  1. In addition to the ones the OP listed, I'd keep Zay Jones, Isaiah McKenzie, and Shady. Zay goes back and forth between good games and bad, which shows that he's got the talent, he just needs a little time to become consistent. Give him one more year to see how he progresses, but definitely get some WR help. McKenzie seems pretty versatile and he's young. See what he can do next year. Shady has at least one more good year in him, assuming we fix the o-line. He can help in the passing game and he's a leader. He's worth his 2019 salary. Beyond that, who knows?
  2. Whenever I leave for a road trip and someone says, "Drive carefully," I always respond with, "Nah - I'm gonna drive like a maniac instead."
  3. Stale joke about "The Process" - check. Stale joke about watching the tape - check. Three pages and nobody mentioned clapping. Wow - you guys are slipping.
  4. Good thing the Bills are a football team and not a track squad.
  5. I have mixed feelings about the Rooney Rule. I'm opposed to wasting anyone's time by conducting a token interview, but on the other hand, the younger Rooney said that the rule was the only reason they interviewed Tomlin, and they ended up hiring him because he turned out to be the best candidate.
  6. I'm sure the fact that he's been a head coach before has nothing to do with it, right?
  7. ... and from Oakland to LA, then back to Oakland, and on to Vegas.
  8. At the time they did that, I didn't know why, given the amount time left on the clock. It wasn't until the D took the field and he called the TO that I realized what he was doing. McD must have planned that in advance.
  9. I agree with all of the above. Plus, I loved that he used a time out to let Kyle walk off the field with an ovation.
  10. Sorry about getting the shaft from your company, Limeaid. Loyalty is no longer a thing in the corporate world. In the long run, that's not good for anybody, including businesses. But the executives all about quarterly profits and short-term gains, so they don't care. Not to make light of an ugly situation, but I couldn't help notice that these two threads were at the top of this forum:
  11. Correlation does not necessarily imply causation. Some people are idiots without any substances.
  12. This was a cut-off news headline from years ago:
  13. No - that sounds just about right.
  14. So long, Kyle, and thanks for squishing the fish!
  15. The draft is a crapshoot. Win.
  16. Fare thee well, Kyle! Glad you were part of the drought-ending team.
  17. Both out of playoffs. Win or a better draft pick? Fillet the damn fish.
  18. I know what you mean. I'm disappointed in a lot of movies that substitute high-speed action for plot and dialog, and JJ's Star Trek adaptations are among them. It's still fun to see the old characters in new settings, but I could definitely live without the whiplash effects. Seems like the Star Wars series hasn't fallen into that trend quite as much as Trek.
  19. Two or three times a year, for the same reasons as the OP stated. The last two we saw at a theater were Bohemian Rhapsody (I could have waited to stream it, but my wife really wanted to see it sooner) and Solo (we like Sci-Fi on the big screen.)
  20. Are they implying that Santa joined the Mile High club?
  21. Merry Christmas, fellow Bills fans!
  22. The only Rush I listen to is a Canadian power trio.
  23. My son and I went to see Rush a few years ago, and I'm glad we did. I love their earlier stuff, up to and including Moving Pictures, but I sort of lost touch with them after that. Unfortunately they played mostly stuff from the 2000s during their first set, of which I only recognized a few songs, but it was still good. I knew they were promoting a new album (Clockwork Angels), so I bought it in advance so I'd be familiar with it during the show. They played most of that album in the second set. The whole show was good, but the place erupted during the encore when they played the 2112 Overture. Afterwards, my son said, "The whole show was good, but the 2112 part by itself was worth the price of the ticket." When he was an early teen, my wife and I turned him on to 2112. He played the album several times a day for about a week after that. That's parenting done right, my friends. We went to that show with two of my colleagues. One of them let me borrow a documentary about Rush. In one scene, Geddy and Alex were in a diner. Geddy still looks like he did in the 70s for the most part, but Alex looks like a middle-aged guy who works in a cubicle. The waitress went to the table and said, "Oh my god ... you're Geddy Lee!" Alex laughed and said, "Really? You're Geddy Lee?" She asked Geddy for his autograph, and while he was signing, he pointed at Alex and asked her if she wanted "that guy's" autograph. She said, "No. Just yours." They both got a good laugh out of that. Good thing Alex has a sense of humor. They also talked about their early years when they were opening for Kiss. One night, Gene Simmons came to their room and invited them to a party. He walked in and saw Geddy and Alex watching the news, while Neil was reading a book. Ah, the rock star lifestyle.
