  1. I don't know if she would be excused from cases he is trying, but they're both Canadian so it's chill.
  2. Thanks, I hadn't even considered statute of limitations. I had considered asking my sister (who is a prosecutor and married to a judge) for their take on it but didn't get around to it.
  3. Yeah, I called that guy a thug too, cuz he is one. Take your SJW crusade elsewhere, not everything is racist. thug /THəɡ/ Learn to pronounce noun 1. a violent person, especially a criminal. "he was attacked by a gang of thugs" synonyms: ruffian, hoodlum, bully boy, bully, bandit, mugger, gangster, terrorist, gunman, murderer, killer, hitman, assassin, hooligan, vandal, Yardie; More
  4. You guys realize there is a difference between the game clock and play clock, right? Play clock running doesn't mean the game clock was.
  5. One for about the "if she had hard evidence, he would be charged with a crime, suspicious she is suing him instead" crowd. Civil and criminal courts are TWO ENTIRELY DIFFERENT THINGS with different standards of evidence. Have you all forgotten Deflategate already, and the term "preponderance of evidence"? She might just have evidence that is GOOD ENOUGH for civil court, but not good enough for a criminal charge. So it's not automatically suspicious or a "cash grab" that she is suing him instead of this being in a criminal proceeding. I'm sure if she had the "smoking gun", there would be charges instead.
  6. I mean I guess, if you really want to fight. What does our epic battle have to do with AB?
  7. Regardless of the education, "you can take the thug out of the streets, but you can't take the streets out of the thug".
  8. If I were a GM, I would do a background check of sorts on the writing habits of players we were interested in. Automatically disqualify anyone who went to college, but somehow still writes like a wannabe rapper with entitlement, self control, and anger issues. You're not on "the streets" anymore. Nothing worse than a thug being handed fame and millions of dollars.
  9. It never surprises me when thugs or narcissists like AB are borderline illiterate like that. Self control, entitlement, and anger issues abound.
  10. Already been explained by multiple people the clock was stopped. No clock to run out.
  11. For the record, my laughing out loud is only directed at the general insanity that keeps following him, not at what he allegedly did to those women.
  12. Yeah I considered that but figured that would be an "after the play" penalty and only affect field position, not replay the down. Suspensions would help though.
  13. It would be even better if you could get the D to commit a penalty like hands to the face (trying to escape the holding) to offset the team hold and play the down again.
  14. I love these threads. But you don't need to root for anyone if we just keep winning.
  15. When they are averaging 3.4 yards per play with time not on their side, you give them the long field. You don't risk giving them a short field to get lucky with. Is that the situation where you have the entire offense clutch onto a defender each and pull them onto the ground to run out the clock? I think I saw the Ravens do that. Well someone did that once.
  16. Yards per play is the big stat for me.
  17. "Never attribute to malice that which could easily be explained by stupidity." The circumstances do seem shady, but with AB being a complete nutjob the Occam's Razor explanation is that he skipped those team activities (and froze his feet) just because he's dumb and thinks he's bigger than the team. I don't think he's a skilled enough actor to be so convincing in his fight with the GM (considering he was so dumb as to freeze his feet), or smart/dedicated enough to freeze his feet on purpose in a plot to miss team time.
  18. I take it you are setting the over/under at 3.5 weeks and taking the over then? How are you differentiating between a mid-game blowup and a blowup any other day of the week? Probably would be better to just pick which NFL game week it happens in (a pool, not an over/under), or set the over/under by number of days (with a .5 to avoid pushes).
  19. I reviewed the slow mo of his "stumble" and not even a drunk person would stumble like that. His third step in getting up is to plant his left foot and drive himself to the right towards Allen. For one, a stumbling person wouldn't drive to the side like that. Then two, rather than try to get his right leg back on the ground to stop the stumble, he actually lifts it and keeps it elevated as he flies into Allen's knee. That's a clear dive. *edit* Also at the end his left foot also leaves the ground before his right even hits ground, even bracing his hand on the ground to maintain his trajectory before getting his legs back under him. If that's not a clear dive I don't know what is.
