Rebuilding your offense from the inside out
WhoTom replied to WideNine's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I agree with most of that, but you also need receivers who can catch. I wouldn't call that a distant second. -
Lol check out these patriot fans comments

... and Josh Allen. Technically, the Bills aren't in Buffalo. I know what you meant, though - the Pats are "New England," not "Boston." But originally, they were the Boston Patriots. In order to increase their fandom - because Boston is a baseball town - they went regional with the name a few years later. -

I feel bad for the subjects in the "control" group, and a little curious about what they did for the "placebo" group. -
RIP Penny Marshall - Actress, Comedienne, Director
WhoTom replied to Gugny's topic in Off the Wall Archives
Before she was Laverne, she played Oscar Madison's secretary, Myrna Turner, on The Odd Couple. One of my favorite scenes was when she was eating lunch at Felix and Oscar's apartment. Oscar: "Want something to wash that down?" Myrna: "Whaddya got?" Oscar, looking into the fridge: "Brown juice and green juice." Myrna: "What's the difference?" Oscar: "Two weeks." Myrna: "I'll pass." RIP, Penny. Thanks for the laughs. -
Oh - I had the sound turned down so I didn't hear it.

Ditto. Do they call that a pick-two? ?

Any “unique” sandwich ingredient combinations?
WhoTom replied to NoHuddleKelly12's topic in Off the Wall Archives
Hey, who hasn't gotten it on with a mayonnaise sandwich at least once before, amiright??? Oh wait - did you mean eating one? Never mind. (BTW, I made a sex joke on the first page of this thread.) -
We had clear skies here last night so I went out and looked with binoculars, but couldn't see it. I know my way around the constellations too - it should have been about halfway between the Pleiades and Aldebaran.

THE ROCKPILE REVIEW - Bills Come Back, Hold on to Beat Lions
WhoTom replied to Shaw66's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This is true, but at the same time, the great receivers make life easier for their QBs. I saw Stafford make some throws that were virtually identical to the ones you cited, but his receivers made great catches while ours didn't. There's a lot of room for improvement in every element of our passing game. In order, I'd say the need for improvement goes like this: 1. Receivers 2. O-line 3. Allen The fact that Allen is last on that list doesn't mean he's nearly perfect; it's really more of a testament to how bad the receiving corps and the O-line are right now. -

Then they should have gone out after Super Bowl LI. -

Sebastian Janikowski: Business Decision

He didn't need to make the tackle--just shove him out of bounds. I think a 260 pound kicker could have managed that. -

A Few Thoughts about the Lions Game, in no particular order
WhoTom replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
That shows how much our WR corps doesn't translate to the NFL. My brother-in-law, who lives in Seattle and doesn't see many Bills games, is visiting us this weekend. As we were watching Josh scramble on a play, he said "Oh, no!" as it looked like a sack was imminent. As Josh rolled to the right, I smiled and said, "Watch this." Three seconds later, he crossed the goal line. ? -

I saw an interview with the Seahawks' OC after that game. He asked the interviewer if he was expecting them to hand the ball to Marshawn and the reporter said "Yes." So the OC said something like this: "Well, I fooled a bunch of people, so I must have done something right." -
I read a little book about this guy:

I'm not saying he's great, but I wouldn't give up on an early second round draft pick, who's only in his second year, and has shown signs of competence. Give him at least one more season to get it together. -
With better receivers he might have fewer 4th quarter comebacks, since they'd likely have had the lead in several of those games.
