Sideline TEMPERATURE Dolphins v Vikings
1ManRaid replied to DallasBillsFan1's topic in The Stadium Wall
Now I'm imagining a weird scenario where in our new stadium (on rainy days) we take advantage of the current rules to dictate you can only hydrate your team with collected rainwater from the sideline rain shelters. Oh sorry visiting Dolphins, our new stadium is coincidentally oriented so that rain only falls on our side of the field. -
Sideline TEMPERATURE Dolphins v Vikings
1ManRaid replied to DallasBillsFan1's topic in The Stadium Wall
The Pegulas should use their fracking experience to find a geothermal vent to build the new stadium in an orientation that it naturally heats the Bills' sideline in the sub-zero winter. Watch the Fish fans hypocrites lose their crap about the "unfair advantage". -
Good thing we're 6 games in then.

NFL Week #6 - Bills at the Chiefs - 1st half game thread
1ManRaid replied to BuffaloBill's topic in The Stadium Wall
I didn't see holding on either of those replays. -
It's funny how the more toxic a fanbase is (Chiefs Planet for example) the more likely they are to claim the Bills fans are the worst and most toxic in the league. Fanbases who aren't drunk on their own success tend to like Bills Mafia. Weird how that works, eh? Almost like it's projection from their fears about the Bills finally being good and a threat to their team's success.

BARNBURNER ALERT - Commanders @ Bears TNF
1ManRaid replied to EmotionallyUnstable's topic in The Stadium Wall
This surge of scoring is going to be tough for Bills-Chiefs to follow. -
High speed cameras keyed in on specific limited areas of the court. Absolutely wouldn't work in NFL.
-
Wouldn't work. It only works in tennis because the cameras have clear sight lines to the spherical ball, not to an egg lump tucked into a gut covered by arms, amongst a swarm of tacklers. Also in tennis they only have to have the system covering a limited area looking at specific lines. An NFL field is massive in comparison and would require much more equipment, distances, and cost. And again, wouldn't work anyways.
-
No they haven't. Those are mainly camera based, not GPS. We already have camera review in NFL. Also where do you put the chip in a hollow, spherical ball?
-
You greatly overestimate the accuracy of GPS chips. Also, another solution in search of a problem.

The rooks had a day against Pittsburgh
1ManRaid replied to John from Riverside's topic in The Stadium Wall
I'll take it as meaning they were "in" Pittsburgh, without lube. Also, not a rookie but apparently Hodgins had his first reception. -
I'm not sure if you're aware, but this is a public discussion forum where we talk about things relating to the Buffalo Bills. You may notice Epenesa is a player for said team. By transitive conjunctive properties of thermodynamics (as long as they don't have a hanging proposition), events related to Epenesa may be discussed here. You're welcome.

The Bills won yesterday because.... (karma reasons only)
1ManRaid replied to Just Jack's topic in The Stadium Wall
I visited my mom for like the first time in two years (long story) and watched the game there. -
As far as I know it was only confirmed they contacted about him in the offseason. This tweet notably doesn't specify when the contact was made.

Lol what would you call suddenly losing possession of the ball in the field of play then? I literally have no idea where you could get the idea that's not a possible fumble. Possibly the worst demonstration of lack of football knowledge I've ever seen. You've never seen a runner with possession after a handoff get hit, cough it up, and a defender catch it before it hits the ground? You gonna call that an INT without a pass of something?
-
I was over there too. What a sad, pathetic bunch. One week they're talking smack about how we'll have excuses for losing these past two games and how injuries don't matter, the next week they're literally going on rants about conspiracies and things not counting because of injuries.

Yeah, Gabe has an extra 2 inches and 10+ pounds (of muscle) over the average NFL WR (6'2" 210+ pounds vs 6'0" 200 pounds) so I imagine the encumbrance of the pads affects him less. He's also "got that dog in him" to be the best he can be, so there's that for what it's worth.

Death, taxes, and Einstein b****ing after a game.

Turning Point: Breaking down the Poyer endzone INT
1ManRaid replied to Einstein's topic in The Stadium Wall
A positive thread? Who are you and what did you to with Einstein? Sadly the seemingly vast majority of people online won't understand the analytics and base football knowledge that went into the objectively correct choice to go for it there. All anyone cares about is box scores and stats without context. I can't imagine how many people in the YouTube comments think I'm a Ravens fan this past week, with my defense of Harb. -
I forget the exact specifics but it was reported on the radio but apparently his blocking in some sort of capacity has tripled from 7% (in whatever metrics, percent of plays or something) in previous years to 20+% this year. He got his money, he'll do what's asked of him. I'm also of the notion that they're saving him for bigger/match-up games like the Chiefs while they bring Morris along. Nothing to worry about with his "slow start".
