  1. I just check Kiper's Big Board, and ask..."what's the opposite?"
  2. Great topic! I'm an old timer, so here goes: 1) Led Zeppelin. I was pretty young and it would have been my 1st show - I got a little scared about it because of the occult stuff I had heard about Jimmy Page & just how heavy they were at the time. That would have been an amazing 1st show, though (my real 1st show ended up being REO Speedwagon a year later - a fun show, but really, by comparison...) 2) This is sacrilege, because I absolutely love this man's music, but Springsteen was a disappointment for me. I like a nice, tight show that leaves me wanting a little more. I wanted no more at all after seeing Bruce. Almost 4 hours. It felt endless, and just wore me out. Nirvana would have been a great one for sure. I watched a concert of theirs recently on TV, and the energy was off the charts.
  3. Thank you! I could not figure out what that was. That show (and BB) don't do anything by accident. I heard an interview w/ Odenkirk where he speculated that fans might be thinking a lot less about his character breaking bad, and much more about who the heck Kim Wexler is. I think Saul started slow. I thought the 1st few seasons were great, but a much more methodical and with less fulfilling set of arcs than BB. Now, it is easily just as good, and may even surpass. Kim & Lalo are 2 of the most compelling characters I've seen in that universe. And it's great to see that "star is born" thing w/ both Rhea S. and Tony D. Both have been working for a long time, and now they will likely be in high demand (if people get back to filming stuff again at some point, that is....)
  4. I really hope this season takes place. The Pats are really set up for a bad one - would be nice to grab a sweep against them after all of these years.
  5. I’d drink a case and streak through town, a la Old School. Then I’d call every friend I ever had to let them know we won the SB. Then I’d drink some more. So, I’d feel pretty good about it.
  6. People make too much of Darnold's meltdown against the Pats. He still has a ton of talent. I think it's going to he & Allen for many years ahead, almost like Marino & Kelly. Gotta love it, though. The Phins & Pats will be struggling to keep up. I love the idea of the Bills & Pats battling for 1st every year. It won't compute for Pats fans.
  7. On the Pats boards & twitter, roughly 50% of the fans have said something along the lines of "I'm a Pats fan, but I'll definitely be rooting for Tampa this year." They have a lot of Lombardi's, but it's not even close when it comes to determining who has the better fanbase. I'm sooooo glad I'm a Bills fan.
  8. New England? The team that used to be relevant?
  9. We tend to be pretty unforgiving of 1st rounders who don't pan out as promised. It's like a Bills tradition (though I know other teams do it as well). EJ wasn't very good, but let's face it: Buffalo was NOT a place for QB's to develop for the vast majority of the 2000's. We had all kinds of QB's come through that revolving door - experienced vets, promising youngsters, other team's cast-offs...the works. None made it. During the drought years, after Moulds/Price, we were never a hotbed of receiving talent, better than below-average line play, or decent coaching. Obviously, things have changed, but I really have no bad feelings about EJ, and it was nice to read that he's in a good place. It's not his fault that the Bills reached.
  10. Look up her Grammy performance w/ St. Vincent if you haven't seen it. I defy anyone to watch that and answer no to the OP.
  11. In a universe (starting w/ BB) where almost every character has been either morally compromised or genuinely bad, Lalo may be the baddest & most menacing. Tony Dalton is fantastic. And Rhea S. should definitely get an Emmy.
  12. BB and Brady, in both of their primes, could have probably gone to 80% of the rosters in the league and contended for a SB.
  13. We've been doing this a month. Over 20 million have lost jobs already. I'm not one of those who thinks this is any kind of hoax, but at some point you have to look at the risk of the virus vs. the risk of millions of lives being ruined & thrown into poverty. Sports can't wait a year. Start without fans. Move to partially filled stadiums. And so on. But they need to get on w/ it sooner rather than later.
  14. I could go to a game & watch Tre the whole time, and be exhilarated the whole time. He's one of those pure football players - great skills, great focus, great instincts. People compare him to Gilmore, saying he's still 2nd, but I won't have any of that. Gilmore mailed it in while he was here too much. I don't elevate players who only give their best when the situation is perfect for them or they're playing for a "winner." I'll never respect Gilmore.
  15. BB is a GENIUS COACH. He is also the most overrated GM of all time. What GM wouldn't love the following? 1) GOAT QB 2) GOAT QB taking less money every year to allow for a better roster 3) FA's taking less money to play w/ GOAT QB 4) FA's making NE their #1 destination to play w/ GOAT QB 5) GOAT QB makes players better than they are BB's drafts are consistently middlin'. There was a ranking where his 2nd round picks over the past 5 years (someone actually ranked that) were in the bottom 5. We'll see how great of a GM he is without Brady. Give me a break.
  16. I've been counting for over 7,000 days for Brady to leave New England. The Bills are playing football this year.
  17. Whenever I read any fanbase's message board after a big playoff loss, officials are generally a focus. There are always calls that fans point to as "the reason." I've even seen Pats fans do this, which seems impossible, since they have gotten every favorable call since Tom Brady arrived there. I'm aware of this quality in myself. I have the homer gene - I always feel like we get the short end of the stick. All that said, the Houston game was egregious. I saw no indication that it all "evened out." The calls against us were horrendous, and game-changing. Those calls affect perception, and legacies. Every time I see other fans talk about Allen, it's about the "meltdown" in the Houston game. But he did what the greats do - he overcame his mistakes to lead the Bills on what SHOULD have been a game-winning drive, before a phantom call ended it. I fully endorse the OP.
  18. I think the season ends up starting a month or so later, but (sadly) without fans in the stadiums. Or maybe they can work something out where fans can spread out & stadiums are only half capacity, or something like that. Probably a late February/early March SB.
  19. Never understood the CC hate. I really enjoy his commentary....
  20. BC, in all seriousness, I expect Bills fans to not fall into the "accuracy" trap that people who don't watch Allen play as much assume. Accuracy is one area where "eye test" evaluations are acceptable. Allen isn't like EJ and his "zip code" accuracy. He floats some long passes, Like ALL QB's do (see: Jimmy G, 4th quarter, SB). But without a true #1 receiver, Allen was pretty money last year. Lots of dropped passes along the way, but he wasn't all over the place. The accuracy critique is way overblown, imo.
  21. I loved/love "Breaking Bad," "Sons of Anarchy," "Better Call Saul," "Boardwalk Empire," and the 1st 5-6 seasons of "Walking Dead." I don't like "Billions" or the last few seasons of "Walking Dead." With that limited information, would anyone be able to tell me if I'd like "Ozark" and if it's worth getting into?
  22. I'd suggest nicknaming him "cheetah," but the Pats already have a lock on that...
  23. Patriots fans are rejoicing. Apparently, he had some significant anti-Pats bias, which I was never aware of (likely because I have a strong anti-Pats bias myself). I always liked him. I like most of the guys that usually get criticized - him, Collinsworth, Booger. I don't have a very high bar for announcing.
  24. The Buffalo Bills are an official franchise in the NFL. Josh Allen is the starting QB of the Buffalo Bills. Ergo, Josh Allen is a franchise QB. I'll be around all day if anyone has any additional questions.
  25. I think I remember one year during the drought when we had 18 guys on IR. I'm really enjoying the Pegula/McDermott/Beane era so far....
