  1. Except when they permit them, like they did last year despite being "prohibited" at the time. I know the list. It was extra hot last year but cooler yesterday so allowing it then was likely a shallow PR move so they don't look bad for allowing people to get heat stroke for the sake of concession profits.
  2. I remember wondering why we had second stringers still playing in the 4th quarter.
  3. They confiscated my bottle of water on my way in. They also took my mesh see-through bag and made me carry the rest of my stuff by hand, which was difficult on crutches.
  4. According to NFL.com, we put "LaAdrian Jones" on IR to sign him. Maybe Waddle's quad isn't as bad as was feared!
  5. Took someone long enough to suggest him. He even signed up for another year before retiring, probably wouldn't be impossible to talk him back onto the field if they don't go with Jackson.
  6. You're right, I think you might BE the fat alcoholic friend. "I'm asking for a friend" lol
  7. Lotta people both here and commenting on the article itself missing the point that they clearly specify this is not the league's doing. Third party administrators automatically flag any contracts for players who sign a contract without a drug test done that year. Silly oversight that should be addressed in the next CBA, not worth the headline outrage from near-sighted idiots too lazy to read the article. There will be no punishment for the "player".
  8. I think he crapped his pants. Or the team got it done in spite of him. Maybe could have been 38-0 with a better coach. *edit* It's like where defenders of (for example) a controversial movie say "the boycott/internet outrage clearly accomplished nothing, because the movie still pulled in $X million opening weekend". Well maybe it would have done 10% better without the boycott, or would have had better numbers after the opening weekend when the boycott-proof diehard fans had already seen it.
  9. Is that the first game? I'm just going with my dad but my Mom and step dad might like to take my niece and nephew.
  10. Apoplectic is a great word. Belongs in a word of the day calendar.
  11. Eh, after our 3-0 start we'll just need to manage .500 the rest of the year to contend for a Wild Card spot. Very possible, if not likely.
  12. I can't get past how he spelled bizarre "bazar" and that he went into about how he's some expert psychologist by not naming the quarterbacks to ensure there's no knee jerk reactions to the post? Is Voldemort one of their QBs?
  13. I live across the border in St. Catharines, but close enough.
  14. I bought tickets! To the preseason games... Yeah I know Weeks 1 and 4 suck, but I like just being there seeing the team and it's fun to take the family for cheap. Midfield seats, second row for the one game and aisle seats for my limited mobility mother for the other.
  15. The best time to catch them is when they don't expect a test? Won't think to take those drug masking products? I dunno.
  16. Yeah, what Aussie said. I vaguely remember at the time thinking the Patriots were just too far down the order to make a move. Moving up 20+ spots in the first round is exponentially more difficult than in later rounds.
  17. It's weird to see people still operating under the belief that NRC just horribly misplayed the ball. He straight up admitted he committed the foul on purpose. Something about he didn't think he was in position to make a play on the ball so went after the man or something to that effect.
  18. Except that was a legitimate case the lady won. The coffee was brewed/served at WAY too high a temperature, and I'm not sure but there may have been something about the lid not being secured properly. She wound up with actual horrible burns on her lap and groin. And they did come down on her for spilling it on herself, ruling she was 20% at fault thus losing that percentage of the money awarded. Because of the case, it became mandated that they actually implement safety protocols to make sure coffee is served at a temperature that won't cause third degree burns to your crotch should there be an accident. TLDR, the meme of frivolously suing over coffee is a myth.
  19. Doesn't matter, you're in the geographic "market" so the answer is yes. You're answering a different question than the one asked.
  20. I'm in St. Catharines over by the Niagara Falls border, and the spread is pretty much the same here excluding Detroit and San Fran. I would love for there to be more of a public Bills presence here including Bills Backers bars considering our proximity to Buffalo, but I guess football culture isn't as engrained here on this side of the border.
  21. What would it have cost the Patriots? I know they always seem to have extra draft picks laying around but don't remember what they had at the time.
  22. I think I would rather have two great $9M receivers than one elite $18M receiver. There is a bigger drop off to the second or third corners than the gap between an elite receiver and the other team's top corner. What would have been your #2 WR is now on their #3 CB.
  23. For what it's worth, he's planning to -attend- a Sabres Stanley Cup because he's going to be -IN- the Bills Super Bowl.
