You know people are just upset at not getting "their guy" when they're calling a player who was graded as "good backup with the potential to be a starter" a reach in the fifth round or even that he would have gone undrafted. Wild.

Well good thing I'm a draft noob who doesn't follow what those wannabes say heh. NFL.com has him graded as a "good backup with the potential to be a starter", and he was the top receiver prospect in the nation coming out of high school. From the sounds of it, would have been a day 1 or 2 pick had his college career and development not been hampered by injuries. Sounds like a good prospect (as in NOT a reach) to develop from the 5th round.

People talking about reaches in the 5th round like it was some unscouted longsnapper or something lol. They're ALL projects at this point.

I could have swore I saw Schoonmaker mocked to us in the 3rd, so was a little surprised to see him go in the 2nd. Wasn't surprised it was Dallas to do it though since we stole Kinkaid.

Yeah "make the D declare themselves" is exactly what the radio guys were saying about putting out 2 TE sets. More DBs? OK we run it down your throats. More LBs/DL? OK good luck covering elite pass catching TEs with LBs or dropping a DE into coverage.

Kincaid had more TDs in a 2 year span (19) than Mayer had in his career (18). Just admit you don't know what you're talking about.

IronMaidenBills is just outing himself as one of those "I'm never happy unless my team is stocked with nothing less than 53 unanimous 1st Team All Pros". 1- He's just flat out wrong about Gabe being "not good". He has borderline elite abilities, just with a drops issue that led to our new OC not trusting him with a higher workload. He still produced well despite his drops. Does he forget all the examples (like your image) of Davis torching "average" DBs? 2- I'll never get the mindset of people who think complicated things are "just that easy" to solve. Like "they'll just put a good CB on Kincaid". Well.....what about Kincaid being good? Why is the good CB (if one is even available, like you said) automatically shutting down the good TE? Will the top TE TD machine in the nation NEVER win that battle? Why is a lighter defensive scheme with more "good" DBs being weaker to the run not considered? We did GREAT to get him at 25. But yes, these "humanoids" were inevitably going to complain about not getting "their guy", regardless of the value of getting a top 10 talent and top 1 TE that far down the round. No accounting for the run on WRs ahead of us, or the remaining OLs and LBs not having grades worth the pick. It's easy to say we should have traded down, ignoring THEY WANTED KINCAID.
