt - punt Wasn't the first time the Steelers pulled a fluke win on us. Kyle Allen and Barkley made mistakes trying to out-gunsling the other after Barkley's performance last week heated up the competition for QB2. *edit* And of course THIRTEEN penalties didn't help. No idea what to say about that part.
  23. Was that when we...(checks notes)...came out flat and lost to the Steelers week 1?
  24. INT on first pass from Tua, you hate to see it...
  25. So you are "really concerned" about our depth, but admit you have no idea who they are? Is that worth making a thread about? "Guys, I don't know the first thing about the socioeconomic situation in Argentina, but I'm really concerned about if their adherence to the Gregorian calendar affects their ability to service underprivileged youth during holidays and I felt everyone needed to know that."
