After hearing Patriots fans (mostly online) assume the bye week and likely homefield throughout for the past month+, it would be the most glorious day of my sports life to see the Bills come out from under the radar & take the division over this last month. Even today, if you go on the Pats boards or twitter, whenever you see the rare suggestion that the Pats could lose the division, it's met w/ a dozen or so replies along the lines of "to the Bills? Give me a break." Ironically, the closest comparison would probably be something Boston fans experienced - going down by 3 games to the Yankees, a team that owned them for almost a century, and winning 4 in a row to improbably take that series and then go on to win the 'ship. It would make the past 2 decades 100% worth it.

What was that? Yo, D - this game ain't over. You can't allow a TD that easily.
-
I'm in love w/ this game. I want to marry this game. The division is IN REACH.
-
Just no TD here. PLEASE.

Brady has a LOT of head-scratchers these days. I actually don't recall even one head-scratcher in his 1st 15 years of professional football.
-
They find a way to not overturn this. That's their primary focus during this timeout. How do we keep the gain for the Patriots.
-
Um, yeah - I definitely see a "realistic" path, especially if the Pats lose tonight. That team has this fanbase broken like a horse. 20 years ago, you WANTED to be 1.5 games out with a month to go.

It is better to win the division.

He has the anger issues for sure. Every time someone hits him just a teensy bit too hard, he's up off the turf and chattering away....
-
This gets the "huh?" award of the day....
-
That personal foul call - I'm almost speechless. ONLY the Pats get that call. You really have to overcome a lot to beat that team.

People in the punditry will generally never give up on whatever their original evaluation of a player was. I've seen that a lot with Allen. So many "experts" had him as the classic big-armed guy who certain scouts fell in love with but always failed in the NFL. All of the "accuracy can't be taught" stuff that people just repeat without thinking about it. And they say it so much that they convince themselves it's immutable fact. They don't allow themselves to consider another possibility. I swear, Allen will be hoisting the Lombardi over his head, and a lot of those guys will still be calling him an inaccurate bust.

The 4th down run by Allen WAS the play of the game. It may also be the play of the season, and even of Allen's Bills career. Maybe it was just me, but I felt like that play, with the stakes so high in the Bills national "prove it" game, really set a tone for this team that will last. Star and Beasley had some interesting comments after the game, basically about being willing to follow Allen into any battle without question or hesitation. That play seems like the kind that every teammate would see and challenge themselves to live up to. Josh Allen is a true leader. Like everyone, I had something in my eye during that pre-game segment on Kelly. Allen reminds me of him in a lot of ways.

I mean, it's been a LONG time - but we finally have the holy triumvirate of champions: a smart GM, a franchise QB, and a great coach. Yesterday was such a big test: national TV, huge audience, down by 7 to a desperate team. Watching how McD and Allen both stepped up and had perhaps the best games of their professional careers made me feel very confident about how this team will be come playoff time, when the lights & noise get jacked up to 11.

Do the "look at me" actions of Shaq and Oliver bother you?

I enjoyed the attitude almost as much as the win. You've gotta have swagger in this league. -

Yeah - it’s easy to overlook that play, but it was a biggie. Our “inaccurate” QB - dropping dimes all day. -
It’s a pretty complete team. You could add a few things - a top WR, another pass rusher, etc. But there really isn’t a lack or hole. I love this team.

CBS: maybe we were wrong about the Bills

To get down by 7, on the road, with the nation watching - what a gutty win that was. -

Omg. I’m watching the Jones meltdown. It’s everything I could have hoped for after that 4th SB loss. Complete misery. -
Kept saying that. This win was a statement.
