  1. Green Bay was founded by people from Buffalo who said, "We like Buffalo's fatty foods, blue-collar mentality, and lake-effect snow, but it's just not cold enough here."
  2. I rooted for them in their first SB with Brady - before they became a dynasty. Two reasons: 1. I didn't want St. Louis to win a second consecutive SB. I was tired of the arrogance from the Rams, especially when Kurt Warner said "God assembled this team for a reason." 2. That was the season of 9/11, and it seemed appropriate for the Patriots to win it all that year. But I've rooted against them in every game since then.

  5. Happy birthday!
  6. Ironically, what used to be the Braves is now LA's other basketball team.
  7. I love The Simpsons and King of the Hill, but not Family Guy. It has its moments, but where the other two skirt the boundary between tasteful and tasteless when it makes sense in the plot, Family Guy goes for complete tastelessness just for the hell of it. Someone mentioned Bob's Burgers. I wasn't crazy about it at first, but it's grown on me.
  8. We still watch it. It's not as edgy as it used to be, but it's still funny.
  9. I don't know - do you think he has that much range?
  10. My wife and I went to the Great Blue Heron Music Festival - our 6th one in 12 years - and saw some great WNY bands.
  11. I think the defense will improve a little while the offense either stays about the same or takes a small step backwards. I expect that we'll go into the final week of the regular season at 8-7, needing a Bills win and another team's loss in order to get a wildcard spot.
  12. I was playing sandlot football in the early-to-mid 70s. The Bills had a really good running back - Orenthal, something or other - whose name was uttered whenever someone broke off a big run. On passing plays, it was Fergie to Chandler.
  13. My wife and I were at this show in '89. We re-watched it a couple of nights ago. Grateful Dead 7-4-89 Rich Stadium https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g_C7lpzwba0
  14. I support the idea of two QBs: one starter and one backup. Heck, I'd even add a third-stringer.
  15. I agree with all of that. In addition, keep doing backups. Mirrored drives don't protect your data from viruses or OS issues.
  16. “Could be other people also. A lot of people out there.”
  17. I respect a person who takes full responsibility for their mistakes; that's the mark of a true leader. Admit the error, correct it, and move on.
  18. Sorry for your loss, man.
  19. I never engage in such shen... antics, high jinks, escapades, horse play, tomfoolery ...
  20. Between the two of them, they have three Oscars and five more nominations for Best Actor. Wilson was robbed - he should have gotten the Oscar for Best Supporting Actor.
  21. Single guys beware: the next time you see "I swallow" on a Tinder profile, you might want to ask for specifics.
  22. He didn't even buy me dinner first.
  23. You can expect it next March. When my doctor was putting on the glove, he said, "This is going to be a little uncomfortable." I responded, "It's ALREADY a little uncomfortable."
