  1. It's literally to prevent a Mighty Ducks Flying V formation of 300+ pound offensive linemen plowing a path to the endzone for Baker through all those smaller DBs flooding the back end. Have to at least throw a few guys at the O-line to keep them honest and maintain the numbers advantage for the jump ball.
  2. I'm surprised there's still someone who doesn't know Wembley is a dual pitch arena. The grass is rolled out and reserved for soccer matches, while the NFL gets stuck with the artificial base of turf.
  3. There was a poll that showed 97% of people hears him say JR Smith. The other 3% are apparently weird Swift fans or trolls... I didn't even know who JR Smith was and I distinctly remember going "Who is JR Smith, some basketball player I assume?" when it happened live. It was that obvious to me what he was saying.
  4. How does losing your punter to a rightful ejection in the 1st quarter NOT affect the game? I'll never understand people pulling "it didn't affect the game" just because it wasn't the literal last deciding play of the game or something. Butterfly Effect, things change. Ahhh YOU be serious. Throwing a punch is an AUTOMATIC ejection no matter what helmet the other guy is wearing.
  5. Yeah I don't get how people don't understand going for high hits late is a gamble. These guys are getting greedy and going for the high strip, where it turns into feast or famine of pass deflection/fumble if it connects vs smart QB snapping their head back and getting a free penalty if they miss. Josh is so good at powering out of sacks that guys are going after the ball instead, and ANY QB with 2 brain cells to rub together would embellish a little when defenders get sloppy with throwing hands up in their faces.
  6. Curiously, at least last year, Mahomes rarely ever pulled a DPI it was all (a league leading amount of) holdings and illegal contacts. Aside from 6 inch shovel passes basically being impossible to interfere with, DPI is a high profile and visible penalty that will get scrutinized (see our Giants and Bucs finishes). Defensive holding/IC by definition happens away from the play and can be thrown as a bailout on basically any play without much scrutiny. Weird how KC is considered to have a weak WR corps, but they just apparently keep burning defenders so bad they keep holding...
  7. On our OPI, it looked to me like the NE defender threw himself in front of Murray to be knocked down, like a basketball defender trying to draw a charging foul. Murray was denied the right to run his route, but the defender sold the contact better. As for the picked up ineligible man downfield, definite "make up call" from earlier.
  8. We don't need more random thought threads.
  9. I'll just run it back 38-9 for the Bills. At least the 9 part hit last time, we're just warming up.
  10. No, it doesn't work like that. The 2 point conversion was exactly why they made the choice they did, so of course if you throw out the entire reason they did what they did it will seem senseless. The Giants hadn't scored a TD since the Bronze Age, and already demonstrated poor clock management and an inability to punch it in from inside the 5 during the first half. They gambled field advantage to try to force that TD challenged team to have to punch it in ON CONSECUTIVE PLAYS. Any team at any time can bust out a fluke long TD, so they wanted to protect against a fluke TD that would be an automatic loss regardless of it being from 60 or 75-90 yards out. Top defenses get burned on single play sometimes. But good luck beating that top defense twice in a row.
  11. Q - What do you call the person with the lowest grade from medical school? A - Doctor. Good teams find a way to win, sometimes even when at their worst. Fortunately the refs weren't completely against us like they have been in recent years to tip the scales to an L. We were in the same kind of "bad but should have won" game a couple years ago against the Jags where the refs blatantly tipped the favor towards the then-bad Jags, resulting in a loss that "didn't deserve to win anyways". Would you be happier if we lost vs the Giants? Some people clearly would be...
  12. I am awarding myself an honorable mention point for at least nailing the Giants scoring 9 points lol.
  13. Josh had never failed a sneak until Tennessee turf gave out under his foot. Then Morse snapped the ball into his own thigh against the Vikings. By homer law you give it to our home boy Josh.
  14. The insider being Fournette himself? What part about it makes no sense? It sounds plausible to me. Also cheaper. We don't have cap, gotta promote from within.
  15. Same as when the sky was falling after losing to the Steelers in preseason. We got "shredded" by a team that did the bulk of their damage on 2 plays in short order, and Jack all the rest of the game.
  16. I guess you missed the part where we tied a record for winning by 28+, including against "bad" teams.
  17. I volunteer this generous soul to donate a nut in my stead.
  18. Oh God thanks for reminding me about shotgun inside the 1. We have possibly the best QB sneaker in history and I don't remember the last time a sneak was called.
  19. I would literally give my left nut to never see another freaking shotgun draw.
  20. Refs are just REFUSING to call blatant holds by the Giants.
