  1. So in a billion years or so, Brohm will be a franchise QB. Championship!
  2. I'd love to see them reproduce this scene with Walken as Data:
  3. '76 Cutlass Supreme, sorta like this one. Mine was silver with a maroon vinyl roof.
  4. Good read - thanks for posting! I was uneasy with the Dareus trade at first, but I see now that it was the right move. Instead of taking it as a wake-up call, he copped an attitude. Disappointing, to say the least, but it shows that Beane's instincts were correct.
  5. My wife wasn't watching the game, but she walked thru the living room when they hit the FG and I was cheering. She said, "So they won?" I replied, "Well, there's 16 seconds left so they have to kick off, and theoretically the Titans could ..."
  6. Baseball does the Old-Timers' Game. C'mon, NFL - make it happen.
  7. A couple weeks ago I was talking to a colleague about the Challenger accident. I mentioned that I was in graduate school when it happened; he responded, "I was in first grade."
  8. I prefer drums, but I'll eat either. I never knew the other part was called a "flat." On the side, celery with blue cheese. (The blue cheese is for the celery, not the wings.)
  9. Are you confessing or bragging?
  10. Maybe this belongs in the confession thread, but I never saw Buffalo 66 until about a year ago. I enjoyed it - not surprising, since I like weird movies anyway.
  11. Before the 2007 draft, I called Marv Levy, pretended to be Bill Walsh, and told him that Trent Edwards is special.
  12. I hid Thurman's helmet.
  13. I thought you said it was a beer.
  14. In a way, you were right. RJ was below-average but occasionally looked good enough to fool people into thinking he was competent. That pretty much describes the Bills for the 18 subsequent years.
  15. Coordination & response tests would make the most sense. Walk a straight line, read something out loud that requires a bit of concentration, etc. I know that leaves a lot of room for error on the part of the officer, but the arbitrary 0.08 doesn't make much sense either. Is there that big of a difference in driving ability between 0.07 and 0.08? To reduce the chance of officer error (or bias, for that matter), the tests should be video recorded and admissible in court.
  16. The stash was for pre-show tailgating, not while driving. How is that any different than alcohol?
  17. "The captain has asked that you return your meat to the upright position."
  18. Before we all laugh at this guy, shouldn't we see a picture of the car?
  19. Funny thing about that - they found a small stash in the car, which prompted them to bring us in for a strip search. I had a pipe on me and my GF had 2 Js. They confiscated that. Then they asked, "Do you have $50 between the two of you?" I asked, "Why?" He responded, "That's the fine. Pay it and you can leave." I asked (joking), "Do you take Visa?" He replied, "Yes." So I paid the fine with plastic. After they released us, I noticed that the stuff they found in the car was still sitting on the front seat. I quickly stashed it under the seat and we drove away. Fine: $50 ($43 American) Pipe: $10 2 Js: $2 Interesting story to tell: Priceless. Visa: It's everywhere you need to pay a fine.
  20. I wasn't technically arrested, but my then-girlfriend (now wife) and I were "detained" at the Canadian border while we were en route to a Pink Floyd show in Toronto. You can probably guess the reason. Cost me $43 ($50 Canadian). We still made it to the show on time.
  21. I had several close calls in my young and stupid days, but I was lucky enough to avoid the cuffs every time.
  22. When he hears a whistle blowin', he hangs his head and cries.
  23. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nwrvDBmoaXo
  24. Every generation thinks that the music from that generation is the best. The difference is that OUR generation is RIGHT about that. ?
