  1. Not that I'm pessimistic about our chances, but even my uneducated ass has a family sized pinch of salt for the strong "hot take" predictions of someone who is so outdated on something as basic as our roster.
  2. I could see a LOT of first downs to Beasley in a no-huddle, with how quickly he gets open and them supposedly wanting Josh to focus more on the short game.
  3. Did I say a single damned thing about teams saving money, or did you miss that I was clearly arguing for the players to fight for what they can get?
  4. Yo dude that's just snow, not floating popcorn shrimp.
  5. What you call dancing, others may call ball carrier vision behind a horrendous O-line. If he ran "north-south" right into the asses of a blocked hole, people would rip into him for NOT dancing.
  6. To those screaming "just sign already", hundreds of thousands of dollars is still a lot of money to kids who aren't guaranteed to still be in the league for a big second contract, it's worth fighting for.
  7. Yeah you know the rule here, if he isn't 100% dominant 100% of the time, he's a bust and that salary "could be better spent elsewhere".
  8. Remember when we were widely criticized for moving the "undersized" Kyle Williams to nose tackle for a while? He only became a top 3 rated NT for the snaps he was there because of his ABILITY and motor. Pfft, I bet he only blows through triple teams, like, half the time.
  9. Isn't this info already in the other thread about him?
  10. Love reading all the nuclear hot takes from armchair coaches and GMs about a backup role player on a team with lots of cap space. Can football get here already? *edit* Like seriously, bitching about less than $3m/year being spent on a guy who fits our offense, that it "could be better spent elsewhere". WHERE? We're out of holes to fill and still have $20m+ to trade for big splash player upgrades. I'm tired of idiots just flinging baseless complaints without offering the alternative they are so sure exists. Sorry, rant over.
  11. Fun how rules to possibly clamp down on offensive pass interference come down AFTER Gronk (aka the king of pushing off and clubbing people with his "brace") retired.
  12. I'll bet you a pound of wings at Duff's, although I'm cool with either lineup.
  13. That's the feeling I got. Still neat we got a supposedly potential #1 pick at #9 anyways. I would actually find a compilation of old predictions and how they turned out to be interesting. I like those lists with draft prediction turnouts and whatnot.
  14. I see the college workload as "cool, so he got a lot of reps and development in before being able to have a light learning year with us". Going to be an absolute stud starter next year when he graduates from sharing the #3 RB spot to the starter. People complain about Knox's lack of production but then complain this kid did too much...
  15. Then we could just put HIM on the practice squad. Genius!
  16. Belichick would love to poach our 3rd round TE for free.
  17. Crazy idea, but how about instead of hiring some random vet TE to be a TE coach, you just hire a TE coach. I went to school, doesn't make me a teacher.
  18. Especially one they traded up to get. He's not some borderline 53rd roster spot, he's going to play. Predicting a super talented and needed TE from the 3rd round is going immediately to the PS is core of the sun levels of a hot take. *edit* Oh and if it still isn't clear to some, the practice squad isn't something you "just put" players on. You have to CUT them first. There aren't 31 other teams in the league who will take a talented TE to their 53 for free that we spent a pair of 4th round draft picks to get in the first place?
  19. There's so many damned periods in there I'm not sure what you are trying to say. 3000 year contract for BB to bring his average cap hit down. Massively front loaded of course with almost all as a signing bonus or something.
  20. I really don't see how this could ever work. There's too many moving parts behind the scenes and would stifle creation of new positions and opportunities.
  21. Beane's comments in the article on NFL.com seem to indicate they are leaning towards keeping Tyree on the roster as the #3.
  22. Apparently he already graduated, which would mean that highlighted part about exams would not apply.
